I have found Purely Pets staff always helpful when I have telephoned regarding renewal. Their costings are very competitive and I have not found any better for my two dogs, both different in age and breed. Highly recommended.

Been with this company for a number of years for my Pet Insurance, I have never made a claim until earlier this year. My renewal was due last month and the premium has doubled from £30 per month to £60 which I think is daylight robbery, I was expecting it to increase a little but double really?

Although the age of your pet is considered when the premiums are generated, it's not the only factor involved.
We also take into account the area you live, the rising cost of veterinary fees and the advancement in veterinary medicine amongst other things.

Fair priced policy for better cover than previous policy
So far, this looks like a good policy. Hopefully, we will never need it. Nearly half the price of the renewal quote from previous insurers, even though we didn't make a claim on that.

Poor value
The settlement of our last claim barely covered half of what we had had to spend, then when it came to renewing the policy you almost doubled the premium. Which to my mind is more than unreasonable. It was only a lack of time to research alternative providers that kept me with you. If you applied a similar increase next year I will definitely not stay with Purely Pets.

Unbelievable increase in monthly insurance premium for an old dog with very little wrong with her. They wanted to increase premium from £80 to £150 per month.

Disappointed at price increase
Easy to renew policy. Only disappointing thing was the high increase in price of policy bearing in mind I have not made a claim since having my dog insured with them for the past 5 years. Did send an email questioning this as could have got it £10 a month cheaper but never received an answer! Stayed with them as tbh could not be bothered to change!

They will not give me an answer whether my dogs illness is insured or not. Myself and my vet have tried but they will not answer. Even when the vet has forwarded what needs to happen to my dog. Very disappointing

Underpaid claim amount
After putting a claim in for my dogs vet fees I was settled the amount but the payment was short of £65 which was for some medication which I had paid for separately,after 2 telephone calls explaining this which was also stated on the invoice it is now 2 months later and I haven't had any correspondence from them
