Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 102 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complained about excessively high prices, hidden penalty fees, and unexpected extra charges applied when arriving slightly early or slightly exceeding their initially booked time slots. Reviewers also struggled with frustrating booking processes, confusing website interfaces, and payment systems that made simple transactions unnecessarily difficult and stressful. Some reviewers were happy with the helpful on-site staff who assisted with parking and efficient shuttle bus services provided at specific healthcare locations. These particular services made their visits much smoother, offering a welcome relief despite the widespread negative feedback reported across other facilities.

Car broken into and belongings stolen…

Car broken into and belongings stolen from the boot, nothing left on show and only boot window smashed. White “security van” seen in the morning which stopped by the car and “warned” another family not to leave anything on show and to put everything into the boot. I was parked above a CCTV camera and there is apparently no footage of the incident. Would not recommend anyone parking here, Q Park themselves are no help and the police are not interested. Typical response of “should not leave anything in the vehicle we are not responsible etc”, despite being marketed as a secure carpark with CCTV. Another car was also broken into on the same day.

This is NOT a complaint

This is NOT a complaint
My partner and I came from Bucks today for him to attend a hospital appointment. The plan was to park in the Marble Arch facility and be picked up by a pre-booked taxi. He has very bad mobility issues following a fall and a series of TIAs. I asked the ‘Senior Parking Host’ Naqib Yahya for advice as to where the taxi was likely to come from. He could not have been more helpful or kinder. He told us to move the car to a place we could access easily. He then went to the Park Lane entrance, in case they came in that way, to direct them to us. Unfortunately, after half an hour they had failed to arrive and we had less than 10 minutes to get to our appointment. We made the decision to drive to it and sort out parking the other end
Upon trying to leave, the machine kept cancelling our payment and by this time, I was so anxious and stressed, I was near tears. Naqib came up and sorted the machine, but then, amazingly, pulled us over by the BMW bay. He sorted with them for us to use one of those spaces for two hours. He asked his lovely colleague, Tom, to run up to the main road and flag down a taxi for us and we made our appointment only ten minutes late. I cannot emphasise enough how the kindness of these two men turned a dreadful, stressful day, on its head
Total heroes

NEVER AGAIN. THEY ARE THIEVES

I booked from 2pm on the 8th until 5pm on the 9th at Dale Street Liverpool. We arrived at 12:30 (1:30 mins earlier) but left the following day at about 11am. That means I did not use the carpark for 6 hours. However, instead of taking this into account, they decided to charge me £6 for the extra time the day before. I complained and the answer was a total lack of care. They are quite happy to take your money without any consideration. Never again, I will go to the NCP next time. Well done Q Park this is how you send customers away.

I wish id looked at the reviews first

I wish id looked at the reviews first! Total scam of a company.
Booked a three hour slot at the harbourside, Bristol, but when we got there we were forced to buy a ticket as the number recognition cameras clearly wernt on as the website promised.
We couldn't even back out as there were two cars behind in a tight space.
Ended up paying an extra £7.50 for the ticket on top of the £10.50 pre booking.
Wrote them an email and told they will only supply a refund if I could supply the ticket purchased at the site, of course id thrown it away by this point, and advised them to look back through the number recognition or other cameras that should be in ooeration like most car parks these days and they would see the footage of my car arriving and leaving.
They flat out refused, obviously.
Nothing but a scam! Park else where.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful - would never recommend anyone to use and wish we had looked at reviews first. Very unhelpful staff, we were missed sold, extra charges all hidden away in small print. Will never use again - total rip off

Made a reservation in Manchester Q-Park…

Made a reservation in Manchester Q-Park and paid online. When I came to the park to barrier didn't open. They sent me a QR code, but that also didn't help. I had a meeting, so I got a ticket and the next day tried to reach someone on the phone at the entrance. Surprisingly, nobody answered the phone. Had to pay again to get out of the car park. For a week, I have already sent many emails and made telephone calls to make them pay me back. But they are such ignorant people trying to avoid the payment as much as they can. Sending a link to fill in the bank details, but that also ended with an error message.
Total disappointment with Q-Park services. Never park there again.

Avoid

Parked at Q-Park in Liverpool for an overnight stay. Was surprised how few cars were parked there, despite its central location. Soon found out why!! Pre-booked at an agreed rate between 22.00-9.00, but then Q-Park took unauthorised payments for a longer stay, despite us leaving at 8.40am n(which they acknowledged. Contacted Customer Service (Jacob) who was more than useless in resolving their error.

I would highly recommend other options in central Liverpool, where you can park all day for up to £6.00

Review for Q Park Oxford Street

Review for Q Park Oxford Street, London.

Wish I had seen the reviews before parking here. I hope this never happens to anyone and no one parks here for Heaven’s sakes. Our car was broken into and £3k worth of stuff including laptops were stolen. There were other cars also smashed. This is done by guys who move around in FOOD DELIVERY BIKES. This is an enclosed space and why on earth would food delivery bikes move around through underground parking spaces???? This is a totally organised crime and we doubt the security as well. The security goes around with flashlights looking into cars that are not even broken into. He seemed so calm when we reported it and simply gave us a form to fill in while these food delivery bikes kept roaming around looking at other cars.
BEWARE OF THE FAKE FOOD DELIVERY CRIMINALS !!!!
They even stole my baby’s nappy bag!!
Beside everything this parking stinks like a dirty public toilet.

We parked at Q Park Hanover Street

We parked at Q Park Hanover Street, Liverpool. We received a response from the help point every time we called. We also had a guy come down to free our bank card that we had stupidly inserted in the wrong place. The park had good facilities and what I had dreaded turned out to be a smooth and trustworthy experience.

Wellington Street Q Park (Leeds Car Park)

Pros and cons:
Pros: I got a space

Cons: Very, very tight car park and ramps. I drive an Audi A6 and it was a terrifying experience using this car park. Coming in there's an ok amount of room through the main entrance then it all goes to pot. From the 1st to the 2nd floor there was literally inches to spare turning my car onto the ramps... seriously, inches. I felt like I was undergoing a driver exam or something - Bloody awful.

All the parking spaces are in groups of 3, and typically all the middle ones were occupied. I parked next to a nice looking VW Golf and there was no room at all on the passengers side to open the door (I didn't have a passenger so just as well really) I could open my door half way to exit the car before hitting the Golf's door (I did it gently!)

The lighting on the third floor was unacceptably dim, however the lifts were clean and well signposted.

Leaving was pretty much as bad as using the internal ramps... The exit ramp down gave me about 2 inches either side of my car to clear the abrasive looking brick wall and the jutted out, grey painted high kerb. I was so annoyed by how crap their design is, I took a picture whilst stationary on the exit ramp for you to see what I mean (Found out you can't put pictures on here!).

If you have a large saloon like mine, or a large 4x4... forget it, you're going to damage it unless like me you were very lucky! No way will I be using this car park again, and I'd recommend people choose another, more accommodating one.

Car charging space pointless

Used hospital car park as had an appointment. Had travelled 180 miles so needed car charger. Q park had Blink charging points. Blink app wouldn’t work, so couldn’t charge car. Still had to pay for parking and had to go park/charge elsewhere so I could get home

Help with cancer treatment …

I am unfortunate enough to need cancer treatment every weekday for 6 weeks but I am so fortunate to have the help of Sam from Q-park. He picks me up from the train and drops me back there afterwards. He is punctual, polite and more than kind. I cannot praise Sam or his company highly enough

DON’T PARK AT TALBOT ST, NOTTINGHAM

DON’T PARK AT TALBOT ST, NOTTINGHAM. There are two exit points where two barriers move into one lane to exit meaning the gap to move over to the single lane is so tight to manoeuvre that cars are getting damaged. I have scratched my alloy as I saw another car in front touch the hanging poles. I complained to QPark and they acknowledge the tight space to manoeuvre but there’s nothing they can do to change it. They will not accept any liability for damage to vehicles including mine so I won’t be using their car parks in future. I’m disappointed but not surprised they won’t contribute for damage to vehicles when they set the limit of the spaces. There is no way it’s to British Industry Standard as there are many other car parks where the layout isn’t challenging to manoeuvre. 😣

Poor poor customer service

Prebooked 7am to 4pm for Waterloo location. Arrived at 6.42am (due to lack of traffic) and also left at 2.40pm, meaning that overall I was parked for less than I paid for. Have been charged a further £3 because I arrived early.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Q-Park locations across London have serious safety issues, with cars routinely being broken into. The company shows little interest in addressing these concerns and instead makes stressful situations even worse for customers. Their response to security complaints is dismissive, and despite their claims, there is no effective on-site security. If you value the safety of your vehicle, look elsewhere.
