My husband and I had booked an Amtrak Vacation through Railbookers to go to Montana, Seattle and San Francisco on Aug 5th out of Chicago. On July 10th , my 80 yr old husband took a nasty fall and was admitted to the hospital and released on Aug 13 th. On July 10th I was told that he could not travel anywhere as his condition was touch and go. I notified Rail Bookers immediately and Faye Insurance Company. Within a few days , I provided all the necessary documentation to include the Attending Physicians statement , photos and current medical updates. Raul bookers refused to reimburse me and offered me a two year future credit. Faye Travel Insurance refused to reimburse me on my claim because Raul Bookers has offered me a future credit. This trip cost us close to 14,thousand dollars and $1,700 for travel insurance. My husband was just diagnosed with terminal cancer and we booked this dream of a vacation so that he could see Montana. I’m extremely distressed as rail bookers will not refund our trip money. As being a senior, I guess it’s expected that a senior alone would travel anywhere with out a spouse. Amtrak now has credited my credit card with a refund of 4 thousand dollars. I guess they forgot the other $10 thousand dollars and refuse to give it back to us. So , what happens to my 10 k when I don’t use it , they get to keep our money. Disgusting behavior from Amtrak and Rail bookers. Beware of them.

Liam was very understanding concerning the problem with my reservation. I can honestly say that he went above and beyond what I normally would expect from a customer service representative.

I LOVE using Railbookers! There was an issue with my client’s itinerary due to a strike with the rail system and Greta Virsilaite not only helped me reroute them, but so quickly and with an even better itinerary than before. Highly recommend!

My fairly last minute travel ideas were expertly understood by Railbookers. By the end of the call the helpful agent had booked the rail tickets and hotel for my trip from the Uk to Avignon and back. My second excellent experience with this company.

Raymond was a joy to work with. My client made several changes to the Itinerary and Raymond was such a trooper. He answered all our questions and made great suggestions. His knowledge of the area was great. He made the process so easy and fun to explore all the details of the trip. I highly recommend and can't wait to use him again on my next trip to Alaska.

My family booked a trip to Ireland through AAA. We used Railbookers for our transfers. We flew American Airlines to Shannon where Railbookers was suppose to take us to Killarney. Unfortunately AA cancelled our flight and we were going to miss our transfer time. I was given a packet from AAA with everything needed in case there were any issues. I called the number that was given in the packet for Railbookers. I even have a screenshot of the calls made. I actually called 3 separate times. The lady who answered told me not to worry, when we find out the time we will be arriving, just call back, and they will make arrangements for us to be picked up. When I finally found out what our next flight would be, I called the same number and the lady who answered said she didn’t have any notes that I had called, and if we wanted to make a change we had to have our travel agent call…… So I called the travel agent who informed me that Railbookers came to get us, and it was a “no show” so we were on our own. $900.00 for 5 people to be taken an hour away to Killarney, and we were just left at the airport at 9:00 pm. We ended up getting a cab which cost us $400.00. If I could give them a 0 stars, I would. They completely ruined the first 2 days of our trip. Please be careful when booking with Railbookers. If you are late, make sure you keep records of calling (didn’t help me)so you can try to get reimbursed. BETTER YET, JUST DON’T USE THEM!!!!!

I have yet to hear from anyone from Railbookers. Another example of why I gave them 1 star. The below response says they will be getting back to me………………..NOT

Initially, I explored booking our trip to Germany with Railbookers directly. However, I ended up booking the same trip for a better price through AAA. I will not be using AAA or Railbookers for my travel plans anymore. Recently signed up for a five city Germany tour through AAA using Railbookers in a package billed as a "The Romantic Road". They promised us multiple guided tours, four-star hotels complete with breakfasts and locations close to city centers, and generally a vacation package where everything was taken care of. None of this happened. Due to a glitch on their end, all but one of our tours were all accidentally cancelled so we found ourselves in a foreign country entirely on our own. Our hotels were not four-star, not convenient to city centers, and only one came with breakfast. Railbookers finally agreed to reimburse us for the cancelled tours at least, but in the end, we basically paid them to poorly plan sub-par accommodations. And AAA was of no help. When we reached out to them to explain how disappointing the package was, our AAA rep, Abigail, was unconcerned if not dismissive. When we reached out to the AAA supervisor, Pat Fowler, she initially expressed a great deal of sympathy and regret, promising hard conversations with Abigail and promising to look into the situation, including their partnership with Railbookers. She promised she would get back to us. It took three weeks and multiple calls, but we finally heard back from AAA. We have not heard back since. Railbookers gave us $140.00 refund for a Munich Hotel that had a mattress so stained, we asked to be relocated to another room. We planned the trip to commemorate two retirements, a honeymoon, and three graduations. We planned it for 18 months. In the end, we made the trip great ourselves and would suggest to others that they just plan their own vacations as well, but at the very least we recommend that you avoid the "help" of AAA or Railbookers.

Kelli is the best! She knows her stuff.
She is patient and friendly and really listens to what you’re looking for in your trip. Then she makes it happen. She was extremely helpful. I would definitely go through Railbookers and Kelli again.

Hillary was amazing to work with and he has some kind of magic touch. She was able to solve an issue quickly. Everyone at Railbookers has been amazing.

When we went to the rail station to print out our pre-paid tickets we did not have the correct number. We went to the customer service at the rail station who checked their system and we were no where to be found. The service individual reviewed our printed itinerary and could not find the number. We are now in the process of asking for a full refund as we had to pay for the train tickets and all railbookers is offering is a travel voucher for nothing near what we paid for the tickets and are refusing to refund our credit card. It should be noted that this was not a short or cheap vacation -this is really a shame as the overall vacation and tours were good but this leaves us not wanting to use railbookers ever again. Shame on railbookers for this failure!

When we tried to print our pre paid rail tickets at the station we found out that despite instructions to use the booking reference it was not so. Apparently there was another reference no that we did not have on the printed sheets. It took quite a while to find this out!!
We called customer service and spoke to Anita. She wss most helpful and explained why. She Immediately emailed what we needed and offered to stay on the phone with us untill we printed the tickets. Her willingness to help and see us out of trouble was beyond what we expected and greatly appreciated. She was calm helpful and professional. 10 out of 10 for her

Kelli Lundquist helped me book a bucket list train ride on Amtrak. She is enthusiastic, helpful, and knowledgeable. I feel lucky to have been helped by her and would highly recommend her to anyone interested in a train ride.

Hilary was very helpful with an issue of the credit amount for myself and a travel companion. She got each of us the correct amounts.

Anita was so very helpful with all of my questions. She was so thorough is making sure I had all the information I needed and was so pleasant to work with.
