After reading all the reviews we decided to visit the Uddingston store, what can i say! Elaine was the most helpful person ever, service was second to none, she even laughed at my husbands jokes! and when our suite was delivered, the guys were fabulous. Would recommend R & J to anyone.

I don’t appreciate being told that we are liars. We definitely are not and we were told that we would have our suite for Christmas which didn’t happen. Next deliver date was 1st week in January, again that wasn’t going to happen. The latest was the end of January which would have brought our wait to 6 months which we decided was a step too far.
As I said when I asked about a loan suite the lady I spoke to in Hamilton advised me that she didn’t have anything available.
So I was definitely not happy especially as I couldn’t get answers from their Head Office after being told to phone there as they deal with the orders and shipping.
I had dealt with Elaine in Uddingston when buying other goods and she was excellent. The delivery date she gave me was spot on.

Elaine (Uddinston) was a pleasure to deal with today, she is very knowledgeable, we told her what we were looking for and she pointed us in the right direction and we bought the suit we wanted. Elaine made the whole experience enjoyable.

We needed a new 3 piece suite and decided to give R&J leather a visit as we have hears good comments. We were greeted by Elaine who was extremely helpful but did not try to pressure us. We took our time and once we had narrowed down our options Elaine appeared and provided information and options that let us choose our purchase. Great NO PRESSURE experience. We will definitely return AND recommend Elaine and her store to others.

After taking some time to recover from the loss of my much loved partner in 2022 I decided to bring back the glamour to my life with new sofas. I knew what I wanted and set off, thanks to assistance from a young friend to search for my dream. After visiting several stores I found R and J Leather in Uddingston where I found my very own good fairy by the name of ELAINE who is a knowledgeable, charming young sales manager who is so helpful and displays superb customer care. She was not phased in any way by my specia reqests. Just a wonderful experience overall.

We went to visit R&J Leather's Uddingston Branch as we had saw their adverts on television, and we were interested in purchasing leather furniture. We were greeted by staff member 'Pauline'. She was polite, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all the different ranges in their showroom. She was able to answer all our questions regarding the company and their products and left us to browse, but was available to discuss all our requirements, and encouraged us to take our time and ask any questions we might have.
When we had made a decision on a leather sofa and two chairs from a varied and extensive display, Pauline explained everything to us. At no time did we feel rushed or pressured to make a purchase. Everything was explained to us in a relaxed, friendly but professional manner which made us confident that we were making the correct decision to purchase from this company. From the moment we entered the shop until we left we were extremely happy with the way that your employee dealt with us. She is a credit to your company! Such a refreshing change from other furniture shops we have been to where the 'hard sell' was so evident and so off- putting! We won't receive our furniture for a few weeks, so we will give a further review when it is delivered.

Visited the Uddingston store on 25/3 with my mum, who was looking for a new sofa. We were welcomed by Elaine who was very helpful and knowledgeable and ensured my mum was happy with her purchase at a good price.

My Husband and I recently visited the Uddingston showroom where there were lots of sofas and chairs on display….Brill !
A lovely lady called Elaine was very helpful. She could answer all our questions we asked and helped us purchase exactly the suite and footstool we were looking for. Elaine has excellent customer service.

Today we were in the Uddingston branch to look at suites and we came across the lovely Elaine . Such an incredibly knowledgeable and personable lady who took out so much time showing us different types of sofas / colours to make sure we got what we were looking for. At no point did she pressure us or try to increase our budget. She knew exactly what we had and worked with it to get us our dream sofa . Would 100% recommend r&j leather and I only hope this lady gets a bonus as she is a real asset to the company. Can’t wait until we get our new sofa . Lesley and Rosemary

recently visited uddingston store bought a suite from elaine she was very helpful and made it very easy for us to choose would recommened r and j leather and elaine especially to anybody very friendly and not at all pushy would buy off her again 5 stars all the way

Elaine at the Uddingston branch made our shopping experience lovely, she treated us like friends and not customers and wasnt pushy as in only wanting your money unlike a few stores. If we had a question it was easily answered and she was really good with our autistic grandson even if he did steal her juice. Would definitely recommend this store.

Ive had our suite for one year, and we had a small problem with the cusions, they came out no problem, took the suite away and returned it same day. The chaps were very pleasant and polite. Great service.

Fantastic service from walking into the shop. Warm welcome from Elaine, no sales pressure, made to feel at ease. Purchased sofa and recliner chair, process made easy and enjoyable by Elaine who is an absolute asset to the company. Knowledgable, professional, friendly and genuine person. Today our suite arrived. I visited R & J Leather in Uddingston today, with a view to making some enquiries. I am moving house and there are some complications due to work needing to be done following a burst pipe so I had no intention of ordering my suite today. I had previously had a first class experience with R & J Leather and wanted to order the same suite in a different colour, but due to the delay in moving into my new home, I thought it would all be too complicated to organise this early. Far from it. Gwen (a lovely person, who clearly treats customers as she would like to be treated) could not have been more helpful. As with my first purchase, there was no high pressure sales, just a quiet professionalism and honest advice about the practicalities. Long story cut short, I have now placed my order, confident that the Company will live up to the high standard of service which I experienced last time I ordered from them, in 2021.
