Honestly if I could give negative stars I would. I ordered a bed for my child and only recieved an order confirmation after paying an extra fee for express delivery. After two of waiting reached out to customer service got no correspondence back from customer service or customer support regarding the ordering. I rang them requesting an update and was told that they would ring back. They did not ring back and I proceeded to contact them again. After three weeks of contacting them they informed me that the bed I ordered was no longer in stock and no restock date had been assigned. They offered a different bed but wanted me to pay extra for the bed itself but proceeded to say they had to get management to agree to this change over. I recieved a call back and they said the could offer a 20% discount on the bed along with the fee already paid for the original bed. I requested to cancel the order but was then informed that any orders or refunds will take over 100 days to be reimbursed as they are under examination and all orders and refunds are put on hold. I have never had such an appalling encounter with a company before. They were no help whatsoever and when it came down to a refund I am unsure if I will even see it come back. If I could give anyone any bit of advice it would be to steer clear from this company as it is honestly the biggest scam. You will get no help and no money back.

Absolutely awful experience with Rathwood Furniture Store.

Paid extra for 72-hour dispatch and received zero communication—no confirmation, no updates, nothing. When I eventually had to chase them myself, I was told the item was already out of stock when I ordered it. How is that even allowed?

Customer service was shockingly rude and completely unhelpful. No apology, no accountability—just dismissive responses and a complete lack of care.

To top it all off, they couldn’t give any restock date, and when I asked for a refund, I was told it could take up to 100 days because they are “under examination.” That is beyond unacceptable.

Misleading, disorganised, and terrible to deal with. I would strongly warn anyone to avoid ordering from here.

What was once a respectable Irish Brand has plummeted into a shit show.
The level of incompetence from this company in recent months has been embarrassing.
So, Rathwood reported my review saying it was defamatory and inaccurate.
So I'll just paste the last message they sent me. You decide.

"Dear Ray, we're writing with an important update about your Rathwood order RW*****. Because of the Company's financial position, we regret that orders placed before 24th April 2026, including your order, cannot be fulfilled and are now cancelled. We are also not in a position to issue refunds, and we understand how frustrating that is.
You may be able to get your money back from your bank or card provider if you paid by debit or credit card. The link below explains how you might claim and the steps involved.
We're genuinely sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience this causes, and we thank you for the support you have shown Rathwood."

So I paid over €770 they will never ship my furniture and they won't give my money back. I had to use chargeback, which I did 3 months back, bank said no funds available that I need to wait and hope some day I might get some or all money back..
A funny thing happened when I ordered from Aosom Ireland, I paid for furniture and they delivered.... be more like Aosom, @Rathwood.
I will never look at rathwood again, and everyone I have spoken with has been warned to stay away.

Joke of a company and rightly getting hammered in the media.

I purchased something 60 days ago - and keep getting told it's on the way and now they wont issue a refund to me.

While I was very concerned regarding my order Wally helped me and reassured me by updating my order with another similar and available product. This was very reassuring indeed, well done Wally.

the worest company i have ever dealt with, since December order number RW8704 but not able to deliver, asked them to refund since February buy yet we are in March and no refund was made

Absolutely shocking company. Ordered a set of garden furniture IN STORE in March and was told it would be delivered in 5 - 7 days. Have not received any goods or any update on my order. Everytime I call I get the same 2 lines off the call centre agent that they are moving warehouse and are unable to dispatch. Absolute LIES. Terrible company. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE

Ordered Online. No product delivery received for 2 months. Cancelled the order, but no refund was received for another 1 months, and the company has gone to examinership. I totally think it's a scam at this point. It happened to so many people, with the same storyline, and now one of the victims is me.

Ordered 2 ride on toys as Christmas presents early December on a 10 day delivery. Received one before Christmas but the other one did not arrive until mid Jan. Customer service and information about the where abouts of the 2nd item was a joke. What they state on the website as delivery time is not what they actually deliver on. They just want to take your money. Quality of the toys was good though

Ordered a corner set in March 2024, build quality is good, seat cushions are comfortable. We had two deliveries and both arrived when said they would. I do know they have issues with supply chain now, I hope they get sorted and through this phase.

Lies, Lies & More Lies. Please just give me my refund that you promised months ago…

Rathwood failed to deliver my order. They then cancelled my order and said that I would get a refund " as soon as possible". That was more than 6 months ago and still I have not received a refund. Now they don't even bother to reply to my emails.
Their customer service is diabolical and they just take peoples money .... Avoid like the plague !

Please under no circumstance place any order with this store, online or in store. Been waiting 12 months for delivery, promised it was going to be in stock several times after lengthy calls. Requested refund in March, never received it. Bunch of fraudsters, still talking orders and customers money but no deliveries forthcoming. Do not deal with them at all.

You have been warned….. do not buy from this store , especially not online. I ordered and paid for a garden suit in March. After a missed delivery date the company has now gone into examinership and have halted customer refunds, yet they will be trading “as normal”. The online website is still taking orders.Don’t hold out much hope of getting my money back.

Awful company. Ordered wood online in September 2025. It never arrived. Contacted them a number of times for a cancellation. It was finally cancelled at the end of December 2025. I kept co tacting them from December to April 2026 concerning my refund. They kept promising a refund but it never happened. This company has now gone into examinership. What does that mean for the ordinary customer. We get nothing. They don't need to honour any customer refunds. On their web site they state they are a trusted company, be honest and take that down. You lost our trust.
