I started a chat about the product I was interested in. I received an immediate response and my questions were answered and than I was referred to a salesperson Michael Singleton who also responded promptly. Upon my arrival to the store I was greeted and met with Mike. He was the consummate professional pleasant and attentive. He answered my questions showed me the furniture I was interested in and several alternative pieces to compare. He left me while I did this which I appreciated. When he came back to check I gave him my selection. He than discussed delivery and added warranty. He walked me to checkout and even walked me to the door after my purchase and thanked me for coming in. I have to say it was one of my most pleasurable shopping experiences I have had. The showroom was beautiful with a great selection. I would highly recommend.

Salesman really knows your products. Was willing to turn furniture over to show us the quality craftsmanship of a couch. That's what convinced me that I was going to buy additional pieces.

My husband and I have always purchased our furniture from Raymour and Flannigan so we went expecting to have a great experience. Unfortunately what started out great ended horribly. We went to purchase furniture for our new home. We were planning to buy for our whole house one room at a time. However this day we did 3 rooms living room, dining room and one bedroom. The plan was to come back and do the other 3 bedrooms family room and kitchen. We put $1500 down and kept making payments 1000-2300 at a time. We had explained to the sales person that our home was being built so we would not be taking the furniture right away but would pay in full long before it wa time for delivery. All of a sudden we received a phone call from the sales rep saying that someone was interested in purchasing one of the nightstands from our bedroom set and since that particular set was being discontinued we either had to come that day to pick it up or someone else was going to buy the furniture. What?! You have our money yet you would sell it to someone else because they can take it out of the store that same day. Needless to say we were not happy with that policy and requested a refund of all of our money for all of the furniture we were purchasing. I spoke to a manager and explained what happened and was basically told that is how they run their business. Even if I purchase something as a lay away item and I am faithfully making large payments I still run the risk of losing my furniture to someone else. There is no guarantee that your furniture will still be here when you make your final payment. This tells me that the sales reps are money hungry vultures and they don’t care about the customers. It’s a cut throat business where it’s every man for themselves. Shame on Raymour and Flanigan for their horrible policies and way that they allow their employees to operate. We will no longer be giving them our business. They just lost one long time customer. Very disappointed in this outcome. If they weren’t so money hungry with greed customers wouldn’t have to lose out.

Lisa was incredible. She was laid back, patient, and knowledgeable. We went there focused on buying a couch and she showed us another one and we are so happy she suggested it. Delivered on time in less than a week… buying and accepting delivery was as easy as possible. 10/10

What made our experience great was our Furnishing Consultant, Michael Singleton, at the store at 2750 Fashion Center Blvd., in Newark DE. His warm welcome, and laid-back manner, made us feel at ease and not pressured to purchase. Because of that, we DID purchase a sofa and chair that was within our budget. Had we felt pressured, we would not have bought anything, as that turns us off. Michael had a good knowledge of what styles, fabrics, etc. were available, showed us the layout of the store, brought us a bottle of water, and then left us alone to wander and dream. We vacillated between two or three different styles and ended up getting the most expensive. There was a little problem with credit (I forgot I had frozen/locked all three credit bureaus), so we ended up paying half cash, and half on our own credit card Michael helped to arrange delivery and pick up of our old furniture. All in all, he made our experience great.
