Scam Beware
Total Scam. Don't waste your time. Banned me when I went to cash out.
They are probably going broke and hanging on by a thread.
Don't do it unless you like volunteer work.
As with the common theme across complaints
As with the common theme across crowd sourced reviews they suspended my account for abusing their terms & conditions. It’s a he said, she said situation but they accuse you of scanning receipts that are not yours BUT you can scan your spouses and underage children’s receipts in your household. To me their set up is an easy excuse to collect your data and not pay you out. They get you by paying you out the first 1-2 times and then flag and deactivate account. So all of a sudden I changed my scanning pattern and decided to upload receipts that are not mine after using the app for 2 years. OK, that makes sense.
RECEIPT PAL treats people like garbage
They treat peoplelike garbage. Help center ignores you. Could notverify my email through their worthless app even though I emailed them from my email account to show them it was me and my account. They ignored me and then for inactivity stole all my points and put me to a zero balance. App is beyond greedy and a scam. Some day all the stupid people will get the middle finger from them and find out the hard way.

I scanned more than 100 receipts, and got 0$ when I requested the rewards, they suspended my account. What a joke
Fraud, Deciet, Lies by Receipt Jar
Continues to collect data from linked accounts after the falsely accused of violating their terms. Requested evidence but have received a response. Filed a grievance with the FTC
SCAM!!!!
I just recently claimed $50 amazon gift voucher. I claimed it thru egiftpost.com which I think is their official scam gift card shop. After I got the code and try to redeem on amazon it says invalid code. I emailed receipt jar for this issue and got nothing from them, they didn’t resolve the issue. They got the $50 and sent me invalid code. Totally SCAM.
Scam to collect personal information
Cashed out $5 not a problem went to cash out $15 a few weeks later, all of a sudden I'm not using the proper background for my receipts, so my account was suspended and now they've ghosted me, in my opinion they are just stealing personal information
Miss me with this ****
Cashed out once last year for $50, and everything was fine. Cashed out last week for $50 and they shut down my account. Used to be great, but now I'd avoid it like a McDonald's ball pit.
Don't waste your time. Giving this app to thumbs down
Giving this app to thumbs down.
If you submit to many receipts, they will accuse you of not submitting accurate receipts, and will shut down your account. I'm a family of five with 3 pets, I have a lot of receipts. Additionally, it's difficult to get to the earning amount because they cap out and then they tell you to come back in 2 weeks. It does legitimately pay out, $5 here & there, however it takes a very long time to get there. Additionally, when you review their point system, it doesn't make any sense.
It's not an app I would waste my time on they're a better apps out there.
If I could leave no stars I would
If I could leave no stars I would. A year wasted. They won't pay you. Excuses😞 Check reddit and so many others saying the same thing.
Do not trust this app!! Huge waste of time.
I've been using this app for about ~3 years, they suddenly and without warning suspended my account, after redeeming $50 in points last week. Of course they kept the money too.. what a surprise. They wait till you cash out to ban you. The amount of time it takes to sit there and take pictures of receipts is time consuming and they just suspend you like it's nothing. I've been using Receipt Pal, Receipt Hog and Fetch Rewards without issue for 8-10 years. Apparently Receipt Jar has been doing this to a lot of its users. Don't waste your time with them. They're unethical.
Years of scanning wasted because I also…
Years of scanning wasted because I also did not review these reviews on here. Waited for $100 to cashout and boom no payout and account banned with a very generic lame excuse. Lesson learned!
Employees are scamming users?
I recently experienced what other users have been experiencing, I submitted a request for 2 $5 Amazon gift cards and got an email saying this:
Hi there,
As part of our standard review process for redemption requests, we took a closer look at your recent activity to ensure it aligns with our community guidelines.
What we found:
Bad Background - placed on a distracting surface
What this means:
Your latest redemption will be rejected, as most of the recent receipts submitted did not meet our requirements.
Which is totally bogus because you are not granted the coins if the receipts are not up to snuff, they ask you to upload them again.
I believe staff are stealing the points or gift cards.
This app is scam
This app is scam. Once you have points to redeem $50 they will deactivate your account. I would give negative star to this app
SCAMMERS
Don’t recommend this app. My account was suspended for “inactivity” right when I was earning points and couldn’t cash out. Feels like a way to avoid paying users. Support wasn’t helpful either.
I don’t recommend this app at all
I don’t recommend this app at all. They are likely to take your points and accuse you of being inactive or fraudulent and refuse to pay out.
Total scam
Total scam. I worked for 2 years to have enough points for a 100 dollar voucher for a food shop and they claimed I hadn’t entered an offline receipt recently so took all those points away and denied the voucher. What a waste of my uploading receipts this whole time. There are other apps out there that are better value. Not a fair system.
Receipt Jar deactivated at redemption for $50
I been using Receipt Jar for couple years now. I saved up points to try to get a $100 amazon card for 19K. I was at the 17k point range and decided to use 9500 pts to get $50 card. Since 9500 x2 =19K. No savings to wait. And would still only 1500 away balance to get another $50 card prob take me 4 more months time. They sent me email and deactivated my account stating - putting together multiple receipts to make one - stitched receipts, modified receipts. They are awful and wrongfully accused me. Don't recommend receipt jar to anyone.
What jerks!!! See below email.
