Can give zero stars please

Can give zero stars please. First off I paid on Hotwire.com for my stay in advance. Once I arrived they charged me again. Not a hold but an actual charge. The office staff were rude and unaccomondating. When I brought up the issue of dirty linens the response was we can give th to you but you have to remake the bed, excuse me I paid for a clean room. Secondly once the account was turned on the heater did too but no controller for it was obviously there. The rude desk clerk was well people usually put their fingers in and turn it off. When i checked out they eventually did refund one day of their double charge. The cleaning staff walked around with cigars in their mouths. The entire non smoking property stunk of this. The grounds were in disrepair. Corporate were non responsive to my initial complaints. If you want a comfortable and safe stay when in the Brandon/Tampa area Ican mor emphasize this enough DO NOT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD stay here this place should be condemned crumbling stairs a tub that may have seen a few kidney removals and am elevator scarier that Disney's tower of Terror. Oh and no signs or mention on the web page for this hotel from he'll of an elevator and the pictures you see are really deceptive

Red roof inn corporate doesn't care about ROACHES

Checked into a Red Roof Inn location in Richmond, VA on March 28, 2025 and checked back out the same evening. The room we were given was absolutely INFESTED with roaches. Front desk staff was rude and hostile, refusing to give me their name OR information to contact management. I was told I would receive a full refund, but have since noticed I was still charged. I contacted corporate, who acknowledged the roach infestation but stated they could do nothing and that the matter was "closed" on their end. AVOID this company at all costs!

The Positive Attitudes In the Effort To Go That Extra Mile

My reference is of the RR inn in Houston Texas, at 11999 East Fwry, 77029. I had the unfortunate occasion that my vehicle broke down in Houston, getting everything situated, repair appointments, towing, car rental, etc, was stressful to say the least, I finally settled in when I arrived at RR Inn at about 11:30 pm that evening. From check in to check out I've seldom felt such hospitality and positivity, My kudos to the Staff; from Mrs, Andrea to Mrs Jonnie to Mrs Teresa to Mrs Joyce. Please keep up the good work, weather you know it or not, you're making a difference in these bleak and dark times.

My Wife and i along with other friends, appear hopeless

My Wife and i along with some other friends, while on our way from Virginia, passing through Chambersburg PA, we got into an accident. Terrified, because our destination was Rockland County NY, and the Vehicle was proclaimed undrivable. Just imagine what was going through our minds. Where would we stay? Someone in the area directed us to the Red Roof Inn. We approached the Front Desk with pessimism, but to our surprise, we were warmly Greeted by Mr, JAY! We are late in sending in this Review, but out of appreciation and the hospitality shown to us, we feel obligated to make this known. Note! The Experience was on { 04/19/2022 }. We must say that Mr. JAY at the RED ROOf INN, located at { 1110 Sheller Avenue, Chambersburg, PA,} helped in Reducing our anxieties!
We say to Mr. JAY, thank you!

Sincerely,

RT.

Horrible Experience and won’t stay again.
Room dirty! Walls splashed with something…Yuck!
Sheets had stains
Huge hole in bathroom door
Homeless people hanging out in back of hotel
Shower curtain was ripped
No access to lobby! Had to go to the side entrance to check in through a window.
Won’t be staying at Red Roofs ever again

Hamilton Place Chattanooga location very rude!!!!!

I reserved room online for less than $50. Once I arrived at check in I was forced to put another deposit of $100 more than almost 2x what I reserved room for. Very rude person checked me in. I will no longer stay at any Red Roof Inn’s. This is At Hamilton Place in Chattanooga, TN. For the price there are better hotels near by.

Rude disgusting customer service

I have never received such rude customer service in my life. The woman working night shift in the office at the red roof inn in Duncan SC should never be allowed to interact with customers. I’m completely disgusted by her behavior.

Life changing Experience

I have worked and lived at a red roof inn for 4 years. It was a great experience. My husband and I remodeled a days inn and actually turned it into red roof then we slowly filled positions when people went on vacation or quit. Unfortunately due to a fire we are both are not employed there anymore just my husband part time. If love to work for another! Anyways, the owner was amazing and the experience has been something I'll never forget. They are like our second family.

I had used Red Roof Inns for 14 years

I had used Red Roof Inns for 14 years. I couldn't travel last year and when I went to book a room through my account for this year, I noticed that they deleted all my accumulated reward points. Apparently, if you don't stay with them every 14 months you lose all your reward points. This is buried in their website. The customer service rep who I called to ask about it took 10 minutes to find it on their website. That's all we needed to stop using them. Their hotels have just gotten worse and worse over the last few years anyway. It's like their management doesn't even care anymore. They are cheap. And dirty.

Not recommended

Hello I did a one night stay at Redroof hotel in Harrigburg. I was passing through going back home to Canada.
I saw on their site that the rating was 7.3 so I figured it was an okay place to stay.
Staff wasn't so courteous, they didn't seem to want to work.
The rate for the room was not correct and their outdoor sign was totally misleading, their sign showed $56.95 per night and the website rate was $74.95 and the employee stated that it was $77.95
The hotel to me needs a rude awakening as it looks like it hasn't been renovated in years. The room was terrible. It had an old dresser which was missing a drawer and one that didn't close. The decor was old and floors were sticky and not too clean. The bathroom toilet seat was totally wore out.
The door seemed like it had already been forced to open and in the morning, didn't dare to take a shower as there was a live cockroach in the bathtub.
If I was head office, I would be ashamed to rent this room to someone.
I would rate this hotel at under 5 and I am being generous.

Was fairly clean

Was fairly clean. However there's a few strange things going on there that looks like sex trafficking. The male employee there is strange and doesn't understand boundaries. Stalking women for any reason is never okay.

Everything was wrong !!!! Never Again !!!!

RED ROOF INN & SUITES PENSACOLA - NAS CORRY between October 29, 2024 at 8:48 PM and October 31, 2024 at 1:46 PM.

Everything was wrong here. Website says morning breakfast and shows picture of nice stocked bar. Doesn't exist at this RR Inn. I came at 6am and was told no breakfast, go down the street to Burger King !!!!! The swimming pool is condemned by the city, you can't use it. Ice machine in hallway has no ice all night long. Machine turned off after 6pm. Room was infested with cockroaches, they were waiting for you in the shower, on the bed to sleep with you, scurrying across the floor all night long, on your pillows waiting to crawl on your face. No roach traps or any kind of roach baits. Floors are dirty, my white socks will never be white on the bottoms again !!!! There are NO amenities like toothpaste or tooth brushes. Told to go down the street to Walmart to buy them. I was there 2 full nights and NEVER seen or heard a cleaning person, so didn't get any clean towels at all during my stay. AVOID THIS MOTEL - FILTHY DIRTY !!!!! Never ever been in a motel this bad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should get a refund but I doubt it would ever happen. I'm sure RR Corporate doesn't give a damn about the customers experience !!!!!

Can I give a negative-five stars?

No stars—but I had to choose one.

What went wrong...? Oh, Red Roof Inn (Duncan, SC), how can you fail so miserably?

Where do I begin?

Do I tell about the dead bugs in each and every corner, including in the bathroom? Or grime (no, not dust—grime) on the surfaces of—well, on every surface. Really. For example, the 1990s-something table lamps... their formidable bases may have had someone pay attention to them a few years ago, but that's just a rough guess. But, then again, I do see the benefit of dust and grime as a layer to protect the brass.

The floor—wow. Laminate flooring. Okay, I'll give them that. The caveat is that this flooring material needs consistent and thorough cleaning. Not sweeping. Proper, good old-fashioned cleaning. The condition of the floor was so bad that I went to the nearest store to buy a Swiffer-like mop and wet cleaning pads. As it turned out, I used up all ten of the pre-moistened cleaning pads in the package in order to clean the entire room, the vanity area and the bathroom. I have photos to prove how absolutely disgustingly cruddy (a fitting term) the wet cleaning pads were as I changed them out. I have figured out that the dark "wood-tone" color of the laminate perfectly disguises the same color that was picked up on the cleaning pads. Upon my showing them to one of the staff, the response was (paraphrasing here): "Well, if you stay in the room more than one night, the floors will look like that." Uhmmm...okay. This was the first day. That single response spoke volumes about the absence of qualified management, their hiring practices, and the shameful lack of training hospitality workers.

The photos I have taken of the neglectful condition of my hotel room, including the linen (did I mention mildew spots on the mattress cover?) will be submitted to other review sites, not because I think the owner/manager will remedy any of this, but because I believe the general public needs to be aware that anyone in poor health or with dustmite allergies potentially may be at a health risk if they choose to stay here.

Now, the question you've been asking: Why did I stay here? Simply because we were flooded out of our home due to Hurricane Helene and needed an immediate place to 'live'. FEMA generously provided us financial assistance, for which I feel grateful. Unfortunately, this Red Roof Inn was listed as one of the nearest hotels approved to accept FEMA's transitional housing vouchers, to which I now want to say:

Dear FEMA,
Please verify the hotels are safe and clean before listing them as being safe and clean. Maybe you can stay in one to be sure.

Thanks for reading.

Don’t stay here

I live at the red roof inn Lexington south location, and my experience here has been absolutely horrible. The rooms carpets are so caked in dirt that if you pour water on them and dry it with a towel that towel will turn black as if there is car oil in them. My shower curtain is barely hanging onto the wall, there are roaches that come out of the walls the minute the lights are turned out and yet on the weekends they are charging me 100 dollars a night!! I work close by and am waiting for an apartment to open up so I have no choice but to be here and they take complete advantage of that. I spend thousands a month here and they don’t appreciate a bit of it.
