Very poor service

Rent a Star Lisboa: Good car, but very poor service!

We had to wait 60 minutes for the shuttle (with an infant), and then another 45 minutes at the rental location — despite there being no other customers.
It was a very frustrating experience.

You also have to pay an extra €15 to €25 for cleaning the car, which is usually included in the price with other rental companies.

Very low prices, good service,nice and clean cars!

I have used Rent A Star for a couple of times. Mostly when I needed a big van for moving. The prices are lower than other rental cars. The staff are always helpful, and try all their best for you. They can also help you with finding good places to watch the Northern Lights, give you directions, or even help where you're lost! Best car rental in Tromsø/Tromsoe!!

Extra Charges Beware

If I could give 0 stars I would. I use rental company’s 5/6 times a year. I will never use this company again. They look good because they can be reasonably priced and cars are nice. They do this to reel you in for there hidden charges. €45 out of ours charge, double if you get stung dropping it back. There’s a €25 charge if it’s not been washed too when you return the car. Nobody waiting in arrivals, had to wait almost 40mins to be picked up and if I hadn’t gone out side too look he wouldn’t have come into the terminal. Got charged for toll device rental on pick up, then I was charged again for it as a charge to my card after I returned home. When I defended this by sending the receipt they have then failed to contact me again. I told them that a bad review was coming and I was told, go for it! Stay away from this company they shouldn’t be in business

You might have to wait.

Pick up complicated because both credit cards were declined. Not because of a bank error or overdrawn. Resulted in a very long process. The car was a fantastic C200 clean, sturdy and extremely comfortable. Return experience was again a bummer: unhelpful personnel + long wait for shuttle bus.

Horrible service

Horrible service, scam! My parents went to Portugal and reserved a car a Rent a Star. No one was there to pick them up, after calling and waiting for half a hour somebody showed op. They had to pay a 60 euro cleaning fee upfront even it was not in the agreement. After trying to pay the deposit of 1950 euro (which was availlable on their 5! creditcards) the payment terminal refused to accept the deposit. My parents ended up eventually with no car and had to take a taxi. After care from easy terra is even worse. No refund, no appology and no calling back (even when they promised that). Just a big scam, never go there!

I don’t recommend this company

I don’t recommend this company , they have very
Good cars and clean, but over all they are not Fair company they are the only ones charge £10 to clean the car , and They insurance to cover full deposit are very expensive, It’s almost doubled what do you pay for the rent.
And on the returning Is the second time it happened to me they always find something tiny bits like almost you can’t see to charge you extra they are a completely rip off .please avoid this company

Do not use this company!!

Do not use this company! They provided the wrong pick up location, we had to wait 30 mins for our driver and then they charged us another €45 for picking up the car after 8pm when they didnt indicate that we should pay this. The agent was rude, telling us he had been working for 12 hours so do we want the car or not. Awful customer service and experience!

Awful Company!!

Awful Company!!! Do not rent a car from them!!! I was with my family 2 young kids and 2 elders to pick up 2 cars. We waited 5 hours!!! Yes 5 hours to get 2 cars. We traveled from the USA so we were very tired. We just wanted to get the car and go on our journey. A week later, we returned the car and told us that a cap inside the rear truck was missing. We said, yes it was already missing. They actually use the word "LIER", yes, they treat us of liers! What would we do with a cap from inside the truck??? They made us pay $350.00 for it.
I have never been treated this way, customer service is ZERO and the owner is a bandit! I travel for a living and never ever been treated this way in my entire life. If I could put a 0 star I would.

RENT A SCAR
And then pay for it!

03.01.20 I rented a car. Right after the pick up when I was driving on the freeway, I saw a crack in the windshield. I therefore called the company twice.

No one answered the phone!

Next morning I send them an email explaining the situation and told em about the crack, which oblivious was there before I picked up the car.

No one answered the email!

08.01.20 I returned the car. I once again explained the situation and asked if they didn't get my email or saw my phonecalls.

They couldn't care less and charged me 950 euros for a premade crack.

THIS COMPANY IS A BOGUS!

Never use it!
