I specifically refer to Yeovil branch
I specifically refer to Yeovil branch. Without doubt they are the most friendly, helpful & reliable wholesalers i have dealt with. The staff at the yeovil branch dont hide from the customers and are always there to welcolme you when you walk in. The manager is always there and serves you if the others are busy. That goes a long way and builds a good business relationship. I recommend Rexel yeovil & Glastonbury as they are the 2 branches we use.
Great store and staff.
Called in to replace 2 under kitchen unit flourescant tubes.
Young staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. So nice when you come out with what you want and actually enjoyed dealing with them.
Thanks guys!
Very disappointed
Very disappointed. I am elderly and live in a retirement development. We have a Rexel extractor in our bathroom. I emailed their customer service department on 9th December simply to ask for instructions as to how to clean the fan as it is making odd sounds when turned on. Never had a reply. Such a simple thing but they couldn't be bothered. If it is replaced I will make sure not to buy another one of Rexel's products. Reading through the other reviews it doesn't surprise me at all that the majority are awful. They certainly need to learn more about customer care.
Rexel France
Rexel France. Really poor customer service from Rep. wrong deliveries, no deliveries, deliveries I haven’t ordered. What a mess and customer service is appalling. People in store are great but back office dreadful.
Great branch in Scunthorpe
I have used Rexel Scunthorpe for many years now, great branch, knowledgable staff, and will go above and beyond to help where they can even down to popping out personally if I’m stuck for a part, prices are competitive,
Utterly incompetent or just plain lazy?
Ordered urgently needed item last Friday 14th from Shrewsbury branch - pre-paid and told it would be in stock on Monday. Called to pick it up and was told they didn't sell that item I must have ordered it from elsewhere. Subsequently checked my account details and confirmed as above. They then said that they in fact had the item and agreed to deliver it but it did not arrive! Chased up and spoke to someone who said their was no record of my previous call. Agreed again to deliver and finally arrived on 21st having fortunately received a call from the delivery driver who couldn't locate us due to not being given the full correct address.
If the staff at this branch can't efficiently expedite such a very simple task then its future doesn't bode well.

I have just been into the Bromley store on Waldo road and I was greeted by a great guy that was friendly and knowledgable. Thank you and I will be returning.
One Star is too generous
My experience of Rexel is outlined below as I am getting zero progress from Rexel to resolve this outstanding issue.
I would not recommend Rexel my experience is they supply defective products that do not meet building regulation requirements and do not address complaints . In a recent commercial to residential conversion in Cheshire we procured all our electrical components from Rexel which included two 6” Newlec kitchen extraction fans in order to meeting building regulations in two separate houses. Building regulations require fans to extract 60 l/s from the kitchen.
The Rexel fans were specified by the manufacture as delivering an extraction rate of 68L/S
The fans themselves are mounted on an exterior wall in the kitchen, so lack of performance through excessive ducting is not a concern.
As part of building control sign off the performance of these fans required to be tested by a third party specialist company.
The results were has follows
House 1 — extraction rate 35L/S
House 2 —- extraction rate 31L/S
House 2 retest with replacement fan 38L/S
All failing to meet building regulations
The cost of a re testing and changing the fans cost me an additional £350.
LNPG have been supportive but have failed to put enough pressure on Rexel to address this long outstanding issue.
I am now involving trading standards.
Rexel and their experts have been a complete joke trying to avoid responsibility with all sorts of excuses. I am a chartered mechanical engineer and have the skills to technically reject their nonsense excuses.
The acid test is I have offered Rexel and their supplier to physically test the fans as installed something they have ignored presumably because they know I am right.
I know this is a long story but just wanted to advise members about the danger in buying certain products from Rexel.
We buy tens of thousands of pounds worth of electrical products a year and have now struck Rexel off our procurement list until they resolve this situation.
In our most recent project we have procured our electrical components from an internet based company called “The Electrical Counter” trading as ZLT Electrical which is much more competitive that Rexel in any event.
So wf Trafford park rebranded to rexel…
So wf Trafford park rebranded to rexel regent road Salford..sounds impressive..unfortunately not.
Rexel ,regent road ,Salford opened up its unit that size wise is equal to B&Q Trafford ctr., sounds great yes?, I'm afraid not..especially if you work in the electrical contracting industry
!
You find yourself queuing in miles of traffic to eventually arrive at the Mecca which is " rexel , regent road, Salford" only to find the smallest electrical item which is available in stock at any pound store or even a motorway service station- is NOT IN STOCK in rexel , regent road,Salford!!!..please note, this same response is in affect no matter what time of day/month/ year!!!
The reason for my review today is due to the lack of interest from the staff at rexel, regent road, Salford...numpteen times I've been told - not in stock, yet I know other suppliers like cable glands UK have that missing stock, a simple order number would suffice like WF TRAFFORD PARK would supply me.
Don't open a B&Q warehouse if you can't even satisfy a pick n mix stall customer!
P.s.thanks for the hours I've wasted visiting your regent road hellhole.
great help and look forward to…
great help and look forward to developing with them in 2024

Other electrical retailers need a lesson from Rexel.
After trying various suppliers for some downlights ( mine were outdated and failing) the guy at the Spalding branch knew exactly what I required. Devon Issac sold me 6 Collingwood H2 Lite down lights and I installed them today with no issues. I should have gone here first as Screwfix only referred me back to their website and another company next door to Rexel could not help either. Top marks to Rexel and to Devon Issac, I will certainly be going back to them for any other electrical items that I may need in the future. The price was also fantastic for each unit.
Even one star is too high for their…
Even one star is too high for their branch in Kentish Town, Absolute rubbish , firstly they only had one guy behind the counter serving, secondly when I finally got served, the guy did not even know what was BS1361 fuse was, The whole shop looked liked a warehouse rather than retail unit.
incompetent would be a compliment
incompetent would be a compliment. Every job we have used these guys for they have messed up.
Absolutely beyond useless.
Only times we have ever let a customer down is when we have used Rexel. I would rather pay double to another supplier than ever use these clowns again.
I have small order RCBO should be…
I have small order RCBO should be delivered in 3 days. There is more than thousands of that one in stock and still waiting for order to be processed. 1 week no order processing and delivery. No call to explain why. I have spoke to customer service from my branch and they just said it's coming from different branch, such poor explanation. Don't purchase online, get what is in store by your self. I need to explain to my customer why I'm waiting 1 week for 1 RCBO. I do not recommend online purchase.
Hopeless website .very poor customer…
Hopeless website .very poor customer services. Will not go with this brand again Not bothered once havd money .
worst wholesaler
Poor expreience missing orders, but the company listen to complaints
Made 3 orders in 3 days over the web. First order arrived next day, great 10 big 2.4mtr parts. Second order vanished from my web orders list. Third order still not arrived 30 days later. Called customer support nice polite lady but sadly she could not help.
Disasterous for a business depending on parts for client work. She told me to call my bank to see if the credit card transactions had gone through and get them to reverse if required - but the email reciepts from them said the orders were confirmed and inferred paid status. Bonkers. Avoid.
Update 14 March 2023 received an email saying the errant January orders have been cancelled due to lack of stock, and billing is usually completed at time of delivery so they haven't charged me. Brilliant.
All the complaints seem to have encouraged them to fix their software at long last!
Do not order online
I’m account customer and the Rexels webstore is rubbish. Ordered these spring clips and was informed of a long delivery time when ordering, so didn’t chase until receiving a request for a review on a item not yet delivered. Phoned my local wholesaler to find out what is going on, only to find the order had been cancelled by the warehouse, no communication to me informing me of the cancelled order. If this was the first time this has happened I could let it go, but it’s not the first time I have had problems ordering online. I have no faith in ordering online and will not be ordering online again.
