Used RG Law on recommendation from the estate agent when buying my leasehold flat. I spoke to them and several other firms before choosing RG. Unfortunately, after instructing, RG Law has the worst communication that I have experienced with a service provider. The only times I was able to get a timely reply without sending multiple emails and making many (unanswered) calls was through the conveyancing assistant who has since left. There was a point that I had to send 4 emails and make several calls before receiving a short answer to very simple questions. There were multiple issues regarding invoicing, errors with transaction details, missing key details and referring to my flat purchase under another case address and name. On completion day, my conveyancer was MIA for most of the day which made it so incredibly stressful when it didn’t need to be. Morally, I felt I had to make a formal complaint and I hope the actions they said they would be taking have actually been implemented. It has also taken me over a month to get any contact from the post-completion team (after 3 emails and at least 5 calls). I would not recommend this company at all.

I used RG Law for my third property purchase as my previous two experiences were positive, but unfortunately this transaction fell well below expectations. Key costs, including £5,400 in Stamp Duty, were only disclosed after exchange of contracts, leaving no opportunity to reconsider the purchase. Completion statements were repeatedly revised with missing or inconsistent information, resulting in several last minute payments. Important checks, such as a company winding up search, were only carried out on completion day, and key leasehold information such as service charges was not clearly reported until the final stages. Communication throughout the transaction was poor and I had to chase frequently for updates.

I raised a formal complaint five weeks ago but have still not received any resolution. Even more concerning, five weeks after completing on 30 January I still do not have the keys to the property, as there appears to have been a failure in due diligence to establish who actually held them for this repossessed property. Overall the experience has been extremely stressful and far below the standard I expected.

Our applications to the Court of Protection were complex and demanding with numerous "curve balls" received from various parties. However, thanks to the hard work and commitment of the staff of RG Law York, the challenges were resolved and the Court of Protection issued the requested court orders.

Despite several attempts to contact your office by telephone, email, and through your formal complaints procedure, we have yet to receive any response. We are still awaiting the deeds to our property, and it has now been over a year since this matter was first raised. The continued lack of communication and delay is deeply concerning. We would appreciate it if a representative could contact us as a matter of urgency to resolve this issue.

We used RG Law when we moved around years ago, so decided to use them again on our recent (and hopefully final) move. They were very efficient and communicated clearly throughout the process. Our contact, Laura Wiseman was excellent, and really helped to get our move over the line, despite our purchasers conveyancers poor communication and ability to work to agreed timeliness.

We have just used RG Law to both sell our old house and purchase our new one. Moving house is a stressful time, especially when you are moving 130 miles away like we just have. However Bethany and her team took that stress away completely. Her communication was second to none, all email enquiries were answered promptly and most importantly with the answers to our questions. She worked tirelessly during the last few days to get the process completed (exchange and completion) to our timescale, even with the tricky buyers that we had. Even changing her days around so that she was able to keep us up-to-date date via the phone on moving day.
