Icon Expeditions (and Lukimbi Lodge)
We were very pleased with the booking services and advices provided by Allison Bothma. Allison found a perfect match to complement our stay in South Africa. The lodge was Lukimbi Lodge (very close to the public Kruger NP.) We were able to do game drives in their Private Concession but also partly in Kruger where good sightings were reported in Kruger during our afternoon drives (when the self drive vehicles have gone). Very pleasurable stay at the lodge: room amenities, game drives, walks and also the food served in all our meals. Highly recommend both Icon Expeditions and Lukimbi Lodge.

As soon as we made an inquiry we were answered immediately and even received a call to us in Australia. Our consultant Danielle was amazing. She listened to us and planned our itinerary around what we wished to see and do. All the paperwork sent to us was thorough and easy to follow. From the moment we were picked up from our first flight, to our last drop off, and there were several, everything went perfectly. We HIGHLY Recommend Rhino Africa
Daniela at Rhino Africa did all our travel planning for our trip to South Africa. Rhino Africa came highly recommended by family members. My friends and I must have emailed Daniela 100 times in the planning months, and she always answered our questions promptly and amiably. We started out in Cape Town. We had no idea what to expect from this city, and we enjoyed every minute of it. Daniela booked our hotel, and it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at – beautiful rooms and a gorgeous view of Table Mountain. And the staff was so friendly: They taught us the word “ubuntu,” and they epitomized it. After three nights, we changed hotels to experience a different part of Cape Town and meet up with friends. When the hotel accidentally gave us the wrong room, Daniela stepped in and got us even nicer accommodations than we had booked. Daniela also secured our guide, “Viwe,” who took us up Table Mountain, drove us down to the Cape of Good Hope, and took us to several other sights. Viwe was informative and a pleasure to spend time with, an excellent guide. We then flew to Kruger Park for our safari. Daniela handled all of our intra-Africa flights, and they went smoothly. The safari part of the trip was absolutely amazing. Our hotel was exquisite and we loved our safari guide. We saw all of the Big Five within our first two days. Lastly, we flew to Victoria Falls, which was magnificent. Again, our guide there was terrific, and our hotel on the Zambezi River was incredible—a perfect end to our South African vacation.
We highly recommend Rhino Africa to coordinate anyone’s African adventure. They made our experience a beautiful and memorable one.

Sylvan Safari Sabi Sands
We just got back from 6 delightful days at Sylvan.
The lodge was stunning and blended beautifully into the surrounds. I must admit I was a little sceptical about its modernity before we arrived, but that was immediately dispelled when we saw the lodge.
The rooms were unbelievably large, comfortable, and beautifully designed and decorated. We especially appreciated the log fire, which was needed on a couple of nights.
The staff were outstanding. The camp manager Licia was very friendly and welcoming and made us feel completely at home. While all staff were friendly and helpful, we want to give a special call out for our butler, Shepherd, who anticipated our every need.
We appreciated the modern safari vehicles and all the thought that had been put into their design - e.g. the borders around the storage box in the middle – which prevents cameras from sliding off, and the lined ponchos. Keeping numbers of guests per vehicle to 4 was great and we felt sorry for some of the other vehicles we passed with people practically hanging off the mudguards. The biggest surprise, however, was the heated seats in the vehicles which were brilliant, especially on the cooler morning drives.
Our drive team were also outstanding. Our ranger, Tendai, was among the very best we have experienced. He was very informative and responsive to our interests.
The game viewing was good, although a little restricted by the (cold and wet) weather we experienced and the boundaries that cannot be traversed. We nonetheless were pleasantly surprised by how much game we saw.
We give Sylvan ten out of ten and will be very happy to recommend to friends.

A Truly Unforgettable Experience – 100% Recommended!
We recently completed a 14-day trip through Rwanda and Tanzania, including gorilla trekking in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, a safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and to finish, a few days in Zanzibar, with Rhino Africa as our travel agency—and we cannot recommend them highly enough.
From start to finish, the experience was flawless. Over 14 full days, we took 8 flights, stayed in 6 different accommodations, had 3 different guides, and spent countless hours on the road—and not a single thing went wrong.
We were confident our trip would be seamless—firstly, because Rhino Africa’s reviews are exceptional, and secondly, because the support we received while booking was beyond superb. Claudia, our assigned sales consultant, was fantastic. Every question was answered promptly and thoroughly, and nothing was ever left unresolved. Knowing about my dietary and water needs, she made sure that all accommodations, drivers, and guides were informed to ensure I had the best possible experience.
All the accommodations were perfect for our needs—comfortable, well-located, and thoughtfully chosen. And the guides… where do we even start? Innocent, Augustin, and Kevin were incredible. Knowledgeable, patient, and always kind, they made every moment enjoyable and ensured that no question went unanswered.
This was only the second time we have booked a trip through a travel agency, and the first experience wasn’t great. Rhino Africa, however, completely changed our perspective. Although the trip was physically demanding, our minds were at ease the entire time. Every detail was taken care of, and we could focus entirely on enjoying the adventure—completely carefree.
If you ever have the chance to embark on an experience like this, do not hesitate.
It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime journey, and having Rhino Africa handle the logistics made it an absolute dream.
To sum it up: this trip exceeded every expectation we had. We would give them 100 stars if we could.
