Salesman was impatient and it seemed he wanted us to decide pay and go, shop was quiet so he was not exactly busy. I was undecided as to exactly what I wanted and his answers were somewhat brief and not very forthcoming.

I actually learned a lot just from talking with Nick in the store. No selling, just a run through of options and taking time to understand my requirements. The sort of service that turns you into a repeat customer. Great to talk to a real person, in person, rather than a web site chatbot. I'm very happy with the product that I chose.

Polite helpful and professional

Purchasing my Technics music system was very easy and hassle free, the system was easy to connect and the sound is fabulous for an all in one system...
Delivery was more problematic as it was due on the Friday and I was given an hour time slot, but the system didn't arrive
I checked again and it stated the delivery person was running behind and they would deliver soon, but unfortunately they didn't turn up
So I didn't get the system until the Monday afternoon, luckily I was able to leave work earlier to get back in time for the delivery, but apart from that I'm very happy with the music system....

As has happened a couple of times at Richer Sounds, I just went in for a small preamp, and came out with the preamp, new connectors, 6m of speaker cable, banana plugs and a pair of floorstanding speakers!
They even helped carry my purchases out to the car.
The guys at Richer Sounds are knowledgeable, helpful and most importantly, approachable.
I'm no hi fi expert, but you can trust the staff to guide you towards the best bang for your buck.

Visited the Exeter branch to listen to the Rel t5x subwoofer.
Mark set up the listening room changing the amp to allow me to stream my music to listen to.
He left me alone to listen and put the product through it's paces.
All staff were very knowledgeable and helpful.
I am not a base head and just wanted to extend the lower range but it can really thump out ground shaking base if required.
I bought the Rel t5x subwoofer and I have no regrets and I am thoroughly enjoying them.

A very easy experience purchasing on-line and very easy collecting from local store (Exeter) who were very helpful

I came in with someone I support who is neurodivergent and we were greeted by Mark at the Exeter branch. He went above and beyond to make his experience person centred and welcoming. Giving him the use of the experience room to try out many headphones which resulted in him buying the perfect pair to suit his needs. It was the easiest and happiest purchase of a big ticket item I've ever made. I wanted to support a local company rather than a chain and I've always used Richer Sounds, previously in the south-east and now in Exeter. During my telephone call my previous purchase was quickly found and a new TV recommended compatible with my existing equipment. The payment system was easy and secure and my TV arrived at the predicted time the next day although it was a Saturday and I was able to install it and watch that day. Wonderful!

Ordered speakers set online. Collect in-store real quick. Everything feels good.

Organised, welcoming & knowledgeable. My requested set up was ready on arrival & I was given time (& tea 😎) so that I could play with it on my own in the demo room.

From the moment we walked in the door we were treated with curtesy and a very good understanding of our needs. Lloyd was very knowledgeable and helpful.

I rang the Exeter branch on bank holiday Monday to ask advice regarding a couple of items. It is lovely to actually speak to a real person who answers the phone and is knowledgeable about products. I ended up ordering, and Peter advised delivery could be up to 5 days. My order arrived the following day. It's always a pleasure buying from Richer sounds as it's easy and fuss free.

Having just received a record deck as a present from my children it was soon patently obvious that neither my speakers nor headphones were going to connect and I was left with only the sound generated by the deck.
Off to Richer Sounds who not only have free parking but give you the very best advice you can get.
Today after about a fortnight of worry I now have music to my ears and connected exterior speakers. The accessories to make this happen didn’t come cheap but it was well worth it for knowledge these guys have and a big thankyou to Nick that I am now listening to an LP without my wife shouting up the stairs “turn that bleep bleep racket down”
