Richer Sounds - Nottingham Reviews 

I have to say that great retail customer service is rare these days and in a ever increasing online only presence it is great to see real stores where you can see, hear and compare products. My experience both on the phone to the Customer Service team and in store at Nottingham was excellent, the whole team were friendly, knowledgeable and focused on helping me resolve my problem. To the team I say thank you for resolving my problem quickly and professionaly and to Julian Richer, the founder, I say "you have created a team of people and a customer experience to be truly proud of"!

The TV I purchased from the website had plenty of information about it, which made it easy to decide about buying it.

Called into the Nottingham shop for advise on a soundbar. Advised by Ben as to the correct one and given clear recommendation. Agreed to buy and item delivered three days later. Installed easily and dramatic benefit of hearing muffled voices on TV without increasing the volume thus enhancing the experience.

In December 2025 ,Rob the senior sales advisor demonstrated a Taga Harmony HTR 1000 hi fi system which I was so impressed with that I bought one. By the time March 2026 arrived it had developed three different faults. I contacted the shop on Sunday 29 March and spoke to Ian who talked me through how to complete a repair form. I received an automated thank you reply and on Monday 30 March I received another email from Gary in the service department acknowledging the fault. On the same day I received a call from Rob apologising for the issues and advised that rather than a repair, the unit would be replaced. On Tuesday 31 the unit failed completely which just added insult to injury, however during this time I had constant updates from DPD advising of a day/date for a delivery of the replacement unit. On Wednesday 1 April the new unit arrived well within the allocated time frame. How can you fault a service such as this - absolutely first class :)

Very happy with my purchase. The Denon amp and wharfedale speakers complement each other, and sound great. The price was extremely competitive, and delivery time was less than estimated. Overall cannot fault Richer sounds. Best service bar none.

Purchased a Samsung TV which was on sale at a competitive price (£250 less than John Lewis). Very good service from Dave in the Nottingham branch. Painless experience! Thank you

Excellent service from Richer Sounds Nottingham. Ian was incredibly helpful over the phone, advising on the best option and making the whole process quick and easy.
There was a delivery delay outside the store’s control, but he handled it with professionalism and kept things stress-free throughout.
Collected a couple of days later and very happy with the product. Great experience all round—highly recommend.

My order for the Manhattan Aero was ordered on the 3/3/26 it was out of stock, delivery was estimated for 6/4/26

Arrived for store pick up in double quick time, no wait in the shop and could park for free outside. Easy to set up and sounds great to me. Never go anywhere else for HIFI / AV.

As always the experience with my purchase of my Onkyo cd players was a pleasent experience.
Wanted to collect so called Nottingham shop to check stock. No stock but should be delivered tomorrow. Sure enough phone call the next day to tell me my item had arrived around 10am and I collected around 11am. Pleasently surprised to be told there was parking behind the store.

I had a puzzle trying to connect headphones to the amp through Bluetooth. Brian and Dave at Nottingham gave me advice and spent time with me trying to resolve the puzzle.

I am more than pleased with Richer sounds with the purchase of a manhatten aero TV streaming device. These item were sold out, but I was able to pre-order with Richer sounds at my local branch. They were honest with the estimation of delivery and the item was not espected until possibly April. However it was delivered on the 28th March a great surprise as this was before it came into stock with any other supplier.
The Aero itself is a great item it gives reliable streamed TV with Freely and pleanty of others apps, all in one place with a good and easy to use guide interface. The Aero was quick and easy to set up. It gives access to all of this over the internet so is perfect for places that cannot have an aerial or dish. It works over both WiFi or network so is very flexible for rooms in the house with no aerial cable to run etc. A great solution that fills a very common need for many people. I am sure it will become a very good seller.
