I have dealt with Richer Sounds for a few years now, The quality of service and Knowledge of their products is second to none. I am very confident that you won't get a better deal anywhere else.

Fantastic customer service from Preston branch

It was my first experience using Richer Sounds, and unfortunately it will also be my last.
This is particularly disappointing because Matt at the Preston branch was extremely helpful throughout the process. He did his best to secure a competitive price, responded promptly to all my queries, and provided excellent customer service.
However, after spending just under £2,000 on hi-fi equipment, I was very disappointed with the way the order was delivered. The items arrived in their original manufacturer packaging, with no additional outer packaging or protective materials whatsoever. The products were not consolidated into a single protected shipment, leaving them vulnerable to damage during transit.
I was also concerned about the lack of privacy, as anyone handling or seeing the delivery could clearly identify exactly what I had purchased.
I contacted James at the Preston branch regarding these concerns. He explained that the products are shipped from the warehouse and that this is the standard way they are delivered to Richer Sounds stores. However, in my experience, whenever I have ordered fragile electronic equipment online, it has always been packaged with adequate protection to prevent damage in transit.
James also advised that he would escalate my concerns and flag my email for further attention. That email was sent on 26/05/2026, and to date I have received no response.
While I appreciate the excellent service provided by the Preston branch staff, the poor packaging, lack of privacy, and absence of any follow-up regarding my complaint have left me extremely disappointed with the overall experience.

THE SERVICE WAS A1 AS USUAL. ORDERING WAS STRAIGHT FORWARD ON THE PHONE AND DELIVERY WAS ON TIME.

The service in this store is second to none. The staff are very friendly & knowledgeable. I bought new bookshelf speakers & the advice I received was very helpful with no pushy salesmanship.
I have used this store several times in recent years. Highly recommend. Prices very competitive & I will certainly revisit for my next purchase.

I spoke to someone at the Preston office, I think he was called Matt. I told him what I was after and we had a video call so he could see the space where the TV was going. After asking all the right questions, he recommended a product to me and it arrived the next day. He was polite, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I’m very happy with my new TV and will use Richer Sounds from now on, as they provide a 6 year guarantee.

Harrison and his colleague were extremely helpful with information about two models we were looking at, which helped us decide on which one to buy.

As per usual, the staff in Preston we're knowledgable and sold me what was the best tv for my needs.
I went to buy the LG G5 but left with the LG C5 as it was more suitable for what i needed and saved me over £800.

Great service. The manager came out to give us advice on the surround sound system and provided different options to suit our budget. Also recommended an all in on one soundbar that was in the clearance for another room, and it is great too. Staff and service were excellent overall, and the cinema system was delivered on time. It's now set up and is working really well. A huge improvement on what was there before.
