I use to but from them but not any more
The ingredients are poor and products they sell too expensive for what you get.
Companies need to wake up and quickly. Reputation is everting. Good marketing is not enough. Artificial intelligence now tells us if products are quality. This is a wake up call to companies. Get with the times. The old ways of trying to convince us your products are of good quality are declining. We can rely on apps now. As a techy, that’s what I do
Ensh*ttification in full effect
I used to like Rituals. I've bought a few of their bath products and scents. But I guess something shifted in the last few years. Perhaps big investor bucks started coming in? Maybe it's some new corporate direction to "optimize" everything. Well, wherever this stems from, the changes are in full effect.
1) The new refill cups don't fit the original container, defeating the whole purpose of refills.
2) Customer service is AI-powered with the most inauthentic, faux spiritual script.
3) They absolutely flood your inbox with the most inane emails.
Essentially, here is another company that has devolved into a mass producing, revenue-worshipping, husk of a brand.
Incredible Help from Ian at Rituals
My Perfume Genie suddenly stopped connecting to my WiFi, so I reached out to Rituals’ customer support and I have to give the biggest shoutout to Ian. From the moment he replied on WhatsApp, he completely transformed what could have been a stressful situation into an absolute breeze.
Ian arranged a replacement within just one day of me reporting the issue, but it wasn’t just the speed, it was him. He was friendly, warm, funny, and genuinely invested in helping me. His energy and attitude made the whole experience feel personalised and effortless, and it honestly felt like speaking to someone who cared rather than a typical support agent.
Out of every customer support interaction I’ve ever had with any company, Ian is hands-down the best. A true 10/10. If Rituals ever wants to train other brands on how to treat their customers, they should send them straight to Ian.
I’ve always loved Rituals for their products, but people like Ian are the reason I’m loyal to the brand. Absolutely exceptional.
First of all I absolutely love rituals…
First of all I absolutely love rituals products and i would spend ridiculous amounts of money in there atleast once a month.. I was in the tallaght branch yesterday, I walked in and saw small diffusers on display at the front door, small bottle with reeds attached, couldnt see any in boxes so thought that the ones on display were the selling product, anyway walked around the shop got a load more bits and pieces, then a very stern voice from behind me said are you buying that, referring to the small diffuser I had in my basket, and I said yes, she snatched it from my basket and proceeded to tell me that one wasn't for sale and got one in a box from the stock room, stormed out and said loudly, ill leave it at the till for you.. so that kinda missed me off so I went up to checkout and another really nice girl was at the checkout, then this stern blond eastern European one says ill take her.. so at this stage i was going to walk out and leave everything behind, so she took for my things, and said ive emailed ur receipt and I said ill have a paper one please, she stuffed the receipt in the bag and stormed off.. seriously guys you need to do better with this staff member as shes bringing down the vibe you guys have.. theor is no excuse for redness to paying customers!!!!
Fantastic customer service …
Rituals offers fantastic customer service and amazing products. They go above and beyond in every way, making every experience feel special. I especially love their WhatsApp service — it’s exceptional and incredibly easy to use. Highly recommended!
Fantastic product descriptions
The fantastic product descriptions made shopping online an ease.
You should be ashamed
I was turned 80 this year and I received 2 very nice gift boxes of ritual products ( my birthday was in July 2025 ) I have now noticed that the ritual renewing body scrub in both very expensive boxes has an expiry date 08-2025 I’m sure the people who bought theses VERY expensive gifts didn’t realise that Sakura was putting stale items in their boxes
Mind Oasis is amazing
Yesterday, I attended the new Rituals Mind Oasis store on Oxford Atreet London. I decided to try the Hydro Massage. Wow. I laid down on the water bed, was given a lovely blanket and was given a control panel to select my level of music, red light intensity and massage intensity. I chose the most intense massage and it felt insanely good. I have complex medical problems and it felt as though it was gradually kneading pain away. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. The shop is lively upstairs and there is an air of excitement. However, when you get downstairs, the ambience changes and is much calmer. This was the best £28 I have ever invested in myself. I will be back for more.
I WAS a huge fan of Rituals having 2 Genies
I was a huge fan of Rituals having 2 Genies and a regular purchaser of the cartridges and other Rituals products as presents for friends. However on ordering my 3rd Genie (really was a fan) on 10.11.25 the product still hasn't been delivered; they say it's because my address is incomplete... they didn't get in touch and like I said I am a regular customer so clearly they've delivered to me before. Rituals have confirmed they have the product but will not give me a refund for another 14 days... they take it on accepting my order so why when I haven't even seen my deliver do I need to wait until 6th December for my £163.90 refund... hardly fair or appropriate is it? Dealing with customer service has taken me 5 days, I kept having to repeat messages & details etc
No upon reading reviews I see they have a terrible problem with customer service... Rituals wake up - this isn't good business is it?
XL sakura gift set and L velvet oudh
My XL sakura gift set and L velvet oudh came damaged as the black insert was broken, however I contacted Rituals straight away and within minutes I had confirmation that replacements are on their way. The customer service was 10/10 cannot fault them. Would buy again but maybe from a store as do not want to go through the hassle again with broken items during shipment.
Car air freshener - No smell for too much ££
The worst car fragrance for the very high price.
Avoid - as it doesn’t give any smell at all. You have to blow your vents to the highest speed to get a glimpse of a smell which doesn’t last at all.
Also room fragrances - very overpriced and very short lasting.
Highly disappointing.
Nevertheless - whoever does branding and marketing for them - is a genius ;-))
Received my ‘FREE’ birthday gift…
Received my ‘FREE’ birthday gift voucher via email for a free hand wash (had to purchase something else). Tried to use in Belfast Forestside store and they had none - no alternative offered.
Tried to order online - none in stock.
Made a special trip to Victoria Square Store. Was told they had the hand washes in stock - went to till to process and they produced a shower gel at one point?!
Eventually clarified it was a hand wash- saw my voucher, scanned it but then they said there has been issues with the system for 3 days.
I was told to phone customer service! (Yes me - not them). Fruitless phone conversation- they couldn’t find my account and said to phone back as the system wasn’t working!!!
Back in to shop to explain - they said they couldn’t do anything! Explained the shop wasn’t near my home - no help, no alternatives - lost sale (I had other items).
So poor.
Amazing Customer Service!!
I ordered a gift from Rituals online, really fast delivery within a couple days of placing the order.
An item I received was damaged (very very minor damage) and as it was a gift I contacted the customer service team via WhatsApp.
The chatbot was very easy to use (some can send you round in circles) and I was quickly put through to Erica who was an absolute dream!!
She immediately sent me a new item, was kind and helpful.
The car air freshener smells great and looks stylish. I have never bought from Rituals before but after this experience, I will definitely be using them again!!
The men's face cream …
I bought the men's face cream in the large hand grenade size, push down dispenser. It ran out after a very short period of use. I was so surprised due to the overall size, so I opened the product using tools, it was 70% empty outer plastic container, with a small container inside containing the cream. Hardly an environment friendly package, as they like to claim. And absolutely not value for money. I see them now in a new light, all packaging and atmosphere, with very little of what actually counts.
Missing items - issue resolved immediately
I made an order and it was missing some items. I contacted the company by WhatsApp and it was immediately confirmed that the missing items would be re-sent and I received them the next day.
Terrible customer service!
I really enjoy the product. I ordered additional product prior to import rule changes. It’s now been two months. I’ve contacted customer service many times. It’s always please wait for the shipment, or we will refund your money. I asked for a refund. I’m still waiting two months later!
Really disappointing service from a…
Really disappointing service from a company that I’d expect more from. I’m a regular Rituals customer - I love their products- but they really need to do something about their incredibly poor customer service team. I called them earlier to try and track down an order costing more than £100. Yodel said they tried to deliver it last Friday, but got no reply. I rearranged delivery for Monday this week. The parcel didn’t arrive and Yodel’s tracking simply says ‘in depot’ and will be loaded onto the next delivery (I’d have thought there would have been a yodel delivery in my area since Monday!). So I rang Rituals hoping they’d be able to help. The agent showed complete disinterest. She told me my parcel was at the depot- I knew that-; then she said contact Yodel (I said I’d tried to no avail and my order is with Rituals. Yodel is their agent). Then she told me to wait a few more days- even though my order of over £100 should have been here on Monday. I felt she was just trying to fob me off. Not the kind of service I’d expect from Rituals. The staff in their shops are great! Maybe the lesson is not to order online?
Quick delivery, beautiful products
I had a £100 gift voucher to spend via All4One and fancied treating myself to some goodies from Rituals. I've never bought anything from there before as it's quite pricy, but nice for a treat. The website wasn't the easiest to navigate, but I found what I was looking for in the end - two medium gift boxes, two hand creams and two free gifts, which was a bonus. The items arrived the next day well wrapped, and I was surprised by the generous size of the products received - they will last me ages. They smell divine and I look forward to using them.
This company was recommended to me
This company was recommended to me , so I went and made a purchase, really all the staff hasn’t a clue, I realise it it a new store , and would have teething problems, but my overall experience was terrible, miss informed, upon making my very first purchase at the store, the lady at till said I was entitled to a free gift, I purchased two items worth £66 , then she said oh.. you will have to buy something else, because it’s your 2nd purchase you get a free gift… if I had know that I would have paid separately. Went online to business chat.. they offered 10% off next purchase, which I refused, as it a discount I wanted, I wanted my free gift, TBH they were not very helpful, needless to say I won’t be back to any of there stores. Basically gave false information at POS.
