I want to be direct about how…

I want to be direct about how frustrating the current state of Roadie support has become. I have personally spent **8+ hours sitting in the support chat queue** waiting for assistance. That is simply unacceptable, particularly for a platform where timely support can directly affect a driver's ability to complete deliveries and earn income.

What makes this more frustrating is that many of these issues have already been brought to Support's attention, yet they continue to exist without any apparent resolution.

A few examples:

Photo uploads in chat: I am unable to reliably upload photos through Roadie's chat using a Samsung Galaxy A17. This has been an issue despite being communicated to Support.
Barcode scanning: Barcodes frequently require multiple attempts before they are properly recognized or captured, creating unnecessary delays during pickups and deliveries.
THREE HOUR HOLD TIME ON PAY:
I am not on Roadie because I enjoy delivering things, I am there because I need the money, the 3 hour hold time has left me sitting in parking lots, behind on bills and so on. It's ridiculous, despite someone reporting a issue with a delivery. It is not going to be reviewed until the coming days. The hold time does not help swaying fraudulent activity but more just hinders drivers relying on the money.
This is a readers digest of how I and many other drivers feel.
Thanks

In my experience

In my experience, Roadie pays too little for the distance drivers have to travel. Even when the delivery time seems reasonable, the pay is too low once I account for gas, vehicle wear and tear, and depreciation. I feel that Uber Eats pays much better.

Roadie should pay more for deliveries in difficult areas such as Downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood. Long-distance deliveries also deserve higher pay, especially with rising gas prices and inflation. The minimum pay should start at $150, with additional pay based on distance, package weight, the number of deliveries, and how difficult the delivery area is.

Customer service is ok it’s actually…

Customer service is ok it’s actually improving better than before but app glitches a lot almost every day I have to go all the glitches and it takes forever to fix the issues. There is no proper return system that go through smoothly without any issues. App map is so confusing and bad that you have to turn on the Apple or Google Maps. There is no automatic codes of the doors if customers aren’t available then you have to either wait for someone to open the door or wait for the roadies customer service and apply for return but like I said earlier return process is bad that one gig took 3 days to fix it and I couldn’t work for all these days because the gig was showing on my side that it didn’t complete and I returned everything with multiple pictures proof.

Almost great.

The work is good and the payment is decent, but I ran into a little issue recently where the app wouldn't let me complete the pickup saying that there was a connection error when my internet connection was perfectly fine.
Other than that, it's all good.

The pay hasn’t matched the seriousness…

The pay hasn’t matched the seriousness of the routes, but the app has been consistent. I have to give 2 stars because on multi stop orders like mail innovations (which I specialize) the pay shouldn’t be 3.50 a stop. Proper pay would be 5.95 to 7.50 per stop. Tho I love the app I gotta get my point across
