When an advisory indicated a very slight dragging of the front nearside brake pads, I put my KZN 185 up on stands and had a look. Investigation indicated the best option was to replace caliper, pads and disc; and obviously this meant both sides at the front. To this end I went on the Rough Trax 4x4 website and ordered the parts, plus a few spare bleed nipples to keep on the parts shelf.

Within a very short time I was advised of a stock shortage: the major parts I needed were on back order, the delay estimated as a few days waiting for stock to arrive. No problem to me as I have other vehicles to use in the meantime. What is commendable is the wonderful customer service I received from Jamie (yes Jamie, you get a mention in dispatches) keeping me informed of progress and apologizing for the delay; I think we exchanged about a dozen emails in the end, and I duly received my order the following week.

What is important here IS the wonderful customer service and attention to treating the customer as an individual: this is the mark of a good company, and a company that values and wishes to supply its customers with what they need; and maintains communication with the customer when problems with supply occur.

I have reviewed Rough Trax 4x4 on a number of times over the years; and I remain fully committed to praising this company for their performance and reliability, their desire to help and ensure their customers' needs are met is outstanding.

I recently had my Toyota Hilux serviced at a main dealer. They informed me that my brake pads were close to maximum wear and would need replacing soon. They said they could carry out the works for £500!
I decided to carry out the works myself and started looking online for genuine Toyota parts.
Luckily I came across RoughTrax4x4 who had my parts for less than £80.00.
I ordered them last weekend and fitted them myself this morning.
A saving of £420!
