Ryanair offer cheap flights then add…
Ryanair offer cheap flights then add extra charges on. Even although there are seats left together they deliberately put myself and my son at totally opposite ends of the plane so that we had to pay extra to be together. I paid for priority boarding a 10kg cabin bag each and underseat luggage. I was fined £75 as my bag was 2cm too big, although it fitted in the sizer no problem. Staff at boarding gate were very rude, and it looks like they target single women to fine. I tried to appeal against this, there were people on the flight with larger cabin bags than myself but they closed the case and have an appaling customer service. Yes theyre cheap but they get their money back in other ways. They will be the last airline I'll use in future. Be careful they are now banning paper boarding passes! Another way to fine passengers!
Disappointed
First of all I would like to say that the aircon. Few where very polite and human on both outgoing and return flights. However, on our returning flight, we were very disturbed to constant sort drinks were not refilled before our flight home, so we could not purchase any drinks. To make it worse, the plane was boiling hot, so very uncomfortable. All we were offered not water with ice in it. Very poor.
Avoid Ryanair Private Transfers
Foolishly decided to book Private Transfer from Warsaw Airport with upfront payment of £34. After delay through passport control the driver had gone. This was in spite of communication telling him there would be a delay. All the communication is done through a third party so Ryanair escape responsibility as they have contracted out. No repayment of money.
Do your best to avoid
Do your best to avoid!
Hidden excessive charges when you get to the airport!
Tiny, unclean planes.
Staff seem exhausted and are miserable.
Excessive delays resulting in even more costs and then the reject your claim for compensation!
This airline needs stopping! It’s had its day and now has zero customer service? Just a money making thought process!
Do not book airport parking through…
Do not book airport parking through Ryan Air.
I booked the airport parking at Stansted Airport through Ryan Air and have gotten nothing in way of confirming my booking. When I searched my number plate nothing showed up. I stupidly cannot remember whether I booked mid or long term so I don't even know where to go. No confirmation email has arrived from either Ryan Air or Stansted Airport. Ryan Air support know nothing other than that they charged me. All they do is send me to the contacts page of Stanted Airport. They can't even give me a reference number.
This is a completely unnessary nightmare....Book your parking elsewhere.....
Avoid at all costs
Paid for 2 x bags, extra leg room, priority booking and still the thieves want more.
They charged me an extra 75 euros to put my bag in the hold because it was as they said oversized. No issues from Leeds Bradford.
Never again with this bunch. Avoid them pay more and relax.
Hope they go bust.

I do not recommend flying with Ryan Air
I do not recommend flying with Ryan Air, be very careful.
Our itinerary was from Sofia to Cagliari with a stop in Malta. Both flights are operated by Ryan Air. Since their first flight was late, we missed the second flight, leading to a 2-night stay in Malta, uncurring EUR 400 rebooking costs, costs for a 2-night stay in Malta and losing on the stay for 2 days we had already paid in Sardinia, making it a pure loss of EUR 1200.
Their policy does not cover for such delays PLUS they are not transparent about the progress of the time either. Until the plane took off, only the app was showing the delay but also inconsistently and the airport was not informed of the new departure time and all screens were showing the original time. Their support agent claimed the delay ia less than 1 hour and we are it eligible for a refund. However it ended up being above 1 hour, 20 minutes longer than the originally estimated delay and we still didn't get a refund, just paid slightly less for rebooking.
Be careful with Kiwi as well. They claimed after my booking that these so called transfer flights will get "instant refund" even if the airline declines and they rejected my refund request without transparent reasons.
Forced me to pay extra 60 euro even…
Forced me to pay extra 60 euro even though the bag met the criteria. Employees threatened me and shouted to either pay or miss the flight. I will never fly with them ever again, do yourself a favor go and pay few extra bucks instead of this humiliation!
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. My family and I will never use this company again. I know this may not mean much, but I refuse to pay to be treated rudely—especially over something as minor as a hand luggage that was barely 1 cm over the limit. I understand the need to enforce rules, but there was no flexibility or common sense in this case. What made it worse was the condescending attitude and sarcasm from the supervisor last night (her name: Rukan)—it was truly unpleasant. Shame on you, Ryanair. I hope life repays you with the same lack of empathy you show your customers. I will comeback with the whole story.
Boarding horror to Berlin
I was flying to Berlin from Manchester on 25th July, I was denied boarding by a member of staff due to minor damage on my passport. I lost out on my flights, hotel, and now I've had to buy a new passport.
I've used my passport with ryanair atleast 15 rimes over the past year and a half.
My passport was slightly bent with very minor damage, can see all the details very clearly and works on egates. By government guidelines it was fit for travel.
This erroneous decision by an inexperienced member of staff has cost me a substantial amount of money. When I've contacted them to raise a complaint they just aren't interested at all.
Ryanair have their positives, but this isn't one of them.
I've asked for their complaint process, ignored. Asked for a manager call back ignored, asked for CEO complaints Inbox ignored.
Looks as though my next steps will be to contact their head office directly and go to the media as they aren't interested in complaints or assisting customers.
Poor experiences at Bristol and Lanzarote
Poor experience at Lanzarote check-in. Six flights, four desks - use any desk, carnage ensued. Received email the day before flight and told to arrive early and not spend any time in retail airside as there were long queues at passport control. There weren’t any queues at all, but the flight was delayed by an hour so we got to spend time in the shops etc. At least Lanzarote recognised priority boarding as Bristol didn’t at all amd it was a proper cattle market on the outbound flight.
Flying back from Dublin yesterday 1st…
Flying back from Dublin yesterday 1st August on flight FR 340
Flight details:
Dublin - London (Luton) Fri, 01 Aug 25 Departure time - 11:55 Arrival time - 13:05 (DUB) - (LTN)
We Left from Gate 107
During the flight: The number one of the cabin crew was rude to the other crew members. He was extremely horrible to one particular crew member He audibly told her off in view of the whole front cabin. We sat in row 2 and we heard everything he said to her; passengers in row 1 also commented on his behaviour. He wasn’t even nice to passengers! Two men went to the toilet as soon as the seat belt sign went out. He seemed cross that they were in his way. He commented ‘can’t you wait, the flight’s only an hour’.
We’re sure that you don’t want passengers being left with a negative image of Ryanair. We are informing you because he is one of your front line.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Appalling Customer Service & Hidden…
Appalling Customer Service & Hidden Fees – Avoid Ryanair
I had the worst flying experience ever with Ryanair on 25th July 2025. A friend kindly gifted me and my family tickets to Kraków using a voucher, but the booking was in Polish, a language I don’t speak. I was unaware that I had to check in online, and upon arrival at Stansted Airport, I was told by an extremely rude Ryanair staff member that I had to pay £165 just to check in — £55 per person for three people!
What airline charges over £50 per person to check in? Is this even legal? The UK’s consumer protection laws really need to take a closer look at this.
I explained that this was my first time flying with Ryanair, that I didn’t make the booking, and that the instructions were in a foreign language. The response? “The person who booked it should have told you.” No empathy, no help — just pay or don’t fly. I had no choice but to pay, otherwise my children would have missed their holiday.
As if that wasn’t enough, we were sent to Gate 44, then told it was now Gate 53, only to be sent back to Gate 44 again. Total chaos.
I submitted a complaint, but Ryanair has completely ignored me. No reply. No resolution.
This airline thrives on confusion, aggressive upselling, and trapping customers with hidden fees. It feels like a scam disguised as a business.
My warning to other passengers: Don’t be fooled by the cheap headline prices — Ryanair will claw it back through fees, stress, and poor treatment. Avoid them if you can. There are better airlines that actually respect their customers.
Scammers, No Response After Damaged Luggage Claim
I flew with Ryanair from Ciampino and arrived to find my suitcase severely damaged. It had been professionally wrapped, yet it looked as if it had been thrown off the plane. The damage was so extreme that it clearly goes beyond normal handling.
I submitted a claim right away (Ref: 65753512/KUBZYT) and despite repeated follow-ups, I’ve received absolutely no response. Weeks have passed, and Ryanair continues to ignore the issue.
This is unacceptable customer service. I expect a proper response and resolution to my claim without further delay. If I continue to be ignored, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter through the appropriate consumer and legal channels.
I tried checking in to my flight 10…
I tried checking in to my flight 10 hours before and I couldn't because on the browser I couldn't find my country of origin. Then I decided to check in once I arrived to the airport. Once I arrived I saw that I could download the app and check in there...but checking was already closed. One and a half+ hours before departure with no check in bags I went to the counter to check in and they told me I needed to pay 33 euro fee for check in because I was too late. She said if I would have been there a few minutes earlier it would have been ok. This is ridiculous! I've never had this with any other airline. From this day on I sware not to fly with Ryanair anymore. You guys try to take money from us with whatever way possible. It makes me wonder what about those who are not tech savvy or have no internet connection before reaching the airport?
