Edinburgh Shandwick Place - excellent service

Missing parts in set
Unfortunately, two sets were missing parts. One set was missing a brush, and the other was missing the sharpener's blade. I haven't opened the other set because it was a gift, so I don't know if it's missing anything. But both sets had missing parts.

Cello bags do not fit
I bought some cello bags that said they fitted 6x6 cards. They do fit the cards but not if you put an envelope with it which is ridiculous because a card needs an envelope

Excellent Company...
My first experience with this company was an On-Line order with only collection in Chorley Lancashire. I made the mistake of click/collect next day so when I arrived item not in store. I looked at another printer which was in a sale and which I purchased and the staff where very friendly and helpful with cancelling the On-Line order. Staff knowledge of products and advice on products you need for the work you want products for is outstanding. I highly recommend this company for your work needs especially if your a beginner. You will at least learn the various products for your work needs.
Excellent customer service
I needed to send my iPhone to be repaired. I needed to print a label ( l have no printer)
The two girls in the Ryman stationary shop in Bolton helped me immensely, I really don’t know what I would have done without them. They checked my phone to ensure anything of importance was deleted . They printed the label from my phone to their printer and then sellotaped the label to a Jiffy bag for me, I am truly grateful for their help and they are both a credit to RYMANS.

We ordered 3 copies of a court bundle…
We ordered 3 copies of a court bundle paginated and indexed (120 pages )
On arriving to collect 3 days after I ordered and driving a round trip of 35 miles . We were greated with a single copy ? With the invoice of £265 we paid clearly showing x 3 copies !!!
So I was very alarmed as I needed to post to court for an up coming case and only had 3 days to get it there .
The assistant said sorry only a single copy !
After a brief discussion they told me come back 3 hours later to which I refused and told them call a manager as it’s your fault in the first place .
Then after the call the assistant said I still need the digital copy which I didn’t have so I said remove paper from binder to do 2 more copies as time is running out , but magically he found the copy on the system so I left and had to hang about for an hour before going back and waiting another 10 minutes where another assistant told me she didn’t know where the guy had gone ?
After waiting longer he appeared with the 2 missing copies ……
So all in all very upset and put me behind a couple of hours but through human error it was me personally persisting they call a manager to resolve the problem !
I’d not recommend the service as it’s apparent to me young staff or untrained staff pay no attention to the jobs .
Very frustrating and disappointed
I wasn’t offered anything by way of compensation or loss of time / parking etc

The customer service team were superb with communication and support when I had a problem with a shredder. They resolved the matter quickly and kept me informed every step of the way.

the experience was quick and easy... I took in a used ink cartridge and was able to buy replacement ones.
They had what I needed in stock.... I left the used cartridge with them - to recycle.

Ordered 2 garden table sets. Received confirmation via email, monies taken and was awaiting delivery for 27/02/2026, so as iv seen these sets in other stores I know I like them and the quality is brilliant and as Ryman is reputable that if any issues arose after delivery it would be dealt with.
So to make room for 2 x 6ft of tables and 8 chairs I disposed of my own set, theres no way I could have had these items delivered with my own set out there too.
Today 26/02/2026, received an email which I thought yayy delivery date..only to see its a cancellation of both items as appears their stock levels didnt match up hence shown in stock on line and no stock, so they have refunded me very fast ..my payment method meant I was refunded within 24hrs so thats good.
What I am Really unhappy about apart from not getting my items, gutted is a understatement and frustrated, but it is that I actually replied to their customer service email to me, (its not a no reply one) and my email bounced back to me ,saying delivery address not recognisable etc.
I hate when companies do that, I much prefer if says this is a no reply email, I did look and couldn't see No Reply.
So although they updated me within couple days of order that items are cancelled by them and refunded to me,I now have no garden table or chairs ,the price on the website of items ordered has now doubled back up to what i guess is their normal selling price, though at least now website does now show items as 'Out of stock'.
I know some will say I shouldn't have given mine away until day of delivery but I needed the space to accommodate the 2 new sets due as its large.
Looks like sadly im going to have to look elsewhere though the sets were at a excellent sale price so its even more upsetting that I did not receive them,and yes I know theres way worse things in life to be upset on, lol, but my garden is pretty much my life these days.
So I'm sorry but I have to give 1 star review as a brand new online customer to Ryman im unhappy on the whole first online shopping experience with them, though im glad the refund was so fast and yes I do understand stock levels but as a customer it is still frustrating.

Although Rymans sorted the subsequent delivery’s, (because the contents kept getting broken,) they don’t seam to grasp the concept that if they ensured packages were adequately cushioned, and not just in a plastic bag then a cardboard box the items inside would not get damaged. Three deliveries of the same item!!!
