Left a piece of furnish in there Lobby area right next to there desk while moving a few thinks
When went back to get it the same day couldn’t find it any where and no member of staff had seen it
Went back the next day again and again all members of staff denied seeing it only when we asked to see the security cameras one member of staff come forward and said he had put it on the bin
And consequente broke it doing it so
Clearly they have some honesty issues
The manager at the branch was very unhelpful and probably on it
No attempts where made to call us when the item was left behind and they had 3 members of staff plus the manager that couldn’t be bothered to come of is office to talk to us because he was on is break and could be disturbed
We have been trying to talk to the regional manager about this but again things as been in vain
Don’t expect this guys to take any care or realspect for your Items
Just to be clear the regional manager can’t be bothered to call back so again this is a company that can not be trusted
We have asked many times to have a call back from the regional manager but no luck
Also we haven’t vacated we still have a storage unir there we just moved some item out

I used this storage facility at Lombard Road branch to store some belongings for four months over summer and Christmas. Everything went smoothly. We visited the facility several times during this period and receptionists were always friendly and professional. Of note was Cameron (during check in) and Nigel (during check out). My emails were also responded to in a timely manner usually within 48-72 hours and was able to reach them easily by phone also. I was due a refund at the end due to overpayment on my part and I received the refund as expected.

I appreciate your response and the lack of details you provided regarding the correspondence from your office. However, I must remind you that there are always two sides to a story, and unfortunately, I cannot attach the entire thread of correspondence to prove my point to the public. Furthermore, your claim that you do not release customer information to third parties is questionable, and I suggest you review your terms and conditions. I recently spoke to the final buyer of my storages, and we both agree that Safestore's dishonesty and tactics are unacceptable. I have no intention of contacting your generic customer service line, as they were unhelpful throughout the process.
As for the Region manager Sam Welsby and local manager on site Mr Mark Hamilton, I must say that leadership is not something that can be learned; it's engrained. Your inability to comprehend and respond to correspondence in a professional manner is unacceptable. Your dictative tone, lack of EQ, and poor management skills are appalling. It's people like you who give the UK a negative reputatio, especially when it involves work ethics.
Learn how to manage customers with respect, as not every customer is the same. Respect is earned, and I have been nothing but respectful throughout this entire process, even until the end. What goes around comes around and I do hope that Safestore will always have your back when you most need it.

I have been with them for 3 years. In the beginning they start cheaply so you can bite the hook. Then gradually they rise the price. At the end the original price almost tripled so i have to moved out. The management is so cheap that cant afford to buy a heavy duty epoxy paint for the floor so every few weeks the paint chip off and they shut down the facility to do painting again. Also the toilet is locked down … keep it nice and clean for the king … so if you need to use one… make sure you run to the bushes… also i ordered a stuff from ebay and normally they put all the boxes on a cart by the door… my packages was stollen… they checked the cameras… the man took the cart with my package and bring it back without…long story short at the end i got burned… every month i get charged for insurance but God forbid something happened… they will pay you nothing…the only good thing about this facility was the stuff who was friendly … but this cant compensate for the horrible experience and troubles you have to go through… i will never ever used safestore anymore…

I have just encountered one of the rudest customer service interactions at a safestore location in Battersea EVER and I have been a client at the same location for the past 8 years! Soon not to be! May I suggest, especially in this climate of constant movement and people leaving en masse from the UK that the Safestore Self Storage company invest some real time on their employees and their attitudes! Not a nice experience at all (bring back Jo)! Having waited for your employee to finish what can only be described as an inane and not work related conversation with a colleague on the phone (clearly she was not happy by the interruption) to be snapped at, walked out on and then when she returned (yes I waited because I wanted an explanation) she made no effort at all to maintain eye contact with me instead choosing to hide behind a screen whilst continuing her back chat. Disgusting behaviour. If I could rate it a minus I would.

I have had the pleasure of dealing with Safestore Lombard Rd, Battersea, they could not be more helpful, my goods went into storage just before the pandemic, I have moved into sheltered housing, we went into lockdown, they where all understanding, Joe (lady) could not do more to make life as simple as possible for me, my boxes etc are now moved, a slight hiccup with that, and again the staff where very nice, patient and could not do more, thank you all, keep safe, Mary Redford.
