Poor

Poor. Bananas always bruised on delivery. Customer service today was unhelpful and very aggressive when speaking about the issues. It seems that the guy was unhappy about coming to work or maybe life in general? Who knows. No need to take it out me if you dont want to be at work, just sort my issues out like not delivering the shopping and delivering food going out of date on the same day.

Online orders

I find them easy to deal with and efficient and am always kept informed of any changes with my deliveries.

Not allowed to leave product reviews.

The current problem with Sainsbury's is that it's impossible to leave product reviews.
I've tried to do so, many times this year and there is just no option to do so.
I've followed all the various options outlined online, with no luck.
I'm sure I've been able to do so before, but not now.
Is this because they didn't like a review I left, and have blocked me. Or do they just select customers one in a while, to leave feedback?
It suggests the reviews are limited and controlled.
It's dishonest and disingenuous.

Warning! Do not use them for party food! They cancel on the day!

We ordered party food on the 29th July for our daughter’s party today (16th August). On the SAME day as the party, they emailed to say all of the sandwich platters were unavailable.
Let’s process that, they make these to order! So on the day of a kids party, which is very obvious from the order, they decided they didn’t feel like it and left us to try and sort food for 30 children with zero notice. The email came at 5am and we have a party in 3 hours! Absolute scumbag pieces of dirt!

I’ve had my shopping delivered for a few years now after having major surgery & unable to do the shop myself & I have to say the whole experience is very good - App easy to set up & use - the pickers are very good with all foods - fresh items in good date range & a good state of condition- no old shabby items picked & then all packed very well and generally all items are available & in stock - any returned items are refunded straight away. Delivery staff are always very friendly & courteous & sometimes call to ask if I could receive the shopping earlier than planned which is an added bonus sometimes.
So generally an excellent service all round & good value especially using the saver slot for delivery - thoroughly recommend - especially Emerson’s Green Bristol store where I get my delivery.

PLEASANT CASHIERS ON THE TILLS

We tend to go to a cashier managed till when we pay for our groceries rather than going to the self checkout. I have found that the staff on the tills are very friendly, helpful and polite which is very much appreciated. It’s just a shame that Sainsbury’s prices aren’t a little more ‘competitive’ shall we say in comparison with other stores. If your prices were lower, we would do our main shop with you.

Current thoughts on Sainsbury’s Shorehead…

I have shopped at Shorehead Huddersfield since it opened, on Friday under all the trolleys it had litter everywhere, not a very good impression on picking up
trolley, some of the shelves look grubby, the store looks dated, go to Aldi the fridges are clean and bright. The products are good but expensive unless on nectar price.
The staff are all very pleasant and polite.

I recently ordered online using the deliveroo app. What I ordered was quite simple. Only 7 items. It took over an hour wait for Sainsbury’s to pack the order, which in itself is disappointing considering I could have done it myself in under 10 minutes. You might be thinking maybe they took their time to get to my order, however they managed to inform me about an out of stock item within 10 minutes of me placing an order. Unless every college is new and unfamiliar with everything in the store this should not have happened. It’s disappointing because I ordered things for a friends birthday and could not drive as we had been drinking and we had to wait for so long it ruined part of her day.

Delivery drivers make ALL the difference!

I have given 3 stars for just one reason.
Normally, I would give this home delivery service 5 stars, every time. It arrives within the time slot, the notification of substitutes and/or short life products is clear and easy to return if not wanted. The drivers are friendly, polite and very helpful... except one.
I have had a particular female delivery driver deliver 3 times recently. She obviously dislikes her job. Never smiles, never does any more than the basic minimum. I asked her to stack the crates, using the empty one to put under the rest so I don't have to bend. I have a bad back (I'm 75) and it's hard to bend down. She told me her job was to deliver to the doorstep and nothing more. She told me she had a bad back, too. She eventually did what I asked, but only stacking them outside of the front door and telling me she didn't have to do this, that I should read the terms and conditions about the delivery driver's role, blah, blah, moan, moan, moan!
This made my shopping experience very uncomfortable; an unpleasant start to my day.
ALL other drivers have even offered to take shopping into the kitchen, but not her = not her job! I didn't ask her to do this, by the way.
The time before, I had a big order, £250 ish. She stood back and looked at her watch and said she only had 15 minutes for each delivery. No offer to help, just impatience at my unloading of a large order. There's so much more to say but I won't say it here. Just a rude, unpleasant, bitter woman, in the wrong job!
