After assembling and trying the chair, it isn’t supportive and gave me back pain (I already suffer from back issues). Unfortunately, I was told I couldn’t return it once assembled, but realistically t... See more

FAKE HAIR SOLD AS HUMAN HAIR
Sally beauty sells hair extensions that are marketed and as 100% human hair per the packaging, inserts, and signs throughout the store. But this is deceptive since it is not, but once you find out it is too late due Sally's no return policy./ I have been buying "human" hair bundles to use for hair extensions for myself, friends and family when needed for special occasions, and I never had any issues. I typically would reuse the hair multiple times over a few years before donating it to beauty schools. Over the last 6 months, I purchased a hair bundle twice, each time after washing the hair, it became extremely dry, and matted to the point that it was no longer usable. This typically happens with synthetic hair strands, or blends, not 100% human hair. Per the packaging the hair was marketed as 100% human and priced accordingly at $80+ per pack as opposed $30 and less for synthetic. This is deceptive and illegal per consumer protection laws at the federal and state levels. I am filing a formal complaint against them with the attorney general her in Ma and with the consumer protection bureau and other relevant agencies. If you had similar experiences, I urge you to do the same,
Nonhuman Customer Service; No Empathy
I placed an order on Friday for a number of hair products. The estimated delivery time was about 2 business days and it arrived exactly then. After receiving my package; i’ve never had this happen before, I noticed it was much smaller than it should be for all that I ordered. I wondered if I was scammed or something. I opened the box and it contained a couple items, none of which being things I ordered. I‘d somehow received someone else’s order but there was no packing slip or way to indicate whose it was. I was very disappointed and reached out to customer service, hoping to be more informed of how something like this happened and also validated. Despite asking to speak to a human, I still felt as though I was communicating with a robot. They offered to either refund me or reship the items upon proof of what I shared. I wanted to be pragmatic and just get the problem resolved rather than raise a hell storm. I also have an event I need the products for this coming weekend. The delivery time quoted to me was 4-7 business days (1-2 days toward processing). I’m curious how the shipping time only increased despite their error and despite my complaints as a customer, the situation was not escalated or expedited. Even the greediest business or corporation offers at the very least a coupon/discount when they have a minor mishap. I was offered nothing but to keep the 4 items as if it was a courtesy that I got free items I never asked for and am incapable of using because they‘d damage my hair. The communication was poor, my concerns as a customer were not properly handled. There was a complete lack of care. The most frustrating part of attempting to communicate with an agent from Sally’s beauty is that there’s a passive aggressive way about how they quickly close out the conversation.
Money takes time to process, a resource that is slim in recent times. My refund would have processed in a couple days if I went that route. Because I went with getting the reshipment, there’s now the pressure of having to spend more money overall getting products in store in lieu of what I didn’t receive, ultimately buying and spending more than what I needed. I believe that’s how companies get you these days.
I was hoping to speak to someone with more influence to voice my concern about getting the shipment expedited. I felt that was not too much to ask. I was told that that wasn’t an option. Having an order arrive much later due to their error should not come at a cost to me. It may have been more reasonable for me to take the refund but I had very limited options with my deadline and I felt like the situation could still be resolved in a reasonable and professional way. Ultimately though I was given a choice it was a double edged sword in which I had to exert extra effort and dig into my pocket for their error.
I still haven’t received my new delivery details/new order and tracking number. It is majorly unprofessional how this is being handled. Im not sure where I can go to voice my complaints or write a review about the company as a whole because my experience of the employees and in person stores have all been positive. It just happens to be the online portion and customer service that is extremely poor. For that, I will not be shopping with Sally Beauty again.
Extremely disappointed with Sally…
Extremely disappointed with Sally Beauty and their inflexible, customer-unfriendly policies.
I purchased a hair color and returned the very next day to exchange it for a different shade—same product, just one level lighter. The item was completely unused and in perfect condition. This should have been a simple, no-issue exchange.
Instead, because I had used coupons, I was told I had to pay a fee just to swap it. Customer service backed this up and said they could only help if the product was damaged—which makes no sense. So they’ll fix a problem if it’s defective, but won’t allow a straightforward exchange for an untouched product?
This feels less like policy and more like penalizing customers for shopping there. I wasn’t asking for a refund—just an even exchange. Situations like this make it clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority.
I won’t be shopping here again, and I’d caution others to think twice—especially if you plan to use coupons.
Made a order online to pick up
Made a order online to pick up. Picked up my order in store
An employee of Sally Beauty put her phone in my online order bag. When I got home I called sallys and discussed that the employee could pick up her phone when she got off at my home. The employee called me three times asking if other random people could pick up at my home. I told staff only she could pick up. She called the police and they came to my home for a phone she put in my bag and said she would pick up.
We went to the Sally's in Cookeville
We went to the Sally's in Cookeville. I had purchased some developer they recommended to cover Grey better. We odered online and bought what they said. We bought 5 of them as they were on sale. Needless to say they were wrong so we went to take them back. We told them we ordered them about 4 months ago. They told us to find the order. My husband found the order and then they told us it was too long after he found the order which was about 4 months ago. 3 female workers in there and they were worthless! I need to find somewhere else to get my product! They were not nice! Time was about 1:15 PM.
Fantastic service at Finchley Central, London branch.
I went to Sally Beauty in Finchley Central in London recently. I was seeking advice and recommendations to colour my hair. There were three lovely ladies present. Collette helped me with advice for my hair, Shirin helped me with colour recommendation and Janet did my checkout. These three ladies gave me real attention. They listened well to what I needed and answered my questions with honour and integrity. They were all friendly, kind, interested in genuinely helping me they even went to the shelves and found all the products to make sure that I would have everything I needed. It was a personal service and I was so grateful. Thank you Collette, Shirin and Janet for doing such a great job for me. They made me feel special and the whole experience was wonderful. I will always recommend them, remember them and appreciate who they are. 10 out of 10.

The worst place to have bussiness with
The worst place to have bussiness with. when I called I spoke to a woman named grace, she was very rude and was laughing when I was telling her I was upset with the service there bussiness had served me. She was one of the most disgusting people I’ve ever interacted with. They were not helpful and nothing but rude. When I emailed customer service and told them my experience they did not care. Don’t not give Sally’s your business, just order from Amazon or other online stores.

#SallyBeautyIsAJoke
I recently placed an order online for six hair colors and about five other hair care products, I believe it was on Sunday, March 15 of 2026. It was during their promotion of online purchases where you got $15 off for $40 purchase or $30 off of an $80 purchase. after everything was said and done my total said it was $51.59 after all of my coupons or savings it showed a $30 credit for the $30 off of 80 and it also show so the $15 reward certificate of savings, a $45 total. However, my bank statement shows that they charge me $67.87 when I wrote to Sally Beauty supply customer service and asked them why it charged me a different price of what my total said they tell me that there was only a $30 coupon on my order. The problem is I have a screenshot that I’ve provided them that proves differently that it shows my total is $51.59. I’ve emailed back-and-forth of them and provided them proof of what it said that my total was and then proof of what it was actually charged in my card and their response was it was a error on my browser part on my phone and there’s nothing they can do about it. I need to update my browser. The days of customer service where the customer is always right, especially when I have blatant proof right in front of them are long gone. I highly doubt I’ll be attorney customer to Sally Beauty supply and that was the only place I ever bought any of my hair care and or hair dye products I would be looking for somewhere else to purchase them probably Amazon.
I love the Sally Beauty Store in Avon…
I love the Sally Beauty Store in Avon Commons and I am very sad that it is closing!!!

I visited Sally’s in Exeter and was served by Leah. She was very professional and really helped me with the query I had. She identified a hair dye that was suitable that I am eager to try. Apart from a lovely personality I really appreciated her advice. I would highly recommend.
I purchased two full size 33.8 bottles…
I purchased two full size 33.8 bottles of shampoo at $19.99 each and one body wash at $9.99. I ordered it to be delivered to me due to my disability and I am unable to drive for several days now. I ordered a 2 hour delivery in the morning and it took until the end of the day to come at 5pm. What was delivered was two very small bottles of the same shampoo and no body wash. I called them and they said they would refund me the $58.84 total with tax and tip included. Have not seen a refund but they took out my money after I called. Called again and they say oh its still pending and dont know why. I am unable to get to the store anytime soon. I think the workers are not working and maybe decided hey I need this shampoo and body wash. Let give her a small one . Never again will I deal with this place again. Back to Ulta for me, it may be more pricey but I wont have to deal with all this headache.
BUYER BEWARE!!!
BUYER BEWARE!!!
Purchased and returned a hair dryer and protection plan. Only got a refund for the dryer. Having a hard time getting a refund for the protection plan.
DO NOT BUY!!!
Perfect service.
I visited the Sally Beauty warehouse in Kettering earlier today and had such a lovely experience. The service was amazing from start to finish.
Tina and Georgia greeted me with a smile as soon as I came in and were so friendly and welcoming. They took the time to help me with my inquiry and were really knowledgeable and kind. They were genuinely lovely to talk to and made me feel comfortable and well looked after.
Excellent customer service — thank you both!
STAY AWAY!
I asked a simple question about where a specific color brand was located, and the associate I approached (long brown hair; I didn’t catch her name) responded in a dismissive tone: “What you see, that’s what we have—if you don’t see it, we do not have it.” The store wasn’t busy, so there was no reason for the attitude....you think it's over...nope...at checkout, when I asked how long I should leave the color on, the same unpleasant associate said, “You know, you can Google those things.”
Paid for delivery and the driver claims…
Paid for delivery and the driver claims they knocked on my door but I was home the entire time about 4 metres from my door and no one ever knocked. Now I have to go and pick the order up instead - asked for a refund for the delivery fee and was told because the driver has a photo of my door that they attempted delivery and they can’t refund my delivery fee
Joke of a store and Credit Card
First off, I used to shop at Sally’s all the time until I recently bought a hair color that turned my hair red instead of the color that I bought, which was a dark brown. When I went to Sally’s and ask for a refund on the color, they wouldn’t even honor what they said they would. As for their credit card That’s a joke as well. They overcharge you with that even when you pay your card off and are not using it.. You can pay the bill off and they still charge you without you even using the card so don’t get the credit card and don’t shop at the store. It’s all a joke and them just trying to pocket free money! The products they sell may seem cheaper but they are not as good as what the others are charging us for!
Really knowledgeable and very friendly…
Really knowledgeable and very friendly customer service. For the first time in 58 years I have a hairbrush that can cope with my hair! Staff are always happy to advise and make the shopping experience a positive one 😊
Glitchy website, watch your $, customer care is a joke
The website is very glitchy, prepare for your card to be charged but no order fulfillment. Call customer service and get ready for promises for compensation that are never fulfilled, they'll say you denied compensation. They will patronize you just short of calling customers a liar.
