Placed an order for two different animal salt licks. Order paid for and confirmed with a £7.99 next day delivery charge. One lot of licks turned up the following morning. In the afternoon i received an email cancelling the outstanding items as there was no stock. I would not have placed the order in the first instance knowing this, and i definitely would not have paid for next day delivery. The refund for the items was processed immediately BUT nothing for the courier charge.

Won't deliver items to NE Scotland....
Having successfully ordered nearly £4K worth of garden equipment over the past year from Sam Turner, I tried to order a leaf blower and petrol powerwasher (another £1K). Could not complete the order because the powerwasher comes direct from the supplier who would not deliver to my postcode. Not highlighted on their website. Called ST to find a solution and they were of no help and not really interested. Took my busiess elsewhere and will do the same in future...

Bought a lovely fleece from this firm, arrived the next day, perfect. Very good price, well wrapped although the post office managed to rip the package, luckily no harm done to the fleece.

Ordered a new pair of chainsaw safely boots on a Sunday afternoon. They arrived by 10.30am, on the Monday morning.

Order a replacement wheelbarrow wheel on a bank holiday and it still arrived the next day using their express delivery. They were also the only company I could find with the correct wheel for by barrow.

After reading some of the reviews on here I was sceptical about my order. I shouldn't have been.
My order came 2 days after ordering, the correspondence I received every step of the way from the company was professional and kept me.informed.
My Barbour jacket is exactly what I ordered at a reduced price from the shop. I am more than happy and would recommend this company.
Don't believe all you read and try to read in-between the lines some people are so hard to please.

I ordered a garden fork from Sam Turner & Sons and communication was excellent from start to finish. Delivery was held up slightly and despite it being no fault of Sam Turner they promptly investigated and reported back. Would recommend.

I've bought a few items from this company recently and I've found them to be competitive on price. Also had to return an item and found the process easy and the refund was dealt with efficiently. Their technical department was also professional and knowledgeable. I can't fault this company, they do what they say they're going to do in a speedy and efficient manner.

I usually look at reviews first when buying from a company I don't know. There are invariably good and bad with one generally outweighing the other. I bought a hedge cutter at a good price but it arrived (on time) with a damaged box that was more than just cosmetic. Sam Turner support staff looked at the photos and promptly agreed to send a replacement by express delivery, no quibbles. This was affected and I was impressed by the agent's courtesy and commitment to rectify. The best part is that she was going to root out where the mishandling had occurred for future prevention. That matters.

Excellent customer service . Made a phone enquiry about a Sthil Strimmer was answered promptly . I went n the website and ordered it at 3pm and it was delivered the next day .

Ordered an item early on a Friday morning (8-15) hoping to get my item Saturday (APC Overnight delivery), as I'd ordered before 13-00. I received a confirmation of my order at at 13-39, (after the 13-00 cut off for next day delivery) and so the item didn't arrive Saturday as I'd hoped.
I've enquired this morning and apparently it's my fault for not checking Sam Turner and Sons delivery terms, which quite clearly say that it wasn't going to happen!
However at the point of ordering this isn't made clear.

First and last order from this business poor web site and misleading at the point of ordering.

If I could give zero stars I would. £12.95 to return a strimmer that wasn’t even taken out the box. Terrible couldn’t care less service. The post master tried his hardest to make the return as cheap as possible, just a pity the company didn’t have the same compassion.

Firstly, Sam Turner & Sons is a great company to deal with. Their prices are very competitive. Their customer service is old fashioned and great! And very fast delivery. Now the important bit – I have a 1.7 acre garden. My ride on lawnmower is in for a repair that might take weeks before parts are available. In the meantime, my grass is going to grow to an unmanageable height before my ride on lawnmower is returned. So, I have bought 2 Ego Power LM19003e lawn mowers. One for my son and one for me so that we can jointly tackle the huge area that needs mowing! This is an incredible machine. It copes, cuts, long wettish grass with ease. The self-propulsion takes all the hard work out. I have also purchased 2 sets of mulching kits. Saves having to keep emptying the grass box – it mulches so well, no need for grass collecting. It is a very smart looking machine. And it is great fun. Excellent exercise! In fact, it is a lawnmower and exercise machine in one! Very pleased.

I recently purchased a timber garden gate. The quality was superb, the advice and sales service I was given was really helpful and delivery was efficient and on time.

I read a glowing review of a battery powered lawn mower in the magazine Which? As I was considering buying such a machine, I looked around for one at a good price and this is where I came across Sam Turner and Sons. Not only were they selling the machine plus battery and charger at a very good price but they also offered free delivery. I decided to pay a small sum extra for express delivery as I wanted to be sure someone was available when the delivery was made. I ordered the mower on a Saturday afternoon and I was surprised to find that the mower was available for delivery by DPD on the following Monday morning. I was kept fully informed of each stage of the despatch process. The whole transaction was done online and couidn't have been more straightforward. Sam Turner and Sons provided a truly excellent service.
