I ordered a Stihl bush strimmer online, which with the batteries and charger came to £1,100. After using it four times the start button jammed. I called Sam Turner & Sons and asked them to collect and repair it. They refused and said i had to deliver it back to them. I live in Sussex and they are in North Yorkshire and consumer law states that it is their responsibility to collect the item. I will be contacting Stihl directly tomorrow to inform them that one of their dealers is behaving in this way. I would recommend you stay away from Sam Turner & Sons.

I ordered urgent medicine for my dog (which was out of stock at all the local vets) on Friday for next day delivery which cost me £8 extra for the express service, thinking I would get a delivery on Saturday but instead the item is due to arrive on Monday via DPD. After following this up with them I received a very smug email from their "customer service" team stating its in their terms that next day delivery may not always be next day. No doubt I would have received the item quicker had they had posted it first class, and at a fraction of the cost. Incidently other online retailers were offering delivery on Monday but without the hefty delivery charge. My dog is now suffering for potentially 3 more days because of their misleading and greedy "next day" service.

Quick delivery and convenient, accurate DPD tracking. Saved a few £ on Amazon price of same item.

Ordered pair of boots at £340. Arrived on time to have only one damaged boot in box. Called to complain guy not really bothered on phone. Says he will see what’s happening and hangs phone up. Called 25 minutes later to be told I was just off the phone ten minutes ago and started being discourteous on the phone. Then started trying to say he would send a new pair out straight away. Stopped him at that and told due to his rude manner on the phone I wanted a full refund which he agreed to. And to think I was going to buy a chainsaw from them next week. Definitely won’t be using again.

I ordered 2 chainsaws on a Sunday afternoon with standard delivery......just unpacked them at 10am on Monday morning!!!!!! How do they do that??? Amazing service and would deffo use again.

A while ago I purchased an EGO 56 volt battery powered strimmer.
It arrived promptly and has worked very well.
I decided to buy an extra battery as the single one sometimes didn't last the job of strimming around my 20 pole allotment and surrounding area.
The extra battery arrived, again, very promptly.
So thank you Sam Turner and Son for dealing with my purchases quickly and efficiently.
And as for the EGO Strimmer, it's brilliant. It's really good at cutting down long grass, weeds anything I present it with it cuts it down.
It's reasonably quiet, indeed very quiet compared to a petrol powered Strimmer, but much nicer to handle without noise, vibration and exhaust fumes.
No need to mess with cans of petrol and the battery charges very quickly.
Love it.

Bit slow responding to questions on an item I wanted to purchase. It took a couple weeks for a reply to questions I had about a specific leaf blower. They were not answered in the first reply so I frustratingly had to ask all over again and wait a lengthy period for a response. Eventually this was answered so proceeded with the order. Requested a PDI (Pre delivery inspection) on the order which was done without hesitation so I thank you. Delivery was a day earlier than predicted to a remote location. Item itself arrived in original packaging in good shape. The blower works great so overall a good experience. I will likely buy from them again If i need anything else.

Really poor customer service it seems the cannot deal with a simple phone enquiry . Thankfully the manufacturer of the product was able to deal with my problem within minutes.

Sam Turner’s service, pricing and website accuracy were exemplary when I ordered a Stihl battery-operated lawn/hedge shears and matching vacuum cleaner.
In fact, the items were delivered earlier than expected and, as usual with Stihl, all the individual components appear to be of top quality.
My only minor criticism concerns some of the wording on display - “Made in China” - which, with the inevitable price increase, no doubt, I would willingly have substituted for “Manufactured in Germany/Britain/Romania/Eire/Australia et al” (delete where applicable!).
That aside, my verdict’s a well-deserved five stars all the way. Well done to Sam Turner & Sons and to Stihl.

Still not heard anything so I've written to the Managing Director at the store address and also the address on Companies House, both by registered post. All the directors are Turners.

I ordered a widget. It was easy to buy, and it arrived really quickly.

The product was delivered in the manufacturer's box rather than then being packaged in a delivery box. I don't know whether to think this is how it should always be (much more eco) or whether we need to ensure the manufacturer's box needs to be packaged so as to preserve it in case of returns... probably depends on whether the item needs to be returned, I guess.

Anyway, it was all fine for me, so thank you and five stars.

I spent over £300 with this company and got great value for money a good service and prompt delivery.
If they sell the product ime looking for this is where I will be shopping in future.
100% satisfaction.
If only other internet providers could give a service like this.

Robot mower…cost almost the same as our ride on tractor mower…I can mow the lawn in an hour…Sam’s gps navigation robot can’t do it in two weeks. It mostly just sits there looking up…..can’t find the satellites..doh. Sam Promises to turn up and fix it….waiting. Could be great if they could install it properly. Helpful Engineer attended today and reports all fixed. Waiting for tonight’s scheduled mowing session for proof.

Husqvarna Automower
I luv my robot mower...but....I luv anything automated. I must say Sam's guys are 1st class and v helpful. The mad mower not so. It does go and mow the lawn...but 90% times I have to go manually restart it from some error....not good. I will/probaly not send it back cos I want it to work...clearly released too early with s/w bugs. I hate/luv my mad mower.

I don’t often leave a bad review, but sadly this company’s customer service in northallerton is disgusting!

Having had a dismal experience with another company selling this product, I needed 4 acorn finials to complete the set.
I found them, cheaper, with Sam Turner.
They have just arrived, in perfect condition, the number I ordered, faster than anticipated and finally I can put them all where they belong.
Im over the moon with them, the service, the delivery and the whole experience

Absolutely Fantastic service, next day delivery even though it said 3 to 5 day standard delivery, 2nd item purchased both very quick and able to pay in 4 instalments, can’t recommend this company highly enough, great service. Thanks Sam and Sons 👍

Oh dear, made an order without reading reviews here first, won’t ever use again.

Terrible customer service, this company needs to realise you are messing with people’s lively hoods. You can’t get anything right and you obviously have a major issue with pickers who can’t send all the goods we order. I’m still waiting for you to correct the problem so I can actually go back to work? Isn’t hard to just send me the missing parts?.

Bought a pair of Loake boots online on Sunday afternoon, they were £40 cheaper than anywhere on the net. I only paid for standard 3-4 day post and they arrived the next day at 11am. That’s what I call service! 100% recommended.

Excellent Service, recently visited the Stokesley Store in person, to purchase a mower.However,the first machine, I purchased was an excellent machine and done a great cut, however, it was just to heavy for me to use and get in and out of my small van.This was my mistake as I should of researched the initial mower more, however, the issue was quickly dealt with by Chris Agnew and a lighter Honda mower was sourced and prepared for me.Excellent service again from all at Stokesley, but thanks again to Chris for going the extra mile, to sort my problem out .
