Customer service

Terrible bank. ZERO support, useless customer servicen the only information I received from employee was: I don't know, I don't have the information or I can't provide the information. I do not recommend taking loan in any amount.

Avoid

Had to set up my access then it logged me out and asked for the numbers that has been sent in the post again. When I did this it blocked me. Wasted ages waiting for someone to answer the phone. AVOID

Customer Service Are Untrained, Unprofessional and Provide Wrong Information

Their customer service agents (savings, mortgages and credit card) are not fully trained and unprofessional. They cannot be trusted to provide accurate and reliable information. They have consistently provided wrong information which have led to financial losses and penalties to my accounts and assets, as well as undue STRESS , having personally experienced all of the above myself.

2 different agents will provide 2 completely different answers on the same question. One will be wrong. Even their supervisors are inept. Who do you trust ?

Multiple complaints raised on the above over the course of 3 years over multiple issues and incorrect info provided. A lot of their telephone staff also lack common decencies and courtesies such as "please" "thank you" when addressing customers. When staff were politely reminded, one gets the impression that it is a annoyance, burden and unheard of, to use phrases such as "please" or "thank you" .

Entire Situation remains unchanged even until now.

Stay away with a 20 mile bargepole

Never return a product bought on consumer loan, its money gone!

Closed a consumer loan and later returned a product bought on that loan. The entire refund discussion is a nightmare. In spite of furnishing each and every document along with the proof that bank transfer has been made by Elgiganten to Santander there is absolutely no progress in the quality of information given to me. Every time the response is "We haven't received the amount from Elgiganten, we have only received it from you. You have to contact Elgiganten. "
This careless attitude of customer service is not acceptable.

Why can't they check with their finance deptrtment and confirm whether money was received on the said date of 22nd of Feb at their given bank account. All information has been submitted.

Adam - Online Banking Customer Service

Spoke with Adam via customer service for online banking (0330 123 0209) at 12:48-12:58 today. Adam went through security with me to ensure compliance, which is very reassuring. Adam was incredibly helpful and a pleasure to speak with. As a business, Santander to date have never let me down. I appreciate their service and the work of individual teams/employees that make Santander a fantastic organisation. I asked Adam if I would receive a text so I could rate the service today. Unfortunately this function is not available post call, therefore I have left a review here. Thank you Adam and Santander, keep up the fantastic work and all the best for New Year.
