Be careful

Honestly don’t bother buying here.
This is the toxic salesman environment.
Where you will be shoved a car payment machine to put a deposit down and be told to do it.

My dad was pushed into it on the spot, was just told by a salesperson here we will take the £500 deposit now. The finance quote didn’t come through either yet.

We asked to get the £500 back and was told it’s non refundable and that we signed an order form. Honestly we don’t even remember nothing being told. We just got told to sign this, put the deposit on and we will get the finance checked.

I used to work in sales. That’s a sales tactic to get you to put deposit down, just bringing out the card machine.

I just wonder how people who may be vulnerable be treated… that’s a concern.

I asked for 2 calls back to discuss finance and RAC warranty that was mis sold to us. Which we did not receive. However when we was in the show room everyone is your friends and everyone shakes your hand and greets you. We was under the impression that we can transfer it over to another car. Hence why we took it out for 5 years. But we only did this so the salesman at the time (September 2025) would get his ‚commission’ as then he can offer us a better price.

We only took the finance for the RAC as we paid for the car upright. We asked and was reassured numerous times that the warranty is transferable to another car otherwise no way would we get 5 years.

Yes you can argue all documents were signed however please tell who reads every single fine print. But if you was to argue that - the documents don’t really state it clearly anyway it says to visit the RAC warranty website. But… I thought you are meant to trust your salesman to give you correct information. However it seems it’s all about the sale and commission.

Empathy and sympathy are two different things, where colleagues need to be taught about. Hearing somone say 'sorry about that' 'I am sorry to hear that’ is not being genuine it just a statement to say.
It’s just to shut us up.

Being told to listen and listen and let me speak when you want to be heard and listen to is not right. Let us customers speak and listen someone we need to rant to be heard.

I was on the phone in tears and crying because I just was not listen to I just got told to 'listen' like I’m some sort of dog. But I just wanted to be heard and understood but that was far from it. I didn’t want to hear it, I just wanted to heard which I was not. Which led me to be emotionally distraught and distressed which is embarrassing. But I don’t know if it’s because I’m a women, or maybe because people think they’re better than others. But sometimes customers just want to be heard not told to 'listen’.

To understand someone is important and that’s the main thing. We brought our first car here, was going to buy a second. But the lack of support, correct communication, and toxic sales culture I don’t mind loosing the £500 deposit.

You can keep it the deposit.

Maybe just use that to fix the women’s toilet as the flush it broken and there was toilet tissue all over the floor which was vile. But I didn’t come on here to write a review about a toilet.

- I’ve noticed all the replies to reviews are to email you. This is enough said. Maybe get a team meeting and teach your staff empathy, and try to get rid of this toxic salesman environment.
But I will make sure I will never purchase a vehicle from or none of my friends or family

Referred to Trading Standards

I’ve reported my recent dealings with Saxtons to Citizens Advice, and the matter has been referred to Trading Standards. Based on how a straightforward pricing transparency issue has been handled, I’d advise anyone considering buying here to be cautious.

I raised this formally and requested a refund, but Saxtons’ response has been to argue technicalities rather than acknowledge the lack of clear disclosure or resolve it fairly.

My wife and I purchased a Mercedes from…

My wife and I purchased a Mercedes from Saxon 4x4 in October 24, the car was perfect for us and we love it.
UNFORTUNATELY that’s where the pleasure ends.
The customer service from them is the worst I’ve ever come across. Do not trust anything they tell you unless you record it for future correspondence, they lie, they tell you what you need to hear and then deny ever saying it. They said they investigated my complaint, they didn’t, they just spoke to each other and rejected it, I had another investigator ring me ( customer service ), they were meant to supply me a certain type of cable for charging, this was in the very first phone conversation, they sent it last month by which time I’d paid £1000 for one to be fitted.
Our disagreement was to do with new tyres, every time we spoke or emailed it was described as a miscommunication, this is a lie, it was exactly as I said it was. I dealt with four members of staff and they all denied everything.
BE WARNED, if you want a merc go to a Mercedes dealership, if you want a BMW go the a bmw dealership etc. All Saxon 4x4 want is your money and once they have it you might as well give up as you won’t get good customer service if there’s a problem.
Do not trust them, I even offered to pay for half of the issue I had with the tyres, costing me £500 but they refused.
We spent over £45000 on a great car with them, but believe me when I say this, never again.
If anyone wants to contact me for more information on them please do on

Sastom 4x4 (Chelmsford) is the WORST…

Sastom 4x4 (Chelmsford) is the WORST dealership you could buy from.
The lies begin on day one: when I purchased my car, they took my details, logged into Trustpilot themselves, and posted a fake positive review under my name. I never wrote it, never authorized it. That alone proves they manipulate reviews to deceive customers.

They sold me a car supposedly “100% inspected.” Total LIE. Within a week, problems started showing up. In less than 9 months, the car has been back to the garage 7 times, and they never fixed the real issue. Their strategy is to delay and make excuses until the warranty runs out, just so they don’t have to pay.

In the end, I had to take it to BMW myself, paying £200 for the inspection. BMW immediately found the exact problem Sastom 4x4 kept denying. And the repair? £2,850. That’s why they never fixed it: because they knew how much it would cost and refused to take responsibility.

On top of that, they scammed me by charging £600 for a “ceramic coating” the car already had from the previous owner. Pure fraud. Their managers are completely useless: no compensation for the problems, the stress, the wasted time, the fuel costs (I live 1.5 hours away) — nothing.

I’ve bought cars from other dealerships, and the only time I had a problem, they sent me straight to Mercedes and paid for everything. That is what a serious company does. Sastom4x4 is the opposite: a dishonest, two-faced business that scams and abuses its customers.

⚠️ Clear warning: Do not risk buying here. Don’t believe their “100% inspected” claim. Don’t fall for their fake reviews or their empty warranty promises. Buying here is throwing away money, time, and peace of mind.

👉 I will NEVER buy from them again, and I strongly warn others to stay far away..

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS…

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GARAGE!!!!!!!!!!

After purchasing a Range Rover sport from saxtons and also the top warranty, I have had the worst experience of owning a vehicle in my life.

Major problems with my Range Rover and been without a car for 3 months finding out problem after problem. Also having my son in the car losing all breaks and power while on a motorway.

Vehicle has previously been in an accident with major components missing bolts and brackets hanging off causing catastrophic damage. The warranty doesn’t cover anything and after checking saxtons so called 200 point checks. I have found out that none of what they checked was signed or dated so probably just printed off. Also over 1500 miles on the car since date of checks and me purchasing the vehicle to be told that’s test drive mileage.

Saxtons not willing to help, contribute or even reply after all the evidence given. They have used every excuse under the sun.

Please please everyone if your buying from these scam artists walk away !!! But If you have already been sucked in and brought from these, check your paper work check there are dates and signatures.

If anyone needs information get in touch I have evidence and photos including , Land Rover specialists reports stating they have never seen such a new car with so much wrong with it.

We had very good experience from Luke R@ Saxon4+4

I would like to express the great service I received from Luke R during my recent purchase of a Range Rover.
Luke's professionalism, extensive knowledge of the Range Rover models were evident. The car drives like a dream even with the horrendous fuel consumption which was to be expected.

Avoid

Very important! If you’re not lucky enough to get a car without issues, don’t expect much support. They are ignoring the emails, avoid calls, and always ‘away from their desks.’ Their customer service is truly disappointing, and it feels like customer satisfaction is no longer a priority for them. I would strongly suggest thinking carefully before buying a car from them, or you might find yourself frustrated and struggling to get the assistance you deserve—or even having to escalate matters with your bank to fight for your rights. (See other reviews regarding the problematic cars they’ve sold)

Would NOT recommend - awful customer service!!

Would NOT recommend! Sold us a car that had a crack in the windscreen, was not there when we test drove it and I noticed it as soon as I drove off the premises.. I called to inform them to which they said they would book it in for a repair, after 3 weeks of chasing they told us they would not fix it as it would pass an MOT!! Noticed several other errors with the car since when it should’ve gone under vigours checks. Terrible customer service!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GARAGE

Well where do I start, I was looking for a weekend car and always wanted a V8, I found a nice Ford Mustang at Saxon 4x4 through Autotrader. I asked the sales person to do me a video and it looked OK. Decided to buy the car, but once I signed the finance documents it has been me doing all the chasing. I was chasing for a collection date and then after sales (customer services) when I identified issues with the car.

After 2 days I noticed a few problems, the heating was not working correctly (drivers side) and I could see that the car was completely covered in PPF (Paint Protection Film). The PPF was creased around the boot area which looks unsightly, YES, I never noticed this on purchasing the car, but it was not pointed out to me by the sales person that the car was covered in PPF.

Now, this is where it got very frustrating, trying to make contact and getting the faults rectified has been the worse experience in my life. I was sent to a backstreet garage (local to me) to look at the problem, they identified a heating motor problem and fixed it, however, they would not give me my car back until a payment was made. I instructed them to speak to Saxon 4x4, but they had no joy and I was left paying the bill so I could get my car back.

Saxon 4x4 are not interested in sorting the PPF as it is cosmetic - it is up to me to sort as it is 'sold as see'. However, I was not told that it was completely covered in PPF, otherwise I would of checked for creasing/lifting. What an attitude to take, great customer service - but that is Saxon 4x4 Chelmsford.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS GARAGE, once they have done the sale, they are not interested, I am currently taking legal advice and thinking of handing the car back.

I have been buying cars for 35 years, and this has been the worse experience in my lifetime when purchasing cars.

Excellent Customer Service from Sam

Came in looking for a blue M2 advertised on auto trader. Dealt with one of the new salesman Sam who was really helpful. He located the car for us as it was our back in ‘Prep’ and had a good chat about the car.

It was refreshing to actually deal with a car salesman who ACTUALLY understands and appreciates car enthusiasts as he is one himself. Most of the time a salesman will chat absolute rubbish to you. it would have made the process much easier dealing with Sam.

Unfortunately the car wasn’t actually for me in the end as I overlooked the ad specifying it was a DCT box rather than a manual. Never the less, couldn’t fault the experience

I have recently brought a Discovery Sport from this dealer. Konrad assisted me with the purchase, he was very professional and helpful. Everyone was very welcoming and more than happy to help. I would highly recommend Saxtons, and will definitely be seeing Konrad in few years to upgrade.

Avoid like the plague!

If you are looking for someone to help you, understand your needs and find you the perfect car these are not the guys for you. All they are bothered about is getting you into the show room and to flog you the best of what they've got even if it doesn't suit you. Its all about the sale and not about the service. Their customer service is DIRE from the start, don't waste your valuable time with these guys!

Dealt with Antonio & Mimhaj in November 2021 to part exchange my Alfa Romeo for a much newer Audi Q5, I didn’t have all the service/MOT history but they helped us so much and even refused to take a retention fee for our vehicle. Everything ran smoothly and was extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend every time.
