Avoid like the plague!
If you are looking for someone to help you, understand your needs and find you the perfect car these are not the guys for you. All they are bothered about is getting you into the show room and to flog you the best of what they've got even if it doesn't suit you. Its all about the sale and not about the service. Their customer service is DIRE from the start, don't waste your valuable time with these guys!

Car was in a crash ,only found out when I was selling it , because of there checks, the paint on the bonnet was thicker than else where on the Range Rover = change of bonnet because of repairs. Never drove normally from the get go , shuddered at 70 mph , dangerous.

Dealt with Antonio & Mimhaj in November 2021 to part exchange my Alfa Romeo for a much newer Audi Q5, I didn’t have all the service/MOT history but they helped us so much and even refused to take a retention fee for our vehicle. Everything ran smoothly and was extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend every time.

Seems a big company but frankly…
Seems a big company but frankly am just totally underwhelmed by the customer focus or responsiveness. I saw a car today, rang them at 10am (Hanna) to find out its service history and how many owners etc..with a view to possibly visiting tomorrow..No response despite promise of email..contact them at 2pm, explain again, promised response, (told Matt working on it.) Nothing, at 4.20 I contact again,(cannot recall name but on their direct chatline) and am again promised a response. I beg for by 6pm. Again NOTHING... How hard can it be to get basic info about a vehicle. It's £35/-!!! Not peanuts..) I have no idea who owns or manages this firm but they should get a grip.. Richard Robinson, Taunton
POST SCRIPT: Went to Chelmsford to see car, didn't buy it but actually Matt was outstanding and I was met with courtesy and kindness from the moment I walked in...redeemed in my book..thanks everyone.
I brought a car from Saxon last August
I brought a car from Saxon last August, and since then have been trying to get the spare key from them which was part of the purchase. I have called, emailed , messaged the salesperson several times with no response. When I phone no one returns my call. I am so fed up that I have decided to report on here. The Branch was in Chelmsford. Such a shame because what should of been an exciting experience for me has left me fed up and frustrated.
Thank you Thom
I went in just for a look around and ended up with a new car, great service.
Thanks Thom for helping me pick.
Great service from Thom

Dealt with Tarik.... Nice guy, no hard sell and a friendly service.
Trust me - you are taking a risk dealing with this Company
I arranged in advance to test drive a Range Rover Sport at Saxon yesterday. After a long wait, as they could not find the car, I was presented with a car that looked like it had been lived in by a large dog recently, with scratches, dents, ill fitting trim & a flat battery. Needless to say I passed on this vehicle ( their salesman, Maf, explained that they could "fix" all of this if I was to buy the car as they could work miracles on this type of stuff). I should have had more sense at this point. This morning I saw another car on their website & put a holding deposit on it, The money was taken on my credit card & a receipt received stating this was now "reserved & no one else can get their hands on it" their words, not mine - until a rather indignant Maf called me this afternoon, presumably as he might not get any commission on this sale, to say the car had been sold to someone else !! If you trawl the internet you will find that Saxon have previously been prosecuted for misrepresenting vehicles in the past so deal with these people at your risk. You have been warned.. p.s. lets see how quickly they refund my deposit money........ I will not be holdng my breath.

Interesting response from a 1st…
Interesting response from a 1st enquiry. I enquired online about a Volvo XC90 T8 Hybrid and put in an older XC60 Part ex details.
Had a call back in 5 minutes from a receptionist whose first question was: Are you financing? So nice quick response but interesting relevance to finance first. If the question was can you afford the car you are asking about so you don't waste our time - the answer would have been most definately yes. But I suppose that would have been rude. Very polite though.
Put me through to a sales guy called Abdul. First question are you financing? Catching on quickly I replied I have not decided and does it make any difference?. I then asked about the part ex and Abdul looked it up and made an offer on my older XC60, high mileage so worth not a lot. No issue, not relvant to purchase so I said I would ebay it.
Onto questions about the car. I asked: Have you actually seen it? Answer - no I am looking at photos of it. So was I. And then the first tirade of: we sell 1000 cars and have sold 100 so far blah blah and it's over in another compound. Thats great. Do you want to sell me this one. So next question: How much tread is on the tyres? Got a long explanation that the legal tread in England is 1.6 mm - really? and the Saxon team only sell a car if its got at least 3 mm tread - so its got a lot more than 3 mm tread (how do you know?) but I would have to check. So actual answer - I have no clue how much tread is left on the tyres. My next question - Does it come with full Volvo history - answer from Abdul - we service the cars before they go out and put on a fresh MOT. So question again- does it come with a Volvo History - answer I will have to go and check can you hold - no issue. Answer back: I can't find any history but it may be in the car. And then an offer from Abdul to take a video of the car and the tyres - very helpful. But I am no better off knowledge wise from contacting Saxton than I was looking at their ebay ad. I then said well do you want to come back to me with answers to the basic questions I have asked? and this was obviously a push too far for Abdul. The answer was if you let me do my job I will get the answers you need (not exactly rocket science questions or are they?) and conversation finished and phone down.
Lots of explanations of why Saxon are so fantatstic but no interest in me - the buyer - well apart from the one finance question - why I wanted the car? would I consider another alternative? did I really want that colour or would Red be OK? Is that mileage OK or would I consider paying a bit more for a lower mileage car? How quickly did I want the car? Would I like to come up and see it in the metal observing Covid rules? These are pretty basic questions I would have thought, I have never sold a car but I have bought enough.
I have the feeling Saxon think they are so amazing there is a lack of care somwhere and whether thats with the sales or the cars - who knows. But the impression is just wrong for a high profile (which they like to tell you they are) dealership. I know remote selling must be harder but then surely then you put more effort in. Every one is in the same boat at the moment.
So pretty disappointed really. Anyone want to sell me a T8 XC90?
Very impressed on many levels
Very impressed on many levels. Great customer service from Konrad, who went miles beyond what I’d expect in helping me find the right car. Great guy. Many thanks.
