Dishonest.Bought a RPI5 online that said was in stock. Paid additional for express postage.

Was sent an email saying item wouldn't even get to their warehouse for a week. When I checked my order on my account in their store it actually now was 2 weeks before it even hit their warehouse, no other notification sent to me about this, I stumbled on it.

Why would I pay for express postage for an item I think was in stock to only recieve it 2+ weeks later.

When I tried to post this quesiton on their website in the Q&A on the RPI5 8gb page, I got an email saying it had been moderated.

Dishonest practice of showing stock is there when they don't have it to send, then ontop of that taking additional payment for express postage that is redundant.

It STILL shows it in stock on site when it clearly isn't.

Pay the extra $10 and pick it up from your local Jaycar.

Check out the images to see how sneaky this practice is, get your money then make you wait. 1) Website displaying "In Stock" 2) Email saying delayed 3) Checking my account on their site, it is pushed back a further week with no updated notification 4) Tried to ask a question on the Q&A and it was "moderated"

I cant leave a review either as I haven't received it, explains why there are no other bad reviews on there.

False advertising, have requested refund. Will not use again.

Worst customer service.

Sold my staff a damaged motherboard with loose pins. Faulty from first use.
When returned, the Warranty Manager Matan rejected the claim. His reasoning? The board now had more loose pins after the CPU was installed.
It was already broken, Matan. What difference does it make?
I'm a network engineer. I've installed tens of thousands of servers and CPUs over 25 years. But sure, Matan tell me I don't know how to seat a processor.
Clueless. Arrogant. No evidence. No inspection report. Just excuses to avoid accountability.
If Matan is the face of Scorptec's warranty process, good luck getting support when things go wrong.

$189 is nothing. The principle is everything. Avoid.

RA 248198 (In Progress)

RA 248198 (In Progress)
My PC was working just fine, I was patting the dog, when it shut down, i saw it out of the corner of my eye, and said to my wife "i wonder why the PC just shut down" or something very similar. i later went to turn it back on, and 'no power'! i had my old PSU so tested with that, and still the same issue. so assuming it was the motherboard, i went and bought MB/memory and CPU. tonight, I wanted to see if I can backup my RAID 0, but it was tied to the faulty motherboard, strix itx z390. turns out i had a spare one of those laying around, so was going to plug in the two drives and see if i can recover a few folders that were empty after being backed up. so i plug in my old PSU and it's not working, which was very odd as it was working when i tested it the other day. when i plugged in the CPU part of the plug, the PSU test still worked, when i plugged in the 24 pin as well, the PSU stopped working! so i tested with the old cable, and old PSU, and it worked! *now i have to return that MB/memory and CPU. so, the cable to the motherboard, is faulty, not only that, the PSU is completely dead. it doesn't have a PSU self test button, but apparently the fan should spin up when it gets power to it, this is not happening. tl;dr, given this major fault, i am requesting a refund, and i'm going to just use my old 650W Corsair RM650i.

"Our goods come with guarantees to our customer that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure."

===

I think the point I'm making, is that I gave the money to you, and not the vendor, ACL would state the refund comes from you. Please provide a full refund at your earliest convenience, as you have already determined the item has a major fault.

===

Please escalate this for a refund now

Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), the responsibility for providing a remedy (refund, replacement, or repair) lies with the retailer who sold you the product, not the manufacturer.

The retailer cannot tell you to deal directly with the manufacturer—that’s illegal under ACL. They must offer a solution if the product fails to meet consumer guarantees (acceptable quality, fit for purpose, etc.)

You can also claim compensation from the manufacturer in some cases, but your primary right for a refund or replacement is against the supplier (Scorptec), because they sold you the PSU. [consumer.vic.gov.au]

If the fault is major (unsafe, doesn’t work as intended, or would not have been purchased if the issue was known), you can choose a refund or replacement from the retailer. [consumerpr....wa.gov.au]

So in short: Scorptec must refund or replace the PSU. They can later seek reimbursement from Lian Li, but that’s between them and the vendor—not MY responsibility.

God awful price for what I got

God awful price for what I got. Not even a day in and the system keeps crashing. Not even a decent video card, can just run 1080p at best and paid $2000. Ridiculous. And the fact you can’t even write a review on their website is just scandalous, so they can’t even receive feedback. Can’t even find a way to get in contact with them about a refund

Atrocious warrantee service

I purchased a laptop from Scorptec about two months ago and noticed that there was an issue with it right away. The laptop would randomly go to a black screen and restart itself multiple times throughout a single use session. I returned the laptop to Scorptec for their technicians to look at and after about a week, they gave it back to me saying that they couldn't find a hardware fault and to do a full factory reset. I performed tha factory reset and basically immediately noticed that the restarting issue was still there, so I returned the laptop for a second time. As of writing this review, it has been more than a month since I returned the laptop for the second time and the laptop has been at Scorptec's repair centre for longer than I have physically owned it. From what I can tell, Scorptec seems either unwilling or unable to issue a refund or replacement unless their technicians can personally replicate the fault, even if the multiple instances of the laptop spontaneously restarting should be clearly visible in the device's error logs. I had to go to ASUS to ask them about the status of the repair after I found out the laptop had been sent to them and was surprised to find in their repair report that the the issue listed was an "intermittent screen flicker", which was decidedly not what I reported to Scorptec. Trying to call Scorptec to get updates has also been basically impossible since the call is either disconnected 80% of the time due to the "high volume of calls", or it goes through to some call centre where the employees are unable to answer basic questions. If you are ever considering purchasing something from Scorptec, you had better hope that there's nothing wrong with it, because I can guarantee you that you'll have more fun pulling out all your teeth than trying to get a working copy of a product that you paid for.

Hopeless

Spent $2600 with them, plugged the PC in, played a game for half hour everything seemed fine then all of a sudden the monitor goes into standby a few min after start up every single time. Tried everything. Even tried a different monitor all together. Turns out it was a faulty GPU. Had to send it back. Finally got it back and working however when they put the PC together they foolishly aligned the back casing wrong and you can’t plug any USB in without really bending it in. PATHETIC customer service and terrible build of a PC. 👎

Disappointing Customer Service Experience

I recently spent approximately $7,000 on components for a new server build from Scorptec. Unfortunately, the motherboard I received (ASRock X870E Taichi Lite) had a defective SATA controller that caused repeated link resets and communication errors with connected drives. The affected controller experienced constant PHY resets, accumulated over 200 UDMA CRC errors, and resulted in system instability.

After extensive troubleshooting and purchasing an additional PCIe SATA card to isolate and work around the issue, I was able to confirm the motherboard fault.

When I contacted Scorptec with documentary evidence of the problem, I was told they would not process a refund without physically returning the motherboard. While I understand this is their standard policy, I explained that disassembling the system again after the significant time investment in building and troubleshooting wasn't practical, particularly given that the defective component represents a relatively small percentage of my total spend with them.

Despite providing clear evidence of the fault and my circumstances, Scorptec was unwilling to make any exception to their policy. The lack of flexibility on a substantial order, especially when a workaround has already required additional expense, is disappointing.

I won't be purchasing from Scorptec again and would encourage others to consider retailers with more accommodating customer service policies for high-value orders.

Great service

Always delivered quickly and on time. Their after sales and tech support have gone above and beyond when my ram was faulty.

Absolutely Terrible Experience

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Avoid Scorptec!

I’m honestly furious with how Scorptec handled my order. The product I received came broken straight out of the box, and that was just the start of the nightmare.

When I contacted them for an RMA, they told me to bring it in-store so they could handle it there. Fine — I made the trip. But once I got there, they suddenly told me I’d have to come back later because it couldn’t be processed on the spot.

I waited FOUR WEEKS for the so-called “repair” or replacement, only to find out that it was “ready for pickup” instead of being delivered like I had originally selected. When I asked them to change it to delivery, they tried to charge me extra — even though I had chosen delivery for the return process in the first place!

By this point, I’d completely lost confidence in them and just wanted a refund so I could take my business elsewhere. Of course, that was denied too.

So not only did I receive a faulty product, but I also had to deal with weeks of waiting, poor communication, extra costs, and zero accountability. Scorptec clearly doesn’t care about customer satisfaction — once they’ve got your money, you’re on your own.

Never buying from them again. I’ll be going to another retailer that actually respects their customers.

STAY AWAY - DONT TRUST THESE GUYS.

They delivered a new system and it didn't work. I sent the mainboard, cpu and ram to a local shop to test as i didnt have spares for all parts to be tested and the local shop said nothing worked.

I later found out that the ram was the problem. Purchased a new stick of ram showed them via a video that when i replace there ram with mine it works but they still refuse to supply a refund and want me to pay a restocking fee as they said when tested it worked. But they have no proof of said testing.

This service is the number 1 reason you stay away from someone. When everything goes correctly it is NOT when you judge someone. Its when something goes wrong will they help.

Scorptec have been very rude and unhelpful.

I am taking the matter further. Anyone who wants to jump in on a class action law suit let me know.

Scorptec support is impossible to get a response from. Bought a prebuilt gaming PC, it was sent with multiple components not installed in a seperate box. Tried calling multiple times a day for a whole week. Now have to pay another business to install the components. Don't risk buying from their online store.

Avoid this site, they pulling crap before you even purchase.

When you look at an item they claim you can get free shipping if you just spend a bit more , but when get the required amount for free shipping it always, always comes up with some reason you now cant get free shipping. This is clearly set up to screw people into wasting their time deciding on a purchase and once they make their decision forcing them to pay expensive postage when they though it would be free, Its clearly a con. It wastes your time and expects you to just pay the postage because you spent your time researching and deciding to buy a product you originally wasn't going to buy.

Bad service, delayed delivery.

Poor service. They won't track order , they won't respond, nor do they seem to care about customer either. I have not received the order even now after 17days. And raised that mid last week only to hear today after 6 days that they can't give update until the end of this week. They won't even refund until then.
