USELESS, DO NOT BUY WITH SCORPTEC!

DO NOT BUY with Scorptec!! I bought a 2 MSI G272CQT 27cm monitors on 10/6/23 in Silverwater store but 1 monitor was flickering randomly and only reported it broken 3 weeks from purchased!

I was disappointed when I tried to have it replaced as they refrained to do it. A loan device also was not suggested while fixing it. Most of the staff especially their manager has no compassion. She advised that exchange is not acceptable and refund is allowed but 15% will be deducted.

I can’t leave the monitor as the reason I bought it was to use it for financial year end which is next week!!

The outcome was very stressful! My only option is to sort the issue out directly with MSI! Scorptec passed on the responsibility to me!!! Totally useless!! I will definitely submit a complaint with ACC!

Horrible after-sales support

I purchased a number of components from Scorptec in order to build a PC (totaling thousands of dollars). Within a month the motherboard died and would not post, MSI's BIOS Flashback utility would not remedy the issue, and the motherboard is clearly dead.

I sent the motherboard back to Scorptec and was told that the lead time for a warranty claim would be 2-4 weeks for an issue that takes all of 15 minutes to diagnose. When I responded that this lead time was unacceptable the customer service rep continued to claim that it would still be a 2-4 week turnaround.

Scorptec has already confirmed to me that they have tested the motherboard and indeed confirmed that it has a major fault, but is delaying refunding or replacing the motherboard due to "logistics and the need for testing".

If the board is already tested and confirmed to have a major issue, just replace or refund the broken thing. It's not rocket science.

Last time I purchase anything or recommend Scorptec to anybody.

i talked to bill on the phone and he told me that i should try turning it on and off again!

this must be some sort of a joke, do not take your money anywhere near these guys!!!

YOUR PRODUCT(PSU) IS OVERHEATING AND COULD CATCH ON FIRE OR EXPLODE.

Warranty is the measure of any PC store as that is one of the few real services they can provide and by far the most important. Notice how many warranty complaint are here? YEH if you've come here after you bought the product bad luck welcome to the boat. If you've come here before purchasing, CONGRATULATIONS.

Even when the company who makes the product tells you to get a refund because.... YOUR PRODUCT(PSU) IS OVERHEATING AND COULD CATCH ON FIRE OR EXPLODE.

The support from scorptec is nonexistent except for making you jump through hoops. You'd think my issue would be top priority. It isn't, they don't care. So if you think... oh don't worry It'll be alright if I order... I'm special. THINK AGAIN... REALITY CHECK you're just another dirt customer to them.

I'm still using the product I smell a burning smell from the PC. I have no choice.

Website hacked! I would advise not purchasing anything…

I would advise not purchasing anything from the Scorptec website, it has been compromised, and all of the customer data is being used by cybercriminals in phishing campaigns to steal your credit card information. I have informed Scorptec of this issue, but they refuse to recognise that their systems have, in fact, been hacked. Not even an email to customers informing them of the phishing emails and to be on the lookout. Do not register an account or purchase any products from them.

Avoid ! Avoid ! Avoid !

Avoid ! All the bad reviews are true. After Sales report is not existent. They continue to refuse to replace 2.5k device which was DOA, instead giving me the run-around, trying to deflect to manufacturer etc.

Scorptec is a scam website! Don’t flush your money!

Scorptec. Is a scam site. They are happy to take your money but You will never receive the goods!
I placed an order for a $2800 monitor in Dec22. It was sent to the Startrack warehouse about 52kms away from the delivery address. When i was home when the delivery was supposed to have taken place. They then gave the item to someone else and told me it would be resent to my actual address. Long story short. 4 calls to support and 3 months later without a word from them! Still no monitor. Absolute scam. Don’t trust them!!

I ordered parts for 2 PCs on this date

I ordered parts for 2 PCs on this date. 21st December all showed up on time, every part was packed well, postage was good, both PCs went together perfect, no issues at all, both started first go no beep codes, VERY HAPPY with Scorptec customer service and delivery times, quality shop, very trustworthy.

Good Aussie retailer

Easy to navigate website. Good prices. Fast delivery.

I can't seem to figure out how to use Afterpay though.

Replacement refused. Refused to collect damaged item.

Definitely avoid this retailer. Ordered a monitor from Scorptec. It arrived totally destroyed and with a cracked and bent screen. After several frustrating calls and explicitly saying my choice was to have a replacement sent and that I needed them to cover the cost of returning/disposing of the damaged unit, they refused, forced a refund and stated they would not pay for the damaged item to be returned or disposed of (I don't have a free council e-waste pick-up option and don't live within walking distance of an e-waste depot).

Public Warning "Scorptec"

Public Warning : In 22 Years I have not experienced this level of incompetency from any Business within this Nation. If you are unfortunate enough to purchase from this business [Scorptec] should your purchase require any means of After Sales care- it is non-existent.

They will take an accusatory stance and behave as if your most basic Consumer Rights and time are absolutly irrelevant.

Mangement is a young employee who is willfully igorant of Australian Consumer Law and of Australian Consumer Rights. A Governing body must intervene and have this business held accountable.

When approached- you will be met with arrogance, ignorance and denial. The incompetence on display is unlike anything I have ever encountered.
A Managment Staffer the is the cause of the endless list of persons you read here- who "reviews' reflect the very same experiences I have endured having to deal with this utterly disgraceful businness.

I cannot stress enough- Go elsewhere.
Avoid at all costs!

This is an unethical and untrustworthy Business

A simple return process absorbed over 7.3 months of time. I had engage Private Consumer Protection Lawyers.

Only at the very end of direct Legal Notice, after 60 mins of listening; did this disgraceful character ahdere to Australian Consumer Law.

There are other avenues to obtain products from a Online retailer that will not exploit and disregard your time and basic Consumer Rights. Make no mistake- this is the "real deal" when it comes to unethical business. They do not adhere to any Australian Consumer Laws or frameworks- and erronously believe Consumer are without Rights.

This is the most regretful interaction with a Business in the Nation of Australian that I have have ever experienced. Period.

WORST delivery experience followed by customer service ever

I ordered 4 screens from Scorptec as they were out of stock with many other stores.

I chased up the order 2 weeks later as I paid for express delivery and had still not received my goods.

They informed me that they had attempted delivery and failed. Not sure whether they had, but they had failed to tell me. They told me that I had to pay for a redlivery or I could cancel the order.

I told them to cancel the order and they said they could only process the refund once the goods had been returned. Despite being upset about this, I agreed. 2 weeks later again I chased up my refund. They then must have rung the courier and delivered the goods which I no longer wanted because I had ordered them elsewhere.

Luckily I had rung my credit card company to tell them I hadn't received the goods a week earlier. Over a month for delivery, closing my ticket so I couldn't talk to anyone about it.

COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. DO NOT BUY FROM SCORPTECT!!

A 5 star 4 star experience in the end.

Honestly I wanted to give 5 stars here- and would have if I dealt with Arthur and the Receivables team the whole time. Unfortunately there was a large back and forth period and a large period with no response that let me down before I got onto Arthur. Arthur's end of this was 5 star. Receivables end of this was 5 star. Prior to that was a 2-3 star experience. Thus; a 5 star 4 star experience.

Arthur genuinely saved this shopping visit for me- he side by sided me during the issue, he helped problem solve, organised returns and replacements, then the receivables team were EXCEPTIONALLY quick on the uptake when the product was completely unsuitable.

In the end- this actually turned out to be a better-than-good experience. I do hate that I can only give it four stars due to the "Pre-Arthur" and "Pre-Receivables" experience. However without those two factors this would have been a two star review.

Thank you for getting onto this, thank you for figuring it all out.

The computer itself works great (I grabbed the 1500 prebuilt) and the mount (double mount desk clamp) is sturdy, secure and does the job of holding two curved screen 28 inch Samsungs.

All in all- this ended really, really well. Thanks so much for your detailed attention Arthur. You saved this for me.

Woeful aftersale support

Woeful aftersale support. I’ve been waiting over two months for something to be replaced on warranty and it still hasn’t been resolved. I appreciate that there are issues with global supplies but that shouldn't stop effective communication or a sincere effort to try and help customers. You call their support line and it just hangs up after you are on hold for a while. Finally got through to talk to someone and they told me they would call me back to help resolve the issue, never heard back from them. Just tried to call again… no one answered.

Disgraceful after sales service

Disgraceful after sales service. Service team were extremely argumentative about whether the computer was purchased through Scorptec when it absolutely was! Not only that but their service team don't answer the phone. You sit on hold for 5 minutes and then they cut the call off!

Mis-matched serial numbers!

Laptop needed to be returned for faulty hard drive. Tried calling 9 times with no answer. Eventually claim was refused because the serial numbers didn't match with what they had on file on the one they supplied me. Laptop had never been anywhere for repair etc. Somehow this is my problem because of a obvious administration error. Disgusting after sales service.

Paid for a laptop that they can never seem to ship

I am beyond exhausted with Scorptec - their total lack of Customer Support and correspondence, and absolutely no updates or information for customers in advance.

I purchased this laptop online during the EOFY sales in June. When I bought it, it was listed as [IN STOCK] and stayed on this status for quite some time. June ends, and suddenly I get an email weeks later advising me that the ETA is pushed back to 19 July. I didn't complain, a small delay made sense and I bought this laptop so I could kill time while recovering from a major knee surgery as I wouldn't be able to leave the house for quite a while and coincidentally, surgery was scheduled 19th July too!

So I wait and on the 4th July they issue an email that again confirms delivery will be 19 July. Cool.
Lo and behold, it's the 20th of July and I suddenly get an email saying ETA is pushed back to the 30th of August??? That's crap customer service.
Where was the notification of this in advance? Instead I only get updated a day after the first delayed ETA date has passed. And now it's even more delayed - over 2 months from the initial purchase date!
With no reasons explaining why it's delayed, no offers of compensation either.
I would love to do a refund and buy this elsewhere, but now all other suppliers are selling it for a significantly higher (RRP) price and my window of my money going to a more deserving supplier is well past. I should never have stuck around with Scorptec or even chosen to purchase from them from the start. It was my first time buying from them when I previously got most of my gear from Centrecom and I regret ever giving them this chance to steal my money and do the bare minimum in customer service.
I will never buy from them again.
If I don't get appropriate follow up or compensation for the inconvenience and misinformation in shipping time/stock availability, I will be filing complaints with the relevant ombudsman bodies and pursuing a complete chargeback from my credit provider.

I have bought a lot from Scorptec

I have bought a custom PC, 2 monitors, mouse, keyboard and a little more from Scorptec. Their customer service is great, answered all my questions and worries about my build. I’ve had my pc for 2-3 years and it’s done amazing, no issues at all. Same with everything I buy from there.

I’m a very anxious person when it comes to big purchases but I feel quite relaxed when buying from scorptec as I know it should be a smooth ride. They are quick to respond, do what needs to be done and everything arrives as it should. I’ve never had to return anything so I can’t comment on that process but overall I’ve had a good experience.
