I don’t normally leave bad reviews but…
I don’t normally leave bad reviews but on this occasion I need to in order to gain scs attention. Not a single call back or reply from any emails sent.
I’ve have a sofa on order which was meant to be delivered yesterday. No contact evening before or even day of. Sat around waiting all day. Had taken the day off work and lost wages.
My mum drove to the store in the end to get some answers at 2pm to be told by Paul (stanway store) that my sofa had been picked up 1 hour before my mum had entered the store and it would be definitely delivered by the end of the day.
I then received a call at 4:45 to say that Paul had got it wrong. It was still in the store and no one was able to answer their calls about what had happened.
Not only did Paul mess up by not taking 1 minute to look at the back of the store to check if my sofa had definitely been collected. They have failed to acknowledge any form of responsibility.
I’ve been told I now have to wait till Wednesday. With no idea on a time. And to take another day off of work, on the hope it will be delivered then. Sam (warehouse operator) has booked it without any contact to check that I am available Wednesday.
Cannot get through via phones and the call back system in place, never calls back.
I have sent an email to main scs complaints and also scs CEO. In the hope someone acknowledges me.
I’m now sitting on the floor as old sofa was disposed of on the morning of my said delivery!!
***UPDATE***
Delivery was rescheduled for today Sunday 8th after store admitted their mess up. Delivery was due at at 11:30-12 (time distance between store and my home) and still not arrived. Not even a curtsy call to explain of any delay.
Awful customer service. Can’t even contact anyone to get any form of assistance. Currently on call back via customer service with a wait of 182 mins

Very good at selling the sofa but zero communication since regarding delivery and when you contact SCS all they can tell you is that their ‘internal systems are down’.

Salesman at Tollgate store was polite…
Salesman at Tollgate store was polite and helpful. Didn’t push but was there when we wanted him.
One negative perhaps was a deposit of a third of the purchase price when delivery is three months away.

Had a very good experience with SCS
Had a very good experience with SCS. When we arrived we were made welcome and offered a cup of tea.
There was no hard sell from the staff.
Paul, sat and listened to what we were looking for and was very helpful when we asked questions. Overall a great experience.

Fantastic all round service!
A huge Thank-you to the lovely Shannon who looked after us when we came in today. She greeted us about a couple of minutes after we got in (didn't jump straight in, which was brilliant) and then listened as we told her what we were looking for. We chose what we wanted and Shannon took us through the process without any issues or problems. Friendly, polite, easy to talk to and all round, a pleasurable experience. We are normally DFS customers but have now converted. We look forward to the delivery of our new sofas in the new year.
Thank you Shannon, you are a credit to your trade and company.
I spent 27 years in retail and this young lady know her stuff and exactly how to put her customers at ease.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Craig, very friendly and helpful. We explained what we were after and he pointed us in the right direction. Having spent ages looking round other retailers, we found what we wanted in a very short time. Deposit paid and ordered there and then. Weren't felt under any pressure to buy. 5* service provided.

The delivery drivers Simon and chris did a solid job. Main store told them ground floor even though I said 2nd but they got it done quick.

last shop of the day, so glad we went
We had been to several stores looking for a sofabed. ScS was our last call for the day. The store is clean and well set out. The staff were very helpful without being pushy. We were shown around the store (Tollgate Colchester) by Paul who was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
