The service in-store when selecting my sofa was excellent, but my issue was with the aftersale.
On Good Friday I received a call from the store informing me that there had been a miscalculation and that I owed another £5 on my deposit.I am not prepared to give out my card details over the phone if I am not sure who I am speaking to. I returned to the store the following day to make the £5 payment.
For such a nominal amount why don't you just add it to the final payment before sofa delivery.
For that reason only 4 Stars.

I had a lovely experience visiting your shop in Croydon, the staff were very professional, supportive and knowledgeable in there job. They gave a very good advice and the delivery time frame which was very important. Your sofas are elegant, beautiful and very stylish. I just love being in the shop. I went with family to view a sofa and we met with a member of staff name Peter. He was very knowledgeable and friendly in showing us the best sofa for our budget. He was very patient and kind helping us around to pick the right sofa which in the end we got what we wanted. I highly recommend Peter in helping you to choose the right sofa you need at Poltronesofa in Purley Way Croydon.

Jerry was an excellent sales advisor. He was kind, polite, patient and very knowledgable - helping refine what we were looking for and ultimately making the decision an easy one. The company’s range is enormous but he made it simple to find the exact criteria we wanted. A huge credit to the business.

We received a very warm welcome from Calvin who made the experience good fun but more importantly, informative. He showed great patience whilst I was hesitant on what I wanted going from one sofa to another. He was very knowledgeable and demonstrated the additions to the sofa. He is a great asset to the company and I can't wait to get my new sofa in June.

We received outstanding customer service from a lovely gentlemen called Jerry. He explained all the options and gave us some invaluable advice and suggestions.

What didn't i like 🤔...
The way the staff member "MO" spoke to me, he had an attitude just because i allowed his work colleagues to help me with buying my item, & im glad i did... its as if i felt his bad ora in my pure space.
Let tell "MO" HELLS NO!
Apart from that i have my purchase & i shall NOT recommend SCS & i shall NOT be shopping there again.
I advise you to run yes RUN to anywhere else.

🐍🐍Order Taken Incorrectly – Double-Check Everything 🐍🐍

Very poor experience with ScS. Despite clearly ordering a Right-Hand Facing sofa, the salesperson at the Croydon store (Micheal) recorded it incorrectly, and a Left-Hand Facing sofa was delivered.

I signed the paperwork in good faith, trusting that a professional had entered my order correctly. The order diagram clearly shows the correct orientation, yet ScS still got it wrong and I got the wrong sofe delivered which doesn't fit my home. After several attempts to resolve this by phone and email, the issue was not handled properly. I am still waiting reply. I will take it to Furniture Ombdusman and Small Claims court.

This is a basic but costly mistake that should never happen on a major purchase.

I would never use SCS again.

**Strong warning to other customers**: do not rely on staff to record your order correctly. Check every detail line-by-line before signing, or you may end up with the wrong product and a stressful dispute to fix it.
