An item I’d been wanting came back in stock after I had already placed an order. I emailed asking to add the item and they quickly responded saying it’s been done. I appreciate how quick they were to catch the order before it shipped and fulfilled my request!

Seelbach’s gave fantastic service
Seelbach’s is the distributor for my favorite distillery. I was concerned about the number of unfavorable reviews. So I reached out to Blake and expressed my concerns. He addressed my concerns by sharing their volume and breakage rate details, rather than trying to minimize my concerns. I took a chance and placed an order. The shipment arrived promptly and in perfect condition. I’m not sure what happened to the folks who’ve described very different experiences in their reviews. But I can tell you my experience was as positive as it could be and I have already placed a second order with them.

THANK YOU! We moved from Chicago to south FL a couple of years ago and I was so shocked by how bourbon allocations would change from one city to another. While I could get almost all allocated bottles in Chicago, there are not many craft or allocated portfolio in FL. For me this gap is now being filled by Seelbach’s. I bought a few bottles right around Christmas time and while processing took a few days, the bottles arrived on time. Packaging was immaculate, my bottles were first bubble wrapped and then put into air filled wraps (see pic). I asked a question yo support and they responded within 30 min and back and forth traffic was within minutes and resolved my concern. The best part of my experience is when I joined their BorbonPro membership. I have been getting early release alerts of their private barrels from dozens of companies, free shipping on orders etc. I received a generic welcome email from Blake ending with “feel free to reach out if you have any questions”. I said yeah right, then, just for kicks, I sent a personalized note to him and a couple of days later, he responded with a personalized note back. Bottom line for me is that this is a great company with a personalized service from generic support team to Blake himself. I would recommend it anyone who loves spirits and want to try new things and grow into spirits culture
Inaccurate product description
I placed an order after seeing an Ad on Facebook for $155 bottle of custom labeled bourbon. I was charged immediately. After two weeks without any change in my order status, I reached out via email only to be told that this was a pre-order item and they should have it in about a week. There was no indication of pre-order when I ordered it. I don’t think I should have been charged yet so I asked them to cancel my order. They did so right away and within a few days I had credit back in my card.
The company needs improvement
This is an online only merchant. There are no methods of contact other than email. The email and ordering system is not automated to the point that it is hands free of employees. Ordering requires little, getting anyone to give an intentional response takes a lot of patience.
I am giving Blake a chance after communicating with him through email.

Inadequate packing material for shipment…
Received bottle of rye from Seelbachs via UPS. Box was dripping whiskey on arrival. Opened soggy box to find inadequate packing and a half full bottle of whiskey. Bottle had rattled around in transit to partially damage cork, with subsequent leakage. Avoid this company at all costs!!

2 weeks after ordering, they finally shipped. I got an email from UPS at the starting location that package was Damaged and they were returning it to Sellbachs. I have NOT received any emails or calls about this. I've emailed many times to Support and Blake. ZERO response. Opened a claim with Visa for chargeback. There is no phone number to contact them and they don't respond. They do like to spam me daily with promos via email & text.

Great communications
Great communications. Speedy delivery. Great experience with my first Seelbachs order. I placed my order on a Saturday evening. As the confirmation flashed by on my screen I noticed a typo I made in an address line. In a bit of a panic I sent a note to their support e-mail address. Sunday morning I had a reply from them in my inbox that they made the correction. My order arrived at my door Wednesday, four days after being placed. They communicated the delivery status at each step of the process. Very impressed with my first transaction with Seelbachs.
Terrible.
Dishonest labeling and product descriptions: they will buy an age statement bourbon, finish and blend it, then claim the age of the bourbon on their label. Also, their signed products with serial and batch numbers are misleading. Seelbach's is not a distillery. You can do what they do at home with finishing spirals... In *one day.*
Steep prices for craft and blended products.
I ordered a single bottle from them. It took two weeks to arrive.
Other online liquor outlets (ReserveBar, Flaviar, Liquor Barn, Nestor Liquor, Country Wine and Spirits) are 1-2 days, 3-4 days at worst to my door.
Their packaging is awful and dangerous. I've spoken to people who have lost bottles because of this poor packaging. When my bottle finally arrived, the box was beaten and I recorded opening it due to this terrible packaging. The only thing protecting my bottle was an egg carton. No bubble wrap. No dividers. Terrible.
0.5/10 Will not buy from them again. Could not NOT recommend Seelbach's more.
Buyer beware
I have ordered from this company 3 times and every time I have had reach out to their customer service department to inquire about late shipments. In each instance I was charged for my orders up front and they had still not been processed 3-4 weeks later. While they have always responded, apologized, and shipped the next day, I shouldn't need to contact them to follow through with their stated shipping policy. Like others, I question whether they are selling product they don't have in stock and purchasing it wholesale after the fact. If this practice isn't illegal, it is certainly unethical. No other vendor I deal with charges my credit card prior to product shipment. To top it off, their shipments are poorly packed and wrapped and I have received damaged shipments. Regrettably, I will not be purchasing from Seelbachs in the future.

Placed on order and was told 5-7 days for shipping then, after 9 days I inquired about the status of my order and was told an additional week for delivery. I cancelled my order and I can't help but wonder if they're selling product they do not have in stock. I will no longer purchase product from Seelbach's.

This company's website doesn't work as it should and orders sometimes go unfulfilled for weeks. The owner is an arrogant whiskey snob that won't take responsibility for deficiencies.

While I doubt they will intentionally defraud anyone, their QC and customer service is so poor that they must often end up doing so unintentionally.
This company has repeatedly failed to pack and ship the correct number of items in orders, and then takes multiple weeks to correct the issue. They are probably decent people, but they need to improve their QC drastically.
I ordered two bottles from them, and only one arrived- despite being charged for shipping on two bottles and the packing slip saying two bottles were in the box. When I emailed to get it corrected the COO demanded that I show a picture of the box to prove only one had arrived. They issued a tracking number almost immediately, but then took 15 days to ship the box. Several of my friends have had similar issues, including one who had to request a charge back on his credit card for a bottle that never arrived.
Their QC and operational oversight are very poor. Their customer service is on par with that.
