Human Recource Behaviour - Sendcloud Eindhoven
A Talent Acquisition Specialist from the location Eindhoven contacted me and scheduled an appointment with me for sollicitation to an intern job.
The recruiter called me up, I had to explain information about myself and my study. The recruiter was interested if I wanted to come working as a worker or internship. A combination was not possible, and a project from study while working is in your own time on your own costs.
I told the recruiter I sollicitated based on my letter which is an internal research, which had nothing to do with the job solicited on or a traineeship.
So I asked if the recruiter read the letter, the recruiter told me the recruiter did not, because the letter was in Dutch. It was due the recruiter told me the recruiter did not translated the letter. I told the recruiter could use Google Translate or ask employees which were from the Dutch Eindhoven based location. The recruiter made an argument the words did not align to the letter if translated with an application like that. I explained translate tools are capable of translating it. I told the recruiter I could translate it for the recruiter and the words would align. The recruiter acted holdback, like this was not possible.
The fact the recruiter didn't took the time translating the letter, which was not neccesairy, due I explained my perspection of possibillies about the study itself. Put the recruiter in a discussion about the recruiter not understanding the letter due neglecting translation.
This resulted in the recruiter making the argument the recruiter felt a mismatch in culture. I told the recruiter culture had nothing to do with it and told the recruiter I recorded the conversation.
The recruiter made the statement making a record is not allowed. I told the recruiter Welcome in Holland where you have to follow the Dutch laws, and in holland we may make recording of confersations you invite me for. After this the recruiter stopped the call.
Until this moment no excuse has been made by Sendcloud about the behavior of their employee.
Used to be great value, a bit less now.
The service works well and I was able to purchase shipping via Fedex for better rates than I could previously. However, as they're opening a local branch in my country, my shipping costs will go up by 22% and I got one month of warning.

Customer support is not existent
Customer support is not existent anymore.
We´ve been a client of Sendcloud for about 5 years. Things started of great and customer support used to be really good.
They now made changes to their API which makes it unusable in combination with AFAS. They do not want to fix this and just tell us to try and find a way around the problem.
Prices increase dramatically every year. Starting september we have a 12.5% price increase.
Sendcloud used to work with dedicated account managers that you can call and will help you with anything. They also shut this down.
Edit 14-10-2025: support is not responding anymore. Their plug-in with our WMS (that they build and maintain) lost functionality and it's now also impossible to send to GLS parcelshops. Technical support has been aware of the problems for over two weeks.

I was so grateful to have found Sendcloud - I had been using native shipping options within Shopify, but using Sendcloud has simplified everything for me. Onboarding with Andy has been great, and I know I'm in safe hands. They've been flexible, I've learned a lot and I'm saving money. Onboarding was brilliant. Couldn't fault a single thing. Keith Barry was excellent. Answers questions brilliantly. knows everything about the platform. without him we would of struggled and gone elsewhere. So helpful. Never felt sold too just the perfect software for our needs. Quotes came back fast. highly recommend. Excited to get started fully now.

Terrible conclusion after years and too many adding costs
Experience: 2 years, many hundreds ships (national and international).The problem (2 stars reason): no more cheap due to a lot of hiden costs (even after the delivery) and time spent (time is money for a o company).

More extensively: Issue not solved in the Last 7months, many hours spent for nothing (about 20-30 hours I Estimate, only for invoicing problems, not for lost or damaged shipping,) taking photos, analysing any step, found informations, produced screenshot and most simple image and explanation possible (with colors and note on the images) of the problems and the points i'm discussing for, proove etc... They started to send useless and repetitive message after a certain time wasting my time e a lot since that moment...
I don't understand the goal of the monthly cost: They write for you(and you have to write a lot too to sendcloud) to the Shipping company but they don't have any relevant for the courier, apparently, no intermediator useful trick, nothing and they prefer to threath you(the customer) instead of the "big company" (the shipping service)that is very disappointing and a bit humiliating.
I don't leave 1 star because I want to consider all the time of the experience that was almost acceptable for an year : The total prices were aceptable (even with all the unsual adding % before and after the shipping) and some late extra costs were refunded (after the tikecet process obviously).
Edit: About the aswer below. I tryed to be short and going direct to the points, I can explain all the story here or add proves etc.... I will only say the answer doesn't change or add anything.
About the open invoice mentioned, to be precise: they are "many" but small (produced after i leaved the service) and they are mainly errors, exact part of the problems explained in the review, I'm also waiting for old refunds that I will never recevie too, but we do not threaten Sendclodu with a suspicious debt collection service.
