Used Seven Seas to ship four boxes from the UK to Melbourne, Australia. It took almost four months door-to-door, but the boxes arrived in good condition. The delivery of the boxes and other packaging materials was professional, with very clear communication and good timelines. A text message with a one hour delivery window was sent, and the delivery driver was right on time. The online portal was excellent in terms of tracking where the ship was. The most frustating part of the process was perparing the necessary documentation for the shipment. They have a specialist team that reviews the documentation and identifies any issues. However, the communication of any problems was very unclear and frustrating - and it took many attempts to get everything right. Despite this, I would trust Seven Seas again to ship my stuff.

The website was incredibly user-friendly and made getting a quote and organizing everything completely seamless. On top of that, the communication was fantastic—every member of the staff I interacted with was highly professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. I highly recommend their services!

I will endeavour to write a balanced review. But ultimately in my opinion an international shipping company should be judged on if your goods are safely transported and in this respect Seven Seas failed us.
We despatched a large MoveCube from Glasgow, Scotland to Adelaide, Australia. The initial communication from Seven Seas was good and they arrived at advertised times and the tracking information of the ship was useful. Our cube took 19 weeks from leaving us in Glasgow to arrival in Adelaide.
All appeared well until a few days before delivery of our MoveCube was due to be delivered to us in Adelaide when I received an email with the following extract:
"I did want to advise you that our depot has informed me that the MoveCube crate itself in which your items travelled, had incurred some damage during its transportation and therefore, to ensure security of the contents to your destination delivery address, the items within the receptacle were transferred to an alternative MoveCube crate. However, during such transfer our staff noted a mirror within your MoveCube has been damaged."
Sure if only a mirror had been broken then fine! One of the reasons we chose Seven Seas was so that we got to pack our own Cube and other than customs in Australia our goods would remain untouched and not packed by others who simply would not have had the same care for our goods.
What arrived was a multitude of damaged items. Ripped mattress, torn couch, multiple broken pictures, damaged dining table, damaged dining bench...the list goes on. And our items were filthy. It very much appeared that they'd been unpacked and repacked in a dirty transport depot.
And when the cube was delivered the driver informed me that he repacked the cube himself. Of course if you are asking one person to move a 75 kilogram dining table by himself then it is going to be damaged. And he couldn't manage to put everything back in the cube so had some items loose in his vehicle.
So how could this cube have managed to come off a ship in Melbourne to be transported presumably by road to Adelaide only need repacked in Adelaide right before delivery but be fine for transport inbetween. Seven Seas have been unable to explain to me what/where/when the damage was sustained. Perhaps they don't know.
But I think that there was significant damage to many items and it was a bit of a heart sink unpacking the items and it was very much like 'yes this has been damaged too...' not the exciting arrival of our goods we anticipated.
I was then passed on to the insurance brokers who deal with Seven Seas who I've had a series of incredibly brief emails with little to no detail of the process. I have had some compensation...however that has been no explanation of how this figure has been reached and it feels a low amount. Put it this way I would much rather our stuff had arrived without the damage incurred.
Based on my experience I don't feel I have any option but to advise you to use a shipping company that uses proper containers to pack your goods as these MoveCubes are essentially just reinforced chipboard and simply not strong enough. That and SevenSeas leaving one person to unpack and repack our cube in a dirty depot. And then add to that the poor communicating insurance broker with no explanation as to how they've reached a compensation figure.

Poor customer service.
It wasn’t clear on their website that they only did personal effects and not shipping for commercial purposes, as everything had said removals AND shipping.
Despite prompt communication on my side, phone calls that eventually were hung up on, I ended up paying a shocking total of over $200 simply to get my items back to me.
Horrible process, no empathy nor understanding from customer service.

I had a very disappointing experience with Seven Seas and would strongly advise others to think twice before using their services.
The company failed to provide adequate guidance on the documentation required for customs clearance. Because of their lack of support and outdated information, we ended up having to pay import duties on our own household belongings—an expense that could likely have been avoided with proper advice.
Communication throughout the process was poor. It was uncoordinated, often came at the very last minute, and the tone was consistently unfriendly rather than helpful. Instead of proactively supporting us through what is already a stressful international move, we constantly had to chase information ourselves.
The most frustrating part was their customer service. When we raised concerns about the poor level of support we had received, the representative simply hung up the phone instead of addressing the issue professionally.
Overall, the experience was stressful, costly, and far below the level of service we expected. I would never use Seven Seas again and would not recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable international shipping company.

Where to begin. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
My experience with Seven Seas Worldwide has been shocking from start to finish. The most unacceptable part was discovering that they entered our MoveCube without our authorization. We trusted that our belongings would remain secure and untouched, so finding out that our shipment had been opened without our permission completely destroyed that trust.
To make matters worse, multiple pieces of artwork were damaged. These weren’t just ordinary items, they were valuable and irreplaceable to us. The lack of care shown in handling our possessions is incredibly disappointing.
Communication throughout the process was poor, and instead of feeling like our belongings were being looked after, we were left stressed and frustrated. When you’re trusting a company with everything you own during an international move, you expect professionalism, respect for your property, and transparency. Unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience.
I would not recommend Seven Seas Worldwide based on what we experienced.
The management is absolutely horrendous. They bad talk their employees, and do not respond when needed.
We had to have our cube delivered back to our home to repack due to terrible advice from multiple staff. They made my husband sign a document saying there a lift in the van when there was not. So there is no accountability at all within the company.
This has been a truly awful experience so far, and made a very stressful situation even worse beyond measure.
UPDATE:
WE DID NOT HAVE ANY REMOVAL, I still have all the food items, as they were shipped back to me. So what did you remove without my consent? I have not received any documents of what was removed. I have not received photos, but I do have broken items now due to your unauthorized entry.
ALSO, I didn’t Demand anything, I was told on record that you had no staff to deliver and the driver was outsourced. Lying is now added to your horrible customer service.
UPDATE 2: I’m confused as to why, without us telling you to go ahead, you opened it up, and removed it when we did not state once that we were going to continue on with the shipment. I was sent an invoice for £200 for removal, and I immediately contacted and said we would have the container back. Why would anyone remove the items without authorization? And break fragile items in the process?

Initial confusion over booking as it was a communication issue..Once booking was organized then it flowed well .At delivery time an email stated that the organisation needed to be contacted & it gave the impression monies were to be paid when the contact was just to confirm delivery.Item was delivered in the one hour window given & the driver was friendly

Absolutely appalling customer service.
We entrusted Seven Seas Worldwide with our family’s belongings during an international move. My original review was never about international shipping being complicated—it was about how the company handled problems once they arose.
When an issue occurred with our shipment, we tried to find a practical solution. We asked whether we could access our belongings ourselves to resolve the issue, but were told this was impossible because the depot was a “secure site”. We experienced inconsistent advice, poor communication, little flexibility, and a company that appeared more interested in defending its position than helping its customer.
Following Seven Seas’ public response, I feel it is important to add some context.
They state they cannot investigate my review because I did not provide a booking reference. If that is the case, then they cannot know the circumstances of my shipment. It is therefore disappointing that they chose to make generic assumptions instead of addressing the experience I described.
More importantly, they now state that depot visits are “usually permitted” for their own or partner depots. That directly contradicts what we were told when we asked to access our shipment. Had that option been offered at the time, the situation may have been resolved much more quickly and at far less expense.
The most concerning part of their response is their statement that their drivers are not experts on customs documentation and not expert packers. As customers, we reasonably relied on information provided by Seven Seas representatives in our home. If the company’s position is that customers should not rely on advice given by its own staff, that raises serious questions about consistency and accountability.
Rather than responding to the specific issues raised, Seven Seas have largely explained their internal policies. Policies are one thing; the customer experience is another. My review reflects what actually happened to us, and nothing in their response changes that.
I stand by my original review. If you choose to use Seven Seas Worldwide, make sure every important piece of advice is confirmed in writing rather than relying on verbal guidance, as our experience showed how important that can become.

I am utterly appalled by the lack of professionalism and service from this company. This is now the second time they have failed to show up for a scheduled international collection (Edinburgh to Singapore).
Following the strict instructions given by their office team, my daughter carried 6 heavy boxes down from her 3rd-floor apartment to the main front door. She then sat and waited by the door for hours, but nobody ever arrived. To expect a customer to do the heavy lifting, only to leave them stranded on the street with their belongings, is completely unacceptable.
I have other children in the UK who will need relocating soon, but I will absolutely never use this company again. If you want a stress-free move and a company that actually shows up, look elsewhere. Completely unreliable.
