Lake Garda and Villa Mulino

Just returned from Lake Garda and the hotel Villa Mulino. Absolutely amazing holiday. I would recommend to anyone. Spotless hotel, delicious food, friendly staff who go above and beyond for the guests. This is a beautiful part of the world and I can’t wait to visit again. Destinations visited are amazing and beautiful. The tour crew, Chris and Graziella were fantastic. So knowledgeable about the history and culture of the regions, as well as providing a great experience on the trip. They looked after us all with kindness, respect and compassion. I can’t thank them enough for the care they gave me on the trip. They made it so much more enjoyable and special. Thank you both and thank you to my fellow travellers for a wonderful experience. See you soon xx

Lovely Amsterdam break, perhaps not for those living in the North

The Amsterdam break was well planned and our tour guide was fantastic. The Van der Valk hotel was outstanding, although the bathroom arrangement was a little quirky. Our room was spacious and pristine with everything we needed, including a safe. We had a fantastic breakfast with a huge choice which even included bacon and egg and the evening meals were delicious and really good value for money.
Travelling by coach from the north of England isn't recommended though as departure was at 3 in the morning and there were several transfers en route, which means you're not able to get a proper rest before you get on the ferry.

Breakfast was at 7.30 and found getting…

Breakfast was at 7.30 and found getting up at 6am far too early every day. My fault at the beginning by leaving my insulin at home but was very tired at the end of the week.

Partner booked Mamma Mia/London…

Partner booked Mamma Mia/London weekend..paid in full £868 ..I am registered disabled due to ongoing illness but I fell and broke ankle..informed them immediately but because it is 5 weeks away they will take £600 off us!!..can only transfer to another person (was mother/daughter getaway) ..but we have to let them know by 8th May ..probably so they can rebook!!..awful customer care..and operator said try and make time to have these times away with family it is important 🙄..do NOT book with Shearings..end of

My wife and I

My wife and I, would like to take this opportunity, to thank both of our coach drivers, Jason and Nathan, who were so professional throughout our trip to the "Keukenhof" Tulip fields, and Amsterdam, they made our trip so enjoyable, and were very courteous and helpful throughout. And their knowledge of the area and direction made life so much easier for us, we would thoroughly recommend a SHEARINGS trip to anyone, especially with Jason and Nathan coach driver and operators. A very big heartfelt thanks again.

Dutch bulb fields and Amsterdam

We had a lovely trip to see the Dutch bulb fields and Amsterdam. The feeder coach was on time picking us up. When arriving at Folkstone, the transfer to our tour coach was extremely well organised. When we arrived at Dover for Dunkirk our ferry was cancelled, but our drivers managed to get a transfer to the ferry leaving for Calais with only a short wait. All trips ran like clockwork and so stress free.
We only had one major problem with a group of very inconsiderate, rude, noisy, drunk, abusive fellow passengers who ruined the 4 hr trip from ferry to hotel. On complaining, along with numerous others, they were spoken to by our drivers Nathan and Jason and the situation solved. Very enjoyable rest of holiday.

Bulbfield trip

Jason and Nathan were excellent drivers/hosts for the bulbfield experience this last weekend. Well done, and Shearings you have two very competent staff on your books. Hotel Moxy in Utrecht was uber modern, but no evening food? Really? Not good for the older members in the group as they came back tired after long days then had to go out in the evening to find food. Maybe Shearings you could have checked that out before hand as it was a major bank holiday. Everything ran like clockwork, well done Shearings but I guess youve had years of practice!

Agatha Christie weekend

Driver was first rate very helpful and made the journey fun
Hotel clean but my room on the top floor was so hot even with the very small fan given and not many places to plug in as only 4 sockets in the room, shower had very little pressure so shower was not great
Food sorry but evening meal on the first night was not very good so did not have dinner the second night but breakfast was good
Going around the Agatha Christie tour was enjoyable and was very well explained just glad we had the good weather but wished the trip was Friday to Monday as a lot of travelling in 3 days

Amsterdam 2026

What an awesome long weekend we had with Shearing group. So organised and helpful. Our 2 drivers Nathan and Jason were amazing. The hotel (Moxy) was nice and clean but extremely basic. Definitely book with shearing again

I wasn't satisfied with the food in the…

I wasn't satisfied with the food in the hotel at Scotland when I we.nt with shearings on the tour on.the 6.4.2026 the plates were cold for the breakfast also the carpet in.my room was grubby..and also I got a bug bite or mite bite from the mattresses I did ring shearings about this to make them aware of this.hopefully they will raise the standards and improve on this matter I have raised yours faithfully ms.jacqueline.lilly

The trip to Keukenhof Gardens and bulb…

The trip to Keukenhof Gardens and bulb field was so very lovely, everything I had hoped it would be.
I enjoyed getting a taste of Amsterdam with a boat trip on the Sunday morning, and a few hours at the Museum in the afternoon.

Our hotel, the Van de Valk in Zaltbommel, was exceptional - immaculately clean and well appointed, and the restaurant there very good indeed.
Out guide was wonderful - he was attentive and thoughtful of all his passengers needs, he was entertaining and made all the difference to the journeying which was a great deal of travel time on the coach.
I had presumed that we would be travelling to the East coast for an overnight ferry which I would have preferred - I was shocked that we were travelling the length of the country and I feel overnight sailing would have made the trip more restful and easier for the majority of passengers.
