EU & UK buyers beware

Do not buy from them if you’re in the UK!!!

While my item arrived quickly, it doesn’t really matter because returning the item would cost more than half of what I paid for it 😂 They’ve got to find a way to ship from the UK or EU so that it doesn’t cost us an arm and a leg to return otherwise what’s the point of using them?

Trying to get information out of their customer account service team was tough too. Felt like they just kept copying and pasting sections of the website that I’d already read, without properly reading or answering my questions.

All in all not a bad experience on the ordering side of things, but returns and dealing with customer service was disappointing.

Returned an item, no refund

The item I bought was nothing like the photo. Instead of a warm drapey heavyweight sweater I got a cheap-looking thin synthetic. I returned it, but did not receive a refund. Been waiting for 2 weeks, and still nothing. My last communication with the store was me sending an inquiry and them asking which carrier I used (a return shipping label was generated automatically). It feels like have I not asked they would conveniently keep the money I’m trying to get back.

I have had great experiences with…

I have had great experiences with Shopbop and some that weren’t so good. I have received a skirt that was previously worn which they replaced immediately. And also ordered the last one of an item and they emailed me a week later and they no longer had it… had a few hiccups and also seamless so it’s really a toss up.

My worst experience at Shopbop

My worst experience at Shopbop. I ordered On Running shoes and I received them in bad condition. They did not look original at all. The shoes were torn and they tried to put glue on them! Yes, the glue is even not good with the glue. The glue is coming out of the shoes. They are new and bad. Their products are not original, according to what I received from On Running Shoes. I asked their customer service to refund me all the money and to bear the return because the problem is with the quality of the shoe and is not related to the fact that it is not my size. Or I did not like the problem with the poor quality and it was not like the picture either! I have not received a response yet. I do not recommend it at all!

I recommend this shop

13.10 ordered and 19.10 delivery in the EU, which I think is great. The goods are also great. I would very much like to order again, because at first I was a little afraid because of the bad reviews, but I see that their service is TOP.

Have been a long time Shopbop customer…

Have been a long time Shopbop customer and have generally been happy. I recently returned an order via the UPS store, once it was scanned at the UPs store they refunded my purchase. Over 2 months later they recharged my card claiming the never received the return. Failing to understand how this became my problem, especially since it was scanned at the UPS store. I contacted Shopbop and have yet to receive a resolution. Fortunately Amex credited me back. It’s absurd that they think this is acceptable. If it was lost while on it’s way from the UPS store to their return department it would be a shipping insurance claim. Moral of the story is to check your credit card transactions often. I will be keeping all of my receipts for return shipments going forward. Not sure I will be ordering from Shopbop in the future since the items can be ordered from a dozen other websites.

Poor customer service and delivery

Shopbop did not create a proper invoice so i needed to pay 4 times the import duties on the delivery cost. I reached out to their customer service team who refused to help. The result - me paying double what i should be to import the item into Ireland

PS - to Shopbop team, please don't post about import duties and taxes. i fully understand the logic and i am 100% prepared to pay them, based off the value of the goods and services.

Also, UPS, the delivery team used by Shopbop - delivered the item, did not seek any import taxes, i didn't get a receipt, then 6 weeks later i got a letter from a collection agency tell me that my debt was with them now. A debt i didn't know i had. 2 days after that i got a bill from UPS for late payment charges - on an invoice i never received

I order from outside of the EU regularly. it doesn't need to be this hard.

The item never went through

The item never went through. No one contacted me from customer service to let me know. I waited two weeks and finally checked my order to find out it was canceled and item sold out. Super frustrating and horrible customer service! Dont shop this site!

Terrible experience ordering a dress, total scam of a company!

Terrible experience ordering something I wasn't even aware wasn't shipped from outside the UK, where I now owe 100 pounds in import charges not clearly called out on the checkout page or any of their emails (there're a "you may have to pay" in a small foot print at the bottom of the email) and their customer services are a joke they keep replying telling me to go read the term and conditions! And every-time I ask about options since now this dress I orderer with the 100 GBP in import charges is way too expensive they reply like robots telling me to read the T&Cs.

my go to place to buy brands when they have sale like levis and others. i also like the fast shopping ans the flat return rate. just wish there was a more varity of products. but overal satisfied.

Having read the reviews . I was sceptical ordering from the UK. I couldn’t have been proven more wrong. From start to finish . Including two conversations with customer service . Regarding an error on my part. Couldn’t have been more helpful. Keep up the good work Ordered on a Saturday. Received from the US the next Thursday.

This company is a fraud

This company is a fraud, I have bought many things from this company before. But one day I happened to look at my card charge and found that this company makes small charges of $1.21 or less. I called to complain and was told that these charges would go away. Some time later I initiated a return but I couldn't go to drop off the package, I got a message stating that they will charge you $10 for the label. On their website they state that they have free shipping and free returns.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. I ordered an item and it’s taken 3 weeks and I still haven’t received it. I get the same response every time and I am angry that they won’t cancel my order when they clearly haven’t shipped it. I can’t speak to a human and I’ll be reporting them.

UK Buyers Beware on Refunds

If you are a buyer from the UK or overseas, you will NOT be getting a full refund. I had to return an item as it was too small. They will only refund for cost of the item and not include any VAT/Customs paid. Usually in the UK, businesses will refund in full, including the VAT. ShopBop do not, so not normal business practices.

My parcel also did not include any customs paperwork so you cannot check exactly how much fees you're actually paying for.

If you are not based in America, DO NOT use this company as you will definitely be losing a lot of money if you have to return anything.

I will not be using this company again.

Long Time Customer Done with Shopbop

Done with Shopbop after many years and many purchases and will never go back. After a string of crappy experiences I had my last straw which was an out of nowhere charge to my card from them. I assumed it was a mistake but they 'forgot to collect duties' on an order placed a month ago and decided to charge my card for their mistake. No email about it, just a nasty surprise. I was worried someone had stolen my card until I finally managed to get a hold of someone at Shopbop. Had I known how much the duties were ($75), like you're supposed to see at checkout, I wouldn't have ordered as much.

There are better places with the same selection that don't treat people this way. I think it's fair to say that if you're going to do something like this you need to take a long hard look at how you're treating customers and how you feel about their continued business. Don't need them and won't be back. Avoid them and take your money elsewhere.

They automatically tack on an extra…

They automatically tack on an extra delivery day during a sale and claim that "it's on your checkout screen," when you place your order (it's not), then blame you for wondering why it hasn't shipped out. The rep I spoke to was so snarky and snide with his tone of voice, I hung up on him. Like most places owned by Amazon, their customer service is in the toilet.

I appreciate the most that you get to speak to actual people at the customer service line, versus an automated system. The customer service representatives are well trained, polite, and they make you feel as they care about your concern. Very thankful for this experience.

Falsely advertised delivery time!

I placed an order on Apr 25 and the original delivery date was scheduled for May 1. But until today, the shipment still hasn’t arrived! I can’t believe that they have the audacity to call this express delivery! Under their Shipping ToC it’s explicitly mentioned that the express delivery to Malaysia will take 2-4 days only! (Please don’t try to brush this off as custom delay because that’s not the case. Based on the tracking events, the shipment was released in less than a day!)
