Landline without Internet service.

I changed my ISP but the new ISP were no longer offering a phone service of any type so after searching the web I came across a recommendation for Simple Telecom. I rang them a and John answered, no select 1 2 or 3 or a call centre but a real person who knows the products they supply. He took the time to explain exactly what I needed to meet my requirements and confirmed it all in an email.
A week later I phoned to confirm my purchase and a few days later received the router and a new phone (which was not required but I now have a spare) to set up the new service with a temporary number until my existing number was transferred. The transfer has now been done and we are very pleased with the system,. Brings a whole new meaning to 'Plug & Play'.
Everyone I spoke to or emailed was very friendly, polite and knowledgeable which gave me confidence about the services they offer and I have no reservations in recommending them to anyone.

An excellent company, a joy to deal with

Customer service was amazing from the first contact. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, helpful, very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. No passing from pillar to post just straight forward all the way. I didn’t think customer service of this standard existed any more, thankfully it does.

Good service from all concerned

Hit problems switching to digital line, which was done on a Friday, so unfortunately the weekend got in the way. But Simple Telecoms were very helpful & kept at it until problem resolved. Problem was not Simple Telecoms fault, but a technical hitch transfering the phone number.

Simple Telecoms saved the day !

We received excellent service from Simple Telecoms.They were extremely helpful and understanding. My mother had recently moved into a new care home which did not have access to BT lines.Therefore she was stuck without her landline type phone.She could not use a mobile as she is 97 and registered blind and needed her usual big button phone.
However Simple Telecoms came to the rescue and she can now use her old phone through a router with a sim card inside.Connection is made from mobile phone networks.
My mother is so much happier now and can phone family and friends any time she likes.
I can thoroughly recommend Simple Telecoms.

After 59 years with BT!

The changeover from BT/EE went exactly as planned - very smooth! I had one query which I emailed to Simple and got a reply within the hour. Trying to call BT, however, is a nightmare! Oh yes! And Simple was half the cost of BT...until, that is, BT realised that I was serious about changing. Then their prices came tumbling down...but too late!

Needed a landline for my elderly Dad…

Needed a landline for my elderly Dad and this has solved the issue for us. Very helpful staff (Tony especially) thank you. Managed to keep old number after using a temporary number during switch over which was important for him. Everything going well so far , would recommend 😃

Decent company

I have used this company to have a landline for an elderly relative, and have found them to be accommodating and honest. To coin a term, It does what it says on the tin.
I would have no problems recommending them.

Quick to rectify issue

In the first instance, we had an issue with connectivity and the network, which required escalation to rectify the situation. Once the matter was raised, the team were quick to respond and rectified the issues by providing a new unit in a efficient manner.

I wanted to address the concerns you raised regarding the 1Phone unit that was shipped to you.

We sent the unit fully tested on April 8th and confirmed it was in working condition prior to shipping. We were surprised to learn about the issue only after your notification on April 24th, which was less than a day ago when you first reported a problem.

Upon receiving your feedback, our team immediately engaged with Evan to understand the situation. We have conducted thorough checks with you and have escalated the matter to our data center staff for further investigation.

In our email correspondence dated April 8th, we had specifically requested that you power up the router before transferring the number, which was approximately 15 days prior to the actual transfer. This was to ensure that the router was not damaged during transit and that it had a functioning service.

We have sent a new unit out on next day before 10.30AM delivery, with a returns bag for the old unit. This new unit has also been tested and calls made through it.

We understand your frustration with the situation; however, we believe that a one-star review is unfair given the circumstances, and not giving us time to resolved the problem. As you can see a new unit was/has been sent within 12 hours of you reporting the fault with us.

Absolutely love talking to a team who you can hold a proper conversation with!

iam 85 years of age i live alone this simple telecommunications company disconnected my phone number and left me abounded and valuable without a telephone
and emergency red button life line and they have refused to reconnect me they where very rude on a phone conversation about my direct debit please avoid this company, save your money its a scam

Upon thorough review of your account, including emails and call recordings, we must correct your version of events.

Franco your point of contact clearly requested the disconnection of your line on the 12th of this month due to your new installation with a different provider, despite being informed at the time that this action was irreversible.

This request was documented through multiple emails confirming the chosen date and outlining the implications of the disconnection.

Your subsequent communication on Saturday (13th), expressing that your new provider had not completed the installation and requesting the line to remain active, was responded to promptly, reiterating that this was not feasible, as previously communicated in our correspondence and agreement.

Additionally, you unilaterally closed the direct debit necessary for outbound calls without notifying us of your migration to a new provider, which is essential for bill payments. We explicitly informed you that a new direct debit was required for continued service, which Franco reluctantly complied with.

There is no substantiated evidence supporting your claim of our team members being rude during any of our phone conversations.

To be unequivocal: you insisted on terminating the line on the 12th, fully aware of the irreversible nature of this action. Therefore, your interpretation of events is entirely inaccurate, and we take great offense at your accusation of us being "Scammers."

We suggest discussing this matter with Franco, your point of contact, as he may not have accurately conveyed the true nature of these events to you.
