My Dad was having his phone line…

My Dad was having his phone line transferred to digital from Copper line. After the engineer visited he has been left with no outgoing or incoming telephone line. No idea when this work will be completed.

We always take full responsibility when a mistake is on our side. However, in this case, the issue with the installation at your address was due to Openreach and unfortunately outside of our control.

Our team made every effort to support you and liaise with Openreach throughout the process. It turns out the engineer was unable to access the telegraph pole in the village, which requires a specialist hoist engineer — something that even the attending Openreach engineer would not have been aware of prior to the visit.

With this in mind, we feel that the one-star review doesn’t accurately reflect the service we provided, but rather the limitations caused by Openreach’s infrastructure and procedures.

Great system.

Was looking for a cheaper telephone system for my elderly mother who didn't want a mobile, this fitted the bill.
No problems with supply and switch over went as scheduled.
Everything fine so far.

Wish we'd moved sooner!

Easy to understand package, a good choice of service.
Prompt response, a very good price for what we require.
Last, but definitely not least, easy to communicate with! When we did have questions about our new supply, we got a swift response from a named person.

Landline switched…

Very good service had one or two points that wanted answers but was sorted quickly and efficiently. We were switched over before we realised and phone is working as it should. A very good service would recommend to anybody.

All completed satisfactorily

All completed now including taking original phone number. Would have been 5 stars but a significant delay between paying and receiving equipment. My Dad was without a landline for a day despite at least 2 weeks notice and eleven days since payment. I contacted Simpletelecomms and to be fair they sent the router out that day and it arrived the next day. Some connection problems at first but these were solved quickly the same day once the engineers were informed. Overall glad I went with this company.

My experience was a little difficult as…

My experience was a little difficult as no instructions sent with the equipment and also I was not advised that I could not contact mobile numbers which is the only way to contact family any thank you

We don’t include instructions in the box because, in the event the unit is lost or stolen in transit, it would contain sensitive account information and setup details. Instead, we send an email with all the necessary instructions before shipping. We’ve checked our records and can confirm this was sent on March 11th, outlining the three-step connection process.

Regarding your ability to call mobile phones, we’ve verified that this feature is fully enabled. It’s likely that the restriction was due to an ongoing number port, which may have temporarily affected outbound calls. This is no longer the case, and you should now be able to call both landlines and mobiles without issue.

The only restriction in place is for calls to personal mobile numbers that appear standard but are actually premium-rate, making them significantly more expensive.

If you’re still experiencing any difficulties, please don’t hesitate to contact our team at 0330 122 0000.

A great company

A great company. Friendly and polite.
Mum as with them for nearly five years.
They answer the phone quickly, I have never had to wait or have call backs etc.
They advised me as to which phone and internet connection was best for mum.
It would be wonderful if more companies were like this one.
