I was scared, intimidated and out of pocket!

My two daughters are in London for a concert at the o2 arena & due to their young age I prebooked a taxi through minicabit for after the concert and paid £40. The concert finished early and I needed to amend the booking to an earlier time but for some reason it wasn't showing up on my minicabit account so I rang Sinclair Cars directly as it said to. Oh my god! The person I spoke to was rude, unhelpful & obnoxious. Apparently there was no car available before my booked time so I asked to cancel it. He said no! Because I booked thru minicabit I couldn't cancel or get refund unless with them. It wasn't showing on my account even though it was defo booked so there's nothing I can do. I've had to pay out another £40 for my daughters to get a cab but I'm not bothered because I'd pay anything if it meant that they were not entrusted to a company like Sinclairs to be safe & comfortable! I told the person on the phone that I'm happy my daughters won't be travelling with them because I'd be scared and was told to f@£k off by someone who obviously did not give a crap about anyone or anything. Minicabit could be a good app if they vetted the companies they allow on it. A company like Sinclair Cars could break them. I won't use Minicabit again because of this awful experience!

This guy breaks the law

This guy breaks the law, and pressures people into letting him get away with it. Sells written off cars, doesnt disclose major faults and tells people they dont have the legal rights the do. He thinks he knows how to play the system, by constantly changing his reviews, lying on social media, and scamming people. AVOID at all costs! He also trades under London Mini and CHARLES SINCLAIR

Don't believe any good reviews - THEY ARE FAKE

Don't believe any good reviews. It's not a coincidence all good reviews are from new accounts with only 1 or 2 reviews. Charles regularly creates fake accounts and fake google business profiles to try and hide his fraudulent activities. A true thief. Check out Dave's logs and THE GARAGE on Google maps for more reviews.

Charles the typical London wide boy. Has no problem scamming you and is a compulsive liar. Terrible mechanics, couldn't change a Vanos solenoid, the whole business is a joke. Got flashed with my car in London when it was supposedly being fixed. I had to start a small claim to get a refund after he sold me a car full of problems, and then failed to fix it. He was not on google maps before this and isn't on any social media where you can leave a review, we all know why. A real specialist suspects him of changing mileage. I really wonder how this guy is still in business. Just a con man and an all-round pathetic person. Insulting and intimidation tactics on the phone when questioned. Avoid at all costs. Will promise things that never happen and will drag you on for weeks. I have proof of all these claims.

Brought 3 cars from London Mini.Always…

Brought 3 cars from London Mini.Always look around to see what else is available.Like to make sure I’m getting the best deal.Went to a dealer a lot nearer to me that supposedly had good feedback. The car wasn’t cleaned loads of warning lights. It was a absolute horror.
Went back to London Mini and found my third lovely Mini from these guys even though they are nearly 60 miles from my home. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
Kate.

AVOID AVOID AVOID - London Mini Hampton

AVOID AVOID AVOID - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY (Now called London Mini to avoid small claims court debts)

Well I wished I had read the previous reviews before buying a car from here.
I made a big mistake and become a recent victim.
I bought a mini from London Mini at the beginning of April, after only a few weeks, I experienced problems with it.
I took it to a local garage who identified there was a problem with the head gasket (surprise surprise).
As it was still in warranty we contacted Charles Sinclair who eventually agreed to collect the mini and fix the problem as “they had loads of mini parts lying about and if need be they would even put a new engine in it” (His words).
After a few weeks of constantly letting us down, the vehicle wasn’t collected by them (it is strongly believed he was waiting for warranty date to pass). Therefore we arranged at our own expense to get the vehicle back to his garage where it sat for weeks on end collecting dust. Lots of phone calls made to him, lots of excuses heard - he never once contacted us with updates.
Charles Sinclair then changed his tune and wanted £500 off us to fix the vehicle and it wouldn’t be done for 6 to 8 weeks. Similarly to others, he had our vehicle longer than we had it.
His favourite catchphrase is ‘they are old cars’. I appreciate that, but I wanted a car that actually works !!

Another big red flag with this company is - Charles wanted us to pay for the mini before we had actually received it !!! The mini was apparently on way to us but it wasn’t going to arrive until sometime in the evening after the office had shut, so Charles wanted us to do the bank transaction over the phone before hand. It turns out the mini hadn’t even left Hampton !!

Charles Sinclair is a Lier, Fraudster and Rogue Trader. Do not believe anything he tells you, he doesn’t stand by his word at all.
His wife Lynne Sinclair works along side him and she will lie on his behalf when you call the office. I also wouldn’t trust his mechanics to change a tyre let alone anything else ! They definitely don’t know what a head gasket is.

Do yourself a favour, go elsewhere to a trust worthy dealer for a reliable Mini.

A bit shady

We drove from the hotel to the trainstation First we had to pay cash. When that was not an option, I was suddenly able to use my credit card. The amount we had to pay was 150% of what we paid on the way from the train station to the hotel. The driver couldn't do anything about it he said. He drove the route via maps and not via the system in the car. It all feels a bit shady.
I want to contact the company about that but the website is under construction ????

Total scam

Total scam. Sells MOT fails and then sends threats and abuse in the hope you will go away.
Changed name to London Mini Limited to dodge paying debts.
This guy is a total con man, don't buy from there.
If you are unsure - why not check his website 'reviews' which are actually just his buying stuff on ebay and people leaving reviews for that, nothing to do with the company.

London Mini Hampton, Charles

I'm leaving this review here for London Mini in Hampton, DO NOT buy a car from LONDON MINI HAMPTON, dealership run by Charles.

Car purchased in December 2021, immediately we had problems, passenger footwell filling with water, problem with the rear parking sensor, shortly afterwards problems with the gearbox that meant car would not drive properly. We had the car sent back to Charles at our own expense as he was legally bound by the credit consumer act to look at repairing the car or refunding. He had the car for 7 weeks and did nothing, excuse after excuse, didn't offer a refund, car was eventually scrapped as costs to repair from an independent garage were for too high (thousands)

We are not the only ones this dealer has problems with, lots of people out there reporting similar problems.

If you want to buy a Mini PLEASE go somewhere else

Endless problems

I bought mini 2002 last summer. It was sold to me after fully serviced. It was ok for the first 6 months and then problems started. I am spending my time and money for endless problems. Leaking water, overheating, wobbly wheels and brake. Now he changed the trading name to London Mini, because of bad reviews and so many people are trying to take him to court for the compensation.

Fantastic experience

Fantastic experience. I was quite shocked to read so many negative reviews as my experience has been really good. Car is outstanding, service was great. Charles was super polite and responsive to everything I asked and requested. I bought the car via the internet off photos and a video he kindly took for me. Delivered to my door by a pleasant and polite driver via a low loader. I was kept informed of each stage of the transaction and everything went very smoothly. Very very happy!

Warning. Do NOT use this company!!!

I bought Two minis from here. Both broke down. Then was offered another mini which I then swapped for the two minis plus yet more cash. This car lasted a month. After paying out just under £8000 I got £600 cash back for scrap. I would not recommend anyone use this company. The car was in their garage for longer than we had it.

Had a problem with my Mini

Had a problem with my Mini. Called out the AA, They said it was a head gasket, so took it to my local garage. They said it was the headgaskets and quoted over £650. Last chance called sinclairs, took in. One hour later. New radiator cap and a bill of £80 back on the road and all is good.
Only taking my Mini to these chaps.
