Such a great two days, the trainer was really good, I learnt alot and it was good amount of practical and theory.

A great course, engaging, insightful and went beyond the course material where more information was desired. The instructor did a great balancing act of ensuring the day was both fun but also covered the serious aspects of first aid treatment. I think it is a hugely important bit of training and would highly recommend to everyone.

Very hands on and practical session. Lots of interaction and useful advice and information. So glad I took the opportunity to get involved - and qualified!

I found the staff giving the training to be very good, though I did not enjoy the role playing at the end of the session, as I find role playing stressful.

St John Ambulance can always be relied on to run a good course. The 3 day First Aid At Work course that I did in Hull was particularly good. The course content, structure, etc. were great as expected. The stand out feature of this course for me was Karl, the instructor. Karl is a brilliant instructor and provided a perfect balance of PowerPoint learning, interactive learning, constructive discussion and experience sharing. I attend a lot of external training courses and I'm vary weary of "death by PowerPoint" but this course couldn't have been further from that. Not only was Karl's approach to teaching engaging and interesting, he consistently balanced the seriousness of the topics being discussed with warmth, authenticity, and humour (where appropriate). Karl's teaching has given me confidence beyond what I would expect from such a course and I'm vary grateful to him for providing a course which was both fun and informative (an often tricky combination to achieve). I've always had great instructors on first aid courses, but when the time comes to renew my First Aid at Work qualification, I will be calling up SJA to ensure that I get a place on one of Karl's courses.

Brilliant course

I attended a first aid in the work place course in Rochford, Essex. Jane Park and Paul Flynn kept the course fun and engaging the whole way through.

Nice comfortable venue with plenty of parking.
Presenter was experienced as an ex fire officer and had good examples and the course was engaging and educational.

I have been on a few St John first aid courses and now the fire marshall and they are very well run. Facilities are very good, refreshments provided. Trainers are approachable, professional and I have enjoyed all the courses.

Service was great , clear explanation

I attended a one-day course on Mental Health, run by Stephen Andrews for employees of Nexperia. Aim of the course was to raise awareness on Mental Health and support us to become Mental Health Advocates. The course was interesting and targeting to the correct level, I believe, and Stephen provided a very interactive session without bordering on awkwardness. Well done, well received!

Really informative, very straightforward information. Good to put what was taught into practice and feel in comfortable surroundings where you can ask any questions.

Andy at the first aid training course in leeds was amazing! I really learnt a lot when i was there and he helped me feel confident enough to help anyone in need after the course!

The experience of the refresher First Aid was great and constructive and I've learned new skills and procedures dealing with a medical emergency in all types of situations.
The training and learning was going well and forward and in my opinion St. Johns Ambulance provided the best course. Very happy with Dave Murfitt too. The best trainer! Very satisfied, well looked after.
I recommend the business for the future reference courses.

It was really good too learn all the different ways too do emergency first aid and terry and the other lady who i can't remember her name were both lovely and helpful people
