Thank you so much to Abigail Withey, she had endless patience and time for me. She answered all my questions in depth and it was the best customer service I have experienced in a long time! Vote for employee of the month!

Couldn't see how to close my Skipton Savings account on line so went on Web Chat. The web chat person didn't know how to do it and wasted 45 minutes of my time. In the end I figured it out myself by basically trying anything! Either they should have better guides for their people, or train them better, or get better people. Will never use Skipton B/Soc again.

I have dealt with Skipton Building Society's Premier Service for me and my families pension and savings. Their service has been fine until the last six months where it's been awful.
I've even had to register a formal complaint and even that has not had any effect or personal response.
Their Premier Team are anything but 'premier', all they do is constantly apologise after weeks and months of phone calls. None of the Team Leaders has rang me back as they all seem to be in out of the office or in meetings!
I have not had anyone actually respond to my requests and am still awaiting any kind of payment from the pension they are currently managing for me for nearly THREE MONTHS!
Skipton state that their business is based on Fairness, but to whom?!
Certainly not this customer.

I had a fiddly niche edge-case enquiry so I needed to talk to a human. Fortunately I was able to do so and it made all the difference because an LLM sure as hell wouldn't have been able to understand my question.

I have always found The Skipton really helpful and approachable. Best of all they are easy to contact and you talk to real humans not computers! They offer competitive rates and I can’t fault them.

As first-time buyers, we were really pleased to receive the welcome home kit from Skipton. The gifts, vouchers and helpful information were a lovely gesture and made settling into our new home feel even more special!

The online quick chat was fast and easy to use. Would definitely recommend!! Appreciated not being stuck with an AI agent like with other quick chats, and it went straight to a staff member.

I was encouraged to move to the new app, but at no point was I told the new app doesn't support withdrawals from savings accounts and will not support withdrawals for the forseeable future. The only remaining option is to call, which often incurs wait times exceeding fifteen minutes. There is no option to downgrade, nor use the website.
