Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 149 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People frequently complained about the high costs and poor overall value, feeling that sports subscriptions are entirely too expensive for the limited or frustrating service provided. Customers also expressed deep frustration with the commentators and pundits, describing them as repetitive, overly negative, and completely unhelpful during live broadcasts. Furthermore, many consumers experienced technical glitches, streaming failures, and poor camera work that ruined matches. Though some customers noted occasional positive aspects, mentioning that specific normal channels or certain featured commentators performed exceptionally well and brought quality analysis and insightful commentary to the screen.

Hi to the police who is responsible corruption of the punter loosing of a abvi

Hi to the police who is responsible, for horse racing punters , when there is clearly a race thats is unacceptable for a punter who has paid on withe there gard earnt money whatever the stake when a jokey has a race clearly going to win , like today in in Ireland 5th of August its simply corrupt, at roscommon, the jockey was and thought he clearly had won the the race and stopped ridding before the line basically dropped his his hands and lost the race by a nose , BYT EVEN THOUGH THAT WAS CLEARLY SEEN BY THE BOARD, THE PUNTER LOOSES THERE MONEY THE JOCKEY FETS A 14 DAY BAN , BUT IF ITS A £1 OR A £+000, POUND FOR THE PUNTER THERE IS NO JUSTICE, CLEARLY THERE SHOULD BE A A RULE FOR THE PUNTER AS IF THE JOCKEY INVOLVED, IS CLEARLY NOT RODE THE HORSE OUT TO WIN AND GET A BAN FOR OBVIOUS RESONS, THEN SURELY, THE PUNTER SHOULD BE PAID ON A WIN IN THE STAGE OF A NOSE LOSE. ITS DISGUSTING, AND GIVES THE SPORT A BAD NANE OF CORRUPT.

Nothings changed since my last tennis review

Tennis coverage is dreadful watching the Medvedev v Moutet match which was recorded on the tennis channel as the tournament is in Washington and mostly through the night got two games to go on the final set and the recording cuts off nothing new there it’s happened loads of times yet they scan around all other games in the middle of the game your watching must have wasted a good few minutes doing that and you can’t get a replay. It’s so frustrating not knowing who’s won
After paying discovery + for a month to watch Roland Garros it was well worth £30.99 to see replays whenever you want. Took me back to how good tennis used to be. I’ll be paying again in January to watch the Australian open

Can’t bloody stand this company

Can’t bloody stand this company. Total rip offs and bloody daylight robbing everyone. No matter how many times you cancel your subscription they will continue emailing and trying to bill your card - even after numerous emails to cancel your subscription. Will never ever purchase with them again

Woke agenda…

I think Sky Sports are pushing their woke agenda into every single sport they broadcast. It seems they’re now only employing people if they tick the right boxes for their woke nonsense, not for being a good reporter or pundit. Most of the people they have reporting at footy matches on a Saturday is just embarrassing. Does anyone even watch soccer Saturday anymore since they sacked all the best pundits?

The Open Golf coverage

The Open Golf coverage was ruined by chronically poor camera work, indistinct leader board and(much as I support him) far too much focus on Rory McIlroy. On one occasion Bob McIntyre was lining up a putt and they cut away to analysis of problems Rory was experiencing with his swing. Then we had to endure meaningless weather reports and commentators who became travel agents for the local area. This unprofessional standard is a complete turnoff.

Open Golf 2025.

Open Golf 2025.
You simply cannot see the golf ball from the drone or higher fixed camera positions. It's been the same on all 4 days. Get it sorted Sky. The Ryder Cup is coming.

Tell the truth!!!

Tell the truth about the problems about ect man utd and their owners instead of invite former players who talks out of their ass and blaming the manager!!
I want truth in interviews and not be afraid to speak about the real issues in topics like this, but all the mainstream media does this, it's pathetic!!!

Very poor coverage of today's golf

Coverage of The Scottish Open is very poor, there are ads about every 8 to 12 minutes, there in no consistency in coverage of the leading groups, so it is extremely difficult to follow. I understand the coverage issues when they are using an American feed, but I assume they are doing this themselves.

Mel Jones is absolutely brilliant

Mel Jones is absolutely brilliant. The most informative and accessible commentator on sky cricket coverage, and that’s saying something because they are all good.
Please please continue with Mel Jones

Sky coverage of the last days of the…

Sky coverage of the last days of the Travellers Golf is a disgrace. The commentators seem to ignore that Rory is competing except for occasional short coverage.

All they seem to talk about is Scheffler who at the start of the day was on the same score as Rory. They showed and commentated on the first three holes Scheffler played, totally ignoring Rory.

British Lyons/Argentina rugby

Why do the commentators have to talk so much. It would be so much better if we could hear the referees comments on the British Lyons v Argentina game instead of hearing Will Greenwood talking about superficial things that we don't need to hear. Less talk from them in future please.

Watching sky sports coverage of the us open. Or i would like to watch the actual golf being played but for the time wasted listening to the commentators talking to past players (Ernie Els) being one. Show us the golf not all the stastistics. Love the the Dame commentating.

Love watching golf

Love watching golf. Why was boring McGinley brought back to rave on about stats??
Laura Davis can't stop talking gibberish and trying to predict shots and getting it wrong. How often does she tell us "that's nice"nicely done"nice shot". Iona,Inci and Henni are far better commentators

Same old

Same old. Despite everything coming down on them wont reverse their weird woke agenda. Sky losing £100-£120 million a year. Good. Jokers. I cancelled 4 years ago.never looked back. Their agenda appealing to Gen Z who all stream on dodgy free lol. Those that actually pay n subscribe enjoy ur women’s netball n football n cricket and the unwatchable bleached SSN and Soccer Saturday. Lose the prem franchise they’re gone, for good, or prob over bid and same. Wont be here in 10 years guaranteed.

The horse racing channel At the Races…

The horse racing channel At the Races is pathetic
They can't even show live pictures it's about 7 seconds behind yet still show a percentage chart chance of each horse which is useless

They also have to take adverts every 5 minutes. It's a channel of adverts with the odd race thrown in

Typical SKY treating their customers with contempt

Terrible

Terrible. Skysports actually sanction customers for terminating their subscriptions. I was paying £62 monthly. I wanted only sports, but had to buy the complete entertainment package as a condition. Last year, I watched the French open. This year, no, unless I upgraded my subscription. I cancelled my contract. I was fully paid until end of July. But as punishment for terminating my subscription, skysport cancelled 'tennis on demand', citing some dubious reason. They then said they couldn't send a pre paid package for the return of the skysport box, again a spurious excuse given, and threatened me with charges, if unreturned. This is simply corporate greed and vindictive behaviour. Terrible.
