I really hate the ongoing harassment of calls and wasted correspondence from Smart Care. I totally regret my foolishness in contacting these people after my washing machine was installed. Trying to contact them to stop the ongoing harassment just results in long wasted telephone calls that cut off, apparently due to ongoing Corona virus concerns!
Care packages for appliances
Took out a policy and used it to repair fridge. That part was fine, no issues, and the cheapest way of doing things.
As part of the offer you can claim a care package for an appliance, I picked the washing machine one. Allegedly worth £40 - it was 1.5kg of washing powder and a delicates bag. Better than nothing I guess - but in reality about £5 from the supermarket for non branded powder.
As for the rewards you can use to buy new appliances - don't waste your money, you will get cheaper through doing a proper online comparison.
Dont let these rip you off !
Not even worth 1star !
This company lie to you and the whole rewards process is a con ! They more than double the price of their goods on sale, then let you think theyve given you a load of money off the item via their 'rewards money back', but havent ! Theyre still more expensive than just buying the same item in say Currys, so they con you !
Check out the website prices and youll see exactly what i mean, microwave oven at £800, 'discounted' via their rewards money off to £249 in Currys !! Same make model, colour everything?? !
Avoid these
Bargain price cooker
I was clear from the information that I wouldn't get a free cooker soo I wasn't expecting one (honestly why don't people the offer and not just review what they want to happen?).
The 'list' price was higher than I could find online but when the points deduction was made I saved loads of money.
Ordering was wasy enough and the delivery was quick and professional.
I ended up with smartcare rewards…
I ended up with smartcare rewards without realising.Ive had replacement washing machine and cooker, due to them not being repairable any more, with domestic and general,so why would I want to save rewards up to buy these items, when they replace them anyway. Also you cant use all you're rewards for one tidy purchase,as you have to pay half, and also you are paying an extortionate amount for you're policy, compared to not haveing the so called rewards. You have payed all that money in,so it's no reward at all.

I’ve only given it a 1 so as can write a review.
WHAT A CON !
I’ve got £2522.56 smart rewards and don’t even sell convection microwaves or freestanding mini ovens which is all I need.
If you cancel a policy or you have decided to not renew you will not be able to access them.
You have to have a current policy in place.
This is the worst con firm
This is the worst con firm. This has got to be one of the worst cons in the world, you pay all this money, get great rewards and then you will receive a letter by post to claim your free Wpro Appliance Care pack plus register to get the rewards. The con kicks in, can't use what u have earned. Load of rubbish. No rewards or no free nothing. Full of rubbish. Whenever you call D&G they will ask you to call Smartcare. When you call Smartcare, they will ask you to call D&G. It’s like a game… making the customers like fools.

Smart are rewards is a scam
Trying to get through to a human being is a disgrace, those smart are rewards are a scam, what a disgrace
Great service
One phone call and three days later my cooker repaired. Cooker is top of range but ten years old approx. Fault been recurring a few times over past few years but great to know it's always covered and no call out charge
Smartcare rewards customer service...or lack of…
Ordered a new fridge freezer in November last year 2022 but received a text message a month later saying due to manufacturing constraints there would be a 12 week delay. This was annoying but we decided to stick with it as we'd already waited a month...Tuesday 21st March 2023 just received a text stating there's still a long delay so after nearly 5 months of waiting and no contact we're apparently supposed to wait even longer WORST customer service ever!!
Indifferent Customer Service
I placed 2 orders and Smartcarereward used Evri for delivery. I called their customer service to talk about the bad experience with Evri's delivery, they just showed their indifference.
How can I have any confidence buying any products from Smartcarereward?!
This company is not a scam, However they do not offer comparative prices
Last year I purchased a dishwasher at a discounted price with my smartcare rewards.
This year (2023) I am in the process of renovating my kitchen and purchased the Oven and Built in Microwave from Smartcare with my rewards.
In all instances I found the price to be elevated but with the rewards I used for each purchase I got it for less than I could find the appliance anywhere else and with the Microwave I managed to get it for £92 less than the best price any where else.
They are not a scam as people are claiming, but yes they do inflate their prices and in some instances by quite a bit. Even if I have saved £10 pounds on an item I am still the winner.
Smart care rewards its a scam don't…
Smart care rewards its a scam don't bother tried to log in with the plan number and the post code, the system won't recognise but I know for sure the plan is the right one.Dont get fooled with this people's scams.
I have been with Domestic and General…
I have been with Domestic and General for Approximatly 28yrs and They have been great I have everything in my Kitchen Appliances covered also Tv my Irons and they also cover Computers and Vacum Cleaners. I have acumalated over £1300 in Rewards.
If I had to replace all my appliances It would cost me a fortune but I have peace of mind knowing It can be repaired or replaced if Not repaired.
I have also recommended my friends and Family whom have also taken out Insurance.
Thank You to the company.

Smartcare won't let me log in
Smartcare won't let me log in, saying they don't recognise my details which are shown correctly on my plan certificate. Nothing but a hoax !
Nice surprise to see that I had £262 to…
Nice surprise to see that I had £262 to spend towards another appliance. But when price checking, the same appliance that I was interested in was still £200 cheaper just about anywhere (including Hotpoint UK) even after the full discount was applied! 1* for that + 1* for the free cleaning/care kit.
Very happy 😃
After having an email off D&G to say that my washing machine care was being renewed, I saw that I had over £80 saved up in the smart care rewards scheme, that i didn't even know existed! After finding their website and logging in I found that this was valued at £325 on their site which i could put towards appliances. We have looked into getting a new fridge for a while for a bit more space. So having looked down the list I found they had one from hotpoint listed at £460 rrp now £245 due to them taking a percentage off my rewards. Now having read the reviews beforehand I could see people either complaining about the prices being inflated or not being able to use all of the rewards saved up. The fridge in question is on Ao NOW for £440 and curry's for £470 so saved me nearly £200! Usually the saying would go "you never get anything for free in this world" and this is true. However since I took out my D&G cover on my hotpoint washing machine (to which they did a very expensive repair which without cover would have cost me a new washing machine) I have unbeknown to me gained rewards and took nearly £200 off a fridge that I would have bought for £445. For me this REALLY is getting something for free. I can't fault this service and delivery was hassle free in a 3 hour timeslot given the night before.
In short don't expect something for nothing and be happy for what you get 😃
Happy with the Whirlpool
I know there's quite a few negative reviews out there but my experience was good. I had an old hotpoint Rla80 that went kaput. Mainly used this as a backup to o main fridge for beers etc and occasional food for psrties. Anyway I got a Whirlpool Fridge for £268....so basically 50% off normal RRP..... I also checked this price against other suppliers... E.g. AO.... So I'm happy 😉👍
