I joined Songtradr for music distribution. The opportunity for licensing is just an added bonus. I released one single and it went smoothly, with the exception that they didn't distribute it to Pandora right away. It was up on Apple Music, Spotify, etc. on the scheduled release date. I had to reach out to them to make sure it got to Pandora, but they were pretty responsive and it is now awaiting Pandora's curation review.

There's a bit of a learning curve with their song catalog management system, but I've got it down now. The pricing is most excellent for what you get. I switched to Songtradr from another distributor because that company's customer service had devolved to non-existent. At this time, I can say that Songtradr staff get back to me within a day or two, every time I have a question. So that's a relief!

Trash site, they steal your royalties. They do nothing until they owe you then they confiscate your money. Garbage no integrity company, DO NOT USE

At this time, all releases have been blocked due to numerous artificial streaming strikes and you are no longer able to use Songtradr services.

This email is to notify you that we are terminating your account and terminating your access to all Songtradr services. Pursuant to Section 4(e) of our Digital Distribution Services Agreement with you, Songtradr has the right, in its discretion, to terminate your account.

All funds will be withheld and subject to review pending potential claw back from DSPs. We will revisit your account after this period and if we have received no claw backs from DSPs, your funds will be used to benefit the music community in a manner of our choosing.

When we decided to put out music on Paul's Songtradr I think it was the biggest mistake we did in our whole musical career.

This company only use and I quote "Songtradr takes fraud activities very seriously" even if there's no strike from streaming sites and they use it to justify anything they do. They will stop monthly payments and take the money themselves and blame it on streaming sites.

We have mail proof of Songtradr's customer executive saying they will use the fund generated by our catalogue in whichever means they like even if streaming platforms won't put strike on the music.

It's shocking that this company raised 6 million dollars in investments and still acting like it can't live off without it's userbase royalties. More people should know about this and it's the reason we're decided to go bolo on this website. Watch out!

I've been trying to withdraw my funds to paypal but that doesn't work. Contacted support and they said I could withdraw through payoneer so I gave them all my bank account details. It's been more than a month now and no response from them at all. Just got scammed I guess

Songtradr is the real deal! Everyone is so nice AND prompt to reply. They are true pros all the way! If you have any hesitation to join, put it aside. They are wonderful!

The Songtradr platform is solid and the support team have always been helpful.
I am more than happy to have my music represented by them. The people that have had issues are trying to play the system. It’s tough out there, especially this last 18 months. As artists we need to look after one another and in my opinion that is the intention of the folks at Songtradr. Stay safe.

I contacted Songtradr Support to clarify my confusion on a technical issue. Sophie helped in a surprisingly timely and precise manner. I am very satisfied with the results. Thank you again.

Songtradr is a total scam nothing else their Youtube content-id doesn't work and the royalties are also not fair and recently I decided to takedown my releases they simply terminated my account by saying I'm underage and plus didn't give the royalties i deserve so you can think what I'm saying.

I gave them 5stars simply coz, life would be better if every one company had a more efficient team when it comes to response. The company is promising for undiscovered artist, it gives you a chance to put your music out even if you supper broke. If you work hard, you'll eventually grow and start making the money to get better plans for your music

Support Team is very good. They usually reply in 1-2 days. They really helped me a lot. Recently I wanted to takedown some musics and they did it only in 4-5 days. Thanks for this awesome service.

I have read that some peoples are saying in their reviews that Songtradr have given option for YouTube Monetization but they don't do that.

This not Songtradr's fault, YouTube don't accept every song generally from free distributors like Songtradr. There is also a high chance that your song contains unlicensed products or melodies made for public domain. If you think your song is completely yours just opted-in your song for Youtube and wait for 1 or 2 months.

Everything is pending some sort of approval from the owner who is me.

The entire site is baffling and buggy. Its a simple prospect for myself, as I write compose mix and master.

Support is non existent so far, as I can tell, 5 days of doing my dilegence. So far this songtradr promises all manner of wonderous things to desparate musicians, and cant even get the bugs out of their website.
To follow up, they did eventually get back to me, and most issues have been resolved, the biggest one was all the duplicate names, not accepting my ISWC number ie not valid. A weird one is that software counts my view of my own song. Havent figured out how to make my paypal account work, that is for another day I suppose,

I was needing help for changing my artist name because of some issues with my music being mixed up with music from other artists with a similar name, but Zak helped me out fast through the entire process and in a really great way. Thank you Zak for the great service!

As an independent artist, Songtradr enabled me to release my tracks and build a fan base. My music is now live and people are discovering it.

My co-writer and I wrote a song. He has a pro account and I have a basic account. We activated the song. Then we tried to monetize it in multiple ways. However, in each case where we tried to monetize, songtradr was asking for the non-owner, work-for-hire singer we had used to also approve each monetization. My original complaint to support explained:

"We have made 7 separate attempts to monetize our song xxx. In each case, both co-owners of the song have approved. Yet these are all still marked pending. A possible reason why they are shown as pending is that the singer, for some reason, is shown as an approver for these monetization efforts, yet the singer has no ownership in this song. The singer was paid on a work for hire basis."

Then songtradr support parroted the problem back to me: "You have xxx listed at the Main Artist of this upload. Therefore, their approval is required. Please have xxx log into their account to accept our Agreements (see screenshot below) and approve having the upload opted-in to Monetization opportunities."

To which I repeated that he's not an owner so songtradr should fix the code requiring his approval rather than have us workaround songtradr's bad code: "Although xxx is listed as and is actually the singer we hired, he has no ownership in the song, but instead was hired on a work for hire basis. Thus, we have no continuing relationship with him to be able to ask him to do a lot of unnecessary approvals only because songtradr has bad code that songtradr should fix. Is there a way that we can accurately list him as the singer of the song without having to get him to fill out songtradr information in order for us to monetize the song?.....What you are asking is tantamount to if I hired a painter to paint my portrait, and I paid the painter and now I own the painting outright, and then I want to sell my painting, having to go get the original painter's approval to do that. It's ridiculous. Please fix, or explain a workaround where only the owners of the song have to give approval to sell the song."

To which we received an irrelevant blurb about how in song activation (the song is already activated), one can put in information about represented owners (the singer has ZERO ownership so is not a "represented" owner and is not an owner at all which was my basic point all along) if someone owns a publishing/label business (which we do not own such a business so this is all entirely irrelevant).

And at this point I already know this is below acceptable customer service because:
1) the problem in their code shouldn't be there to start with
2) then their customer service makes little effort to resolve the issue I want resolved - I just want to monetize my song without having to go hunt down a non-owner and cajole him into signing onto songtradr and giving approvals that shouldn't be necessary.
3) and customer service doesn't send coherent, relevant responses, making the issue that much more frustrating and annoying - meanwhile, it's a long process and all the while we're not getting any monetization on this song.

This review rating is hoping the issue will eventually get resolved in some sort of timely basis. I'll come back and lower the rating even further if they don't.

I don’t understand how anyone could have much negative feedback on Songtradr, it basically just kick-started my music career, occasionally I may bump into an issue, but the support team is always there to help, I’m usually talked through things with either Zak or Sophia, and they’re really nice, straight forward people, they tell me what I need to know and what to do to fix the issue in a very simply laid out manner.

I contacted customer support of Songtradr and explained to Sophie what my problem was. She answered promptly and resolved my issue. I am very happy with the service I have received from Songtradr support staff!
