I bought my 3rd Ukelele, mail order, from SUS this week, very speedy service ordered Monday delivered by Wednesday.
I purchased the Kala instrument after reviewing many video demo’s by the team whilst looking for something £250 to £300 budget in a solid wood.
I visited the shop a few years back and met with great service there and they have a large inventory.

I wanted to restring a flat backed mandolin as an 8 string ukulele but without wound strings.
Rob of Southern Ukulele was very helpful, the advice was precise and the delivery very quick.
Now have an 8 string taropatch with 1 low G and 1 high C, sounds really good.
Excellent store and excellent staff, what more can I say?

A very pleasant experience in my dealings.I had some problems which I explained . After a chat with Rob I placed my order. I was given five star service and was assured that there would be no problem with delivery. Delivery was at my request and the instrument was beautifully set up . I haven’t put it down all weekend. I'm a beginner/intermediate who was looking for a step up ukulele from the cheap one I'd been learning on. I've been using SuS for several years now for strings. I'm always impressed with there efficiency, strings arrive next day. I have, after a lot of searching, found a beautiful tenor ukele at SuS; a stunning kala, all wood flamed maple with dark purple binding. It plays beautifully and sounds gorgeous. I'm in love.
The service was incredibly quick and efficient. Delivery was no problem and packaging sturdy and in good order.
Great shop and plenty of choice.

I purchased a Kala U-Bass from southern ukulele store 2 days ago for my fiancé's birthday. it arrived the next day and is absolutely perfect, they were prompt with assuring me it would be with me next working day, and it arrived by 1pm.
so happy with the slight discount than larger stores too!

After a lot of research I bought a Snail uke from SUS recently - found their comparison videos extremely useful and customer service second to none. I messaged to ask for some general advice to help me choose and got a phone call the next morning to talk me through everything. Super Happy to finally get my eager hands on a Rebel tenor Double Creme from SUS, as far as I know the only current source in the UK. Next day delivery and securely packaged.Fabulous instrument with tremendous clarity and warmth, intrinsically suited to Low G, excellent setup. Purchased on the strength of several glowing reviews, but most especially on Alex's spot on Youtube recommendations. The online SUS videos reliably offer honest, knowledgeable and detailed comparative reviews, covering established and emergent uke brands, which really give you a feel for the character of the instruments discussed. Over the last couple of years I have purchased three ukuleles from these guys and been very happy each time. Shipping is fast and safe. The ukes have been set up perfectly. Communication has been great when required. I'm more that happy to recommend them.

Contacted the Southern Ukulele Store (SUS) having seen a number of really useful videos on YouTube about the best ukuleles for beginners, be sure to check them out. I emailed and got a super quick and very helpful reply from Rob, the boss and placed my order. Delivery was super quick and the customer service absolutely top draw. If you're after a Uke these are definitely the peeps to go to. They know how to do customer service and have all the knowledge and know how you need. They've got a loyal customer for life in me, thanks to you all at SUS. Also, I just ordered a really funky strap!
