The communication was not good. They took my order but then didn't hear anything until I sent a email to find out why it had not shipped 4 days latter. they said it was in possess and would ship soon.... See more

Absolutely the worst online shopping experience I've ever had. Paid $289 for a rooftop carrier that was supposed to be delivered in a week. It was NEVER DELIVERED. FedEx notes made it obvious the item was lost or left undelivered. (BTW it's 30 days since I purchased it and still isn't delivered.) I contacted customer service at Sportsmans Guide once by phone and over 7 times via email when the package was 3 weeks late. Their response? "Just wait" or "Severe weather delayed it" and "We can't do anything."
After 3 weeks of begging for help I had to call my credit card company to dispute the transaction. It was $289 and I'm not rich, I can't just lose that kind of money.
I'm one of the scammed. Yes I bought into the $9 for 3 months of thier buyers club. On Dec 26, the day after Christmas and a Sunday to boot, Paypal notified me of their charging me $49 for a year. Even though I cancelled the membership. I demanded a refund, they sent me a robo email. Further enqueries they simply ignored. I found out, you have to go to Paypal and remove them from the auto pay there. The company will just ignore you. Bait and switch scam. Now I have to pay attention next Christmas that they don't do this to me again.
Horrible experience. Ordered rifle, provided FFL, waited, waited, called customer service, was told items in stock, awaiting shipping order, waited, waited, then find out that order was cancelled. No notification, no reason.
Horrible, unprofessional place to do business, will never return, will never recommend.
Stay away. They will automatically cancel your orders even after you confirm to keep it. I ordered ammo from them 1 year and 6 months ago and still waiting.
They cancelled my order and refuse to reinstate it. Do yourself a favor. Shop local and help out the little guy. This company is a joke.
Not using this company again. I placed an order August of 2020. Every time the expected deliver date changed, I received an email asking for a confirmation and I accepted every time.
In January of 2021, they supposedly sent me another email (which I never got) and they automatically canceled the order. I called customer service and they reinstated my order.
Over the next year, I have received new multiple emails asking for order confirmation. I accepted every one until they supposedly sent another email in November of 2021 that I never got. So they canceled it again.
I called customer service again and they said there is a new policy saying they will not reinstate orders.
I suspect this is new policy is just a clever scheme to avoid selling items at the price they originally agreed to. Why sell a product to me when they can sell it to someone else for more? From a customer's point of view, this seems too much like a con artist. Companies like this will never get my business. My company would never treat anyone like this.
This company is a joke. I placed an order for ammunition over a year ago and it's been on "backorder". I've called many times and they keep telling me it will be delivered "next month". I held on to the order because the price of ammo was a good price.
I called again, because I was told it was to ship the end of November.
THEY CANCELLED MY ORDER without notifying me. They won't match the price, they won't resend the "email" I supposedly got notifying me of why it was canceled. It comes down to they don't want to honor the price. It's a joke ... STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
I ordered some stuff and got an automated voicemail to call them back to verify something, you can not get through to their customer service. I canceled my order and will never use them again
They are worthless. Scam. Dont do business with them. always an issue
Great prices and fast shipping!! Just started making 4 easy payments for a brand new clam fish shack.
Be careful with these people.
I bought something from them last year and somehow ended up with a membership that they just tried to renew for $50.
I NEVER join clubs or anything like that to buy something. It was obviously a scam and they hoped people wouldn't notice a renewal fee. t was just blind luck that I noticed it.
They did quickly refund the money, but I expect it's because they didn't want to cause a dust up and receive extra scrutiny that would come from people complaining to the BBB and law enforcement.
I ordered "Ammo Inc. Range Pack, .300 AAC Blackout, BTHP Match, 155 Grain, 200 Rds. w/Ammo Can" from Sportsmansguide
When I received the order, the carton box was cleanly cut by a knife. The packaging appeared to be good before it was cut. The ammo can seal was opened and resealed.
Out of 200 cartridges, there were only 197 cartridges in the can. Three were missing.
While the box damage could happen at any steps of the order, from warehouse, packaging, shipping and so on, it begged 2 questions:
1 - Assuming that the damage happened during the shipping, why the person who cut the box took only 3 cartridges and resealed the can? Why didn't that person just take the whole thing?
2 - There were only 3 cartridges missing out of 200, why? Probably the person who did it wanted to do it on a large number of packages, took only 2 or 3 out of thousands of orders. Nobody would care to recount hundreds of cartridges out of an ammo can. And the person who did this can potentially take tens of thousands of bullets, and nobody will pay any attention.
I cancelled my membership for lacking the confidence of the company and the shipping.
I ordered product ,paid extra for quick shipping and still haven't received product or acknowledgement of delay. No matter which delivery systems most companies are using -- don't pay for expensive Express shipping. They all say COVID - I've tracked 70% of my goods and USPS, FedEx, or UPS -- all are terrible!!! And companies ordered from don't give money back for Express failures. Might as well buy locally and pay a little more but have it sooner. Some things ordered have taken reroute to same states 3 times and returned to shipper before ever making destination. Not cost effective or good business practice.
I cancelled the $150.00 boots for my son after the delivery was delayed two different times after waiting the original 6 weeks that was promised on the website.
I received the $10 socks, however, because the boots were cancelled, I was then charged $10 for S&H for a stupid pair of socks. I would have never paid that much to get a pair of socks mailed here. After all this, I cancelled my trial membership. I see no benefit of having it.
Dont get a membership. This place has terrible service.
Bought some Easton Full Metal Jacket arrows. I paid the extra money to have them cut to 29 inches and had the inserts pre-installed. This was the second time I purchased from Sportsmanguide, the first shop was fine. This time, my arrows arrived with the inserts glued in wrong. No big deal, I figured I would contact customer support and have them redo them.
I've contacted customer support 3 times now and they just ghost me. This tells me the company doesn't really have a customer service department. Shop somewhere else (Amazon, Walmart, Lancaster Archery etc)
I spent 5 minutes ordering something to find it was not available yet it's still listed as available. I was offered a $5 certification VALID FPR 2 HOURS for my trouble.. This is not the first time this has happened.
I received a coupon for my birthday as a member and found a coupon for a gun site couldn't be used on guns, ammo, sites, etc aka anything gun related..
To say they're legit is using the lowest definition
Bought ammo in July 2020, my expected ship date is July 2022. I understand that there’s an ammo shortage but 2 years is insane. They are back ordering my order because they almost doubled the price of my purchase and I’m locked into the original price. Don’t waste your time with this company.
I also ordered ammo in July of 2020. Received notice again today that expected delivery is July 2022. Paid for membership for free shipping and will never order from them again. Cannot even get the 1st order.
I ordered my first product from them despite the reviews and couldn't be happier. I ordered an SB stock that showed in stock. It was shipped immediately and was delivered as promised. Their web site is very clear about membership and where to cancel if you don't want it. Must just be ammo that is causing the negative reviews.
These guys will say they have something in stock and that you get free shipping with the order if you join. After joining they postponed my ammo order that was suppossed to be in stock for over a year and a half. Wasted the membership fee...
It has been over a year since I've ordered ammunition from this company, and over the months I've gotten perhaps 5 e-mails delaying the order for vague reasons. The ammo was never delivered and I have moved since the order. Inquiry into the nature behind the delays gave some information, but I had to pry quite hard and leave a BBB review to get the attention of someone who knew more than the people who responded to my e-mails (weeks after the initial inquiry, mind you).
