Terrible

Terrible.

I pre-booked for a room for our wedding back in August 2023. What I paid for was the room with the four poster bed, balcony, view and open en-suite, but when it came to the day, I had what I can only describe as a prison cell. In fact, prison cell would have been higher standard.

I reported my issue immediately, but was ignored.

I reported to the manager AND the owner of the company, who have also been ignoring me.

I left a poor review on Google, which was deleted.

Do not support such an unprofessional establishment.

Discrimination of disable person with assistance dog.

I bought a voucher on wowcher to stay at Stanton House Hotel and celebrate my partner’s 75th birthday. As I have a disability and have an assistance dog, I called the hotel before buying the voucher to explain my situation and see if we were allowed to take the dog with us. I was told over the phone that we could take my dog, but after emailing the hotel to redeem the voucher we were told they do not accept dogs. At the time I was dealing with a cancer diagnosis and very fragile (specially emotionally) and tried my best to get a refund with the hotel, but they refused to process the refund. It was a huge disappointment for us because of my partners’s age and my health we were looking forward to have this nice trip to celebrate his birthday. We felt very let down and abused by the lack of professionalism of the hotel employees and management. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone with a disability.
