Zero Stars!!!!

In April 2024 I went to Staples and bought a Brother Printer. I was looking forward to using it as it had great reviews. It also helped that it was on sale too. Once I was about to pay for the printer, I was asked for about buying an extended warranty. Which I agreed to and paid for it. I was not told how it works and what is required to make a claim or their return police.

I brought home the printer, set it up and it worked. Got rid of the box about 2 weeks later for recycling, my fault completely. I didn't read the fine print on the receipt regarding the box.

Anyway, after 2 weeks of periodically using the printer, I tried to use the printer and it would suddenly trip the breaker in the office. I tried to plug it into other outlets, it would still trip the breaker and not even turn on after awhile. Obviously a faulty machine.

I called Staples in Burlington and they told me they can't do anything unless I had the original box. Of course I threw it out. The manager at the Burlington Staples basically said call Brother and deal with them.

So I called Brother, and they were more than useless. They said they can't fix anything and to deal with the Staples store again. I call Staples Burlington again and they told me they can't do anything. Not even offer a refund on the extended warranty or anything. More than useless too. So frustrating.

This experience was absolutely atrocious and I will never shop at a Staples again and tell anyone willing to listen to not even both shopping at Staples too.

Word to the wise, don't buy an extended warranty or anything for that matter until you read the fine print. So I am now out almost $300 because of throwing out a simple box which held a defective piece of equipment that no one was willing to take responsibility for.

This is unacceptable for a business who apparently strives to serve you better.

Buyer beware! Don't deal with Staples in Burlington.

Staples Canada Stouffville Location

Staples Canada Stouffville Location. Worst customer service in photo printing and the Store Manager. The older man. He doesnot know how to talk to customers, always talk with an attitude, me personally and today I witness for another person.
He literary barks at people. When we went to take passport photo he said to my kid who is 7 , if you dont stay as I said I am taking a photo and it will reject and I am, not responsible. This man should not be taking photos of kids. Then he have not stamp on the back of the photo so I had to go to the service Canada and return again for stamp. Worst place ever. Apart from that they charge $2.99 service fee for even a little photo copy. Unbelievable.

Worst online order experience

Waiting for my Staples order.
On Thursday the driver allegedly tried to make a delivery but the business was closed. Interesting given than I was in my office with the window overlooking the front door and I didn’t see a delivery truck all day, nor did the doorbell ring.
Customer service was asked to reschedule for Monday since we are legitimately closed on Fridays. They made a Friday delivery attempt anyway.
On Sunday a nearby fire knocked out power to our building so Monday morning we put a note on the door. The front steps were also covered in “do not cross” tape. But allegedly the driver attempted delivery, somehow not noticing the note or the caution tape. Customer service was asked to redirect the package to the building next door.
On Tuesday I got another report that they couldn’t deliver because of a fire and sent me a picture of the note I’d taped to the door the day before. On the building they weren’t supposed to be delivering to. Making no attempt to go to the alternate address they’d been given.

So apparently their drivers claim businesses are closed when they don’t feel like making a delivery attempt and customer service Ignore’s anything you tell them.

I went to buy a computer chair at Store…

I went to buy a computer chair at Store 171 in Sault Ste. Marie. There were two display models of the same chair on display at a decent price. When I decided to make the purchase, they tried to give a downgrade of the chair for the price on the display of the upgraded version. I advised that I wanted the chair for the display price. They said we can't do that. I spoke to a manager the next day who was rude when I expressed that I did not like being deceived. She politely dismissed me rather than dealing with the issue. I will never shop at Staples again. Best Buy always has wonderful Customer Service.

Ravneet Kaur at the Sherwood Park

Ravneet Kaur at the Sherwood Park, AB Staples store is an excellent Wireless Consultant. After 2 days from purchase I found my reception was not good with Virgin. I wanted to change my plan to Bell and also upgrade my iPhone 13 to an iPhone 15 Plus because of size. Ravneet was able to help me. She was pleasant and very patient during this transaction. Thank you again Ravneet.

Horrendous, why.

The staples canada websites (yes BOTH the SEPERATE[thumbs down] .ca and print.ca) are consistantly among the worst websites I try to visit. Every couple of months i think "huh, maybe they've fixed the horrendous glitches." but no. The never have. Constant freezing, disconnecting, aweful options, bugs galore, and at the end of the day, horrid printing. IN my opinion.

The .com site is incredible! And after putting together a cart, and not knowing I need to switch to one of the other TWO canadian different sites, I was immensly dissapointed in the difference. Why so different??!?!?!

Staples does not stand behind their knapsacks

Staples does not provide warranty on knapsacks bought in their store. I bought a bookbag set made by bioworld and it started to fall apart within a month. But Because I bought it in July but my granddaughter only started using it in Sept it was out of their 30 day return period. I was told to contact the manufacturers bioworld directly but after many messages and an online support request which was never answered I went back to staples who said too bad so sad. So buyer beware they don't stand by the products they sell. Last time I purchase there.

Great

Great! I am very satisfied with the whole process: the on-line upload of my pdf, binding options, speedy turnaround (in 46 hours!), and quality of the final book.

Thank you Staples Print Centre for coming through for me. I handed-over my 54 page book, that just finished designing and writing, and you scored. Well done.

The in-store and on-line customer service was helpful and informative.

Copy & Print Is A Fiasco Now

For over a year now Staples Copy & print (I always use Oakville) has been having issues with on line orders. I always click on same day printing and yes sometimes after that days cut off, but it should be ready the following day as per website. but each order now is always submitted as a standard order 3-5 business days. On occasion I have gone into the store several days later for the file to still be there and not even in the queue. Where is the disconnect? Anything I send to Staples is usually for something that is somewhat time sensitive and 3-5 business days will usually be too late or not acceptable. If the website is asking do you want same day printing, and the system submits standard "shipping" or File that under "we'll get to it eventually" perhaps someone should be looking into it. The employees there always say we can make HR know though what HR will do is beyond me and you know they are not going to do that. This lack of consistency now at Staples C&P is concerning. This is not a one off incident this is constant now and seems to be the only constant think about Staples C&P.

If I could give zero stars I 100%…

If I could give zero stars I 100% would. I was wanting to scan, only scan, some very important papers and then email them out to different parties. The people at staples told me that I could scan my papers myself for $0.75/page and if one of them were to do it for me it would cost me a lot more. In total it would have costed me about $180 to SCAN my papers!!!! This is absolutely ridiculous!
I came down to the public library and scanned my papers for FREE!!!
So if anyone wants multiple papers scanned: DO NOT go to STAPLES!!!! Go to the public library!

I’d rather staple my eyes shut than give them my business

I’ve been a small business owner for four years and I dread going to the copy and print counter because to ask them to do something is like asking for a kidney! I got so fed up with their poor customer service that I bought a coloured printer rather than put up with their horrible attitudes in the store, online and their copy machines are always breaking down. They charge outlandish prices and give zero back. I’ve had at least 3 laminators that cost $100 so luckily I bought a warranty because their products are crap. I hope they go out of business soon. They suck bigtime!

The post office in the back of Staples…

The post office in the back of Staples have horrible staff doing all the courier for several companies. The curly hair girl completely ignored me as I stood for 20mins. And she has been there for over 1yr. I walked out and came back. No hi, apologies,no normal
Social skills. Took my pkge.as I waited to make sure she put the label on it. She just stared at me. I’ve had one Amazon returned showing not received. & they said it’s logged as left and problem must be in their end. Brought a friend in today & she asked the same girl a question. Same impression as me.and she was chatting with 2 new staff, that’s all I need is 3 with same lack of people skills. Do better!

Most bizarre service charge ever

I generally do my purchasing from Staples, but as of today that will come to an end. I made a purchase from Amazon that I had to return. I had to preprint a return label, apply to my return, and then take it to Staples to complete the return. On a previous occassion, we were instructed to leave the carton opened so that the return can be inspected for correct content. So, we assumed the same would apply in this case. Not so. The staff said we have to tape up the carton. But they wanted to charge us $1.99 (plus tax) for 2 feet of tape to seal the carton. Absolutely outrages. I refused to pay that much for 2 feet of tape. I decided to purchase a full role of tape for the same cost. I have to say they offered to loan me their scissors to cut the tape, but I refuse just in case they wanted to bill me for that as well. I'm done with Staples.

Staples always gets the delivery wrong. I have never had accurate delivery promises. They always send an email stating delivery delay. This is why I use Amazon, but thought I would give them another chance. Staples sucks in store and online shopping. Back to Amazon!

Very disappointed with Staples Canada…

Very disappointed with Staples Canada store 0445, very bad customer service and the product warrant is a big scam, yes a big scam. The store unfriendly employees ask you to use the website that is not straight forward and then call a number to be told the 3 years warrant needed to be claimed within 30 days of the purchase.

Please, don't be the next victim, CANCEL Staple Canada store, don't buy or recommend any one

Staples have bad system

I didn’t know Staples have bad reviews. No wonder. Because I’ve experienced it myself. Bought 2 luggages online. A couple days later they’ve emailed me the 2 luggages ready to pickup. Came down to Staples, customer service said she got only 1 luggage. I just realized Staples have bad system. They should hold the order and email me that they only have 1 luggage. That's it. Case is done. They don't care about customer. So beware.

VERY poor online product services

VERY poor online product services. After hours of working on a project their website popped up an ‘error’ and somehow erased all the work I had saved to their platform. In this day a age you’d think they’d have a more up to date website and platform to support their products. No wonder they’re ‘on sale’. They don’t even work. So frustrating. Absolute garbage.
