Very poor customer Service who don't have any idea as to what they're doing. Next day delivery service means a few days in their eyes. Requesting a call back to them probably means "meh if I'm both... See more

The order from hell
On Sunday 6th of Jan I placed an order with Staraxe Ltd for a Pioneer 50GB BD writer BDR-S07XLT which at the time of ordering was showing in stock (and still is). The drive was intended as birthday present for a friend who’s birthday was that day.
Monday 7th Jan passed without email or telephone call.
Tuesday morning – 8th Jan. Since I’d had no contact from Staraxe I thought it wise to contact them to check everything was ok. The phone answers to an automated system that puts you in a queue. At least 10 minutes had passed before being greeted by a representative called Thomas. I explained my position and I was told that the product was not in stock. I asked why I had not been informed and Thomas explained that it was in stock but there was only one and it was damaged. He didn’t want to send that one out to me so he was trying to source another but it would take a few days. I reiterated that it was a birthday present and that I couldn’t wait a few days and requested a refund. At this point he advised me to leave it with him while he looked into alternatives and would then call me back. Aware that all orders needed to be processed before 4pm to make post I called again not long after 3pm. He had found an alternative but hadn’t bothered to call me back. He offered me a product which he claimed was more expensive and better; a LiteOn 4x DVD writer with Blu Ray playback. Needless to say I told him I wasn’t interested and could he process the refund. Again he asked me to leave it with him and he would call me back shortly. I got a call around 5:30pm – I was offered the ASUS BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS 12X Blu-ray, which I thought would be OK so agreed. He assured me that he could still make post and for my trouble would make sure that it was next day delivery. Around 6:30pm my order details had been updated to reflect shipped and an email confirmed this.
Wednesday 9th Jan – No delivery.
Thursday midday – 10th Jan. All the usual deliveries had been and gone so I rang staraxe once again. I sat listening to the automated system for another 10 minutes before being greeted by Thomas. I let him know there had been no delivery Wednesday nor today so far, which he found odd since he’d shipped it Tuesday by Royal Mail special delivery. He looked on his computer system and informed me that the driver had called but I wasn’t in and so returned it to the sorting office. I asked for the tracking number as no card had been left by the driver but was told he only had the internal number. He said the warehouse would have the tracking number and that he would ring them and call me back with it. Meanwhile, I called Royal Mail and explained I had no tracking number but apparently a driver had called but was unable to deliver my parcel. A helpful guy asked for my address details and checked on his systems, after which he said there was nothing for my address and that a card is always posted. He checked two systems but neither had any records of my failed delivery or that of a special delivery from staraxe to my home address. No call back from staraxe ltd.
Friday 11th Jan. After the usual hassle of getting through to staraxe, I was informed that the product had been shipped by TNT. So… I rang TNT – again no record!
Monday 14th Jan – 8 days from placing the order. Nothing!
Tuesday morning 15th Jan. My order had arrived!
•Box stated NEXT DAY DELIVERY by City Link dated 14th Jan !!
•Packed in a cardboard box – padded by tiny airbags.
•One bare drive in an opened plastic bag.
•Scratched plastic where it looked like it had been slid in and out of a previous computer.
•No Retail Box
•No Drivers / Software
•No Bonus ( as stated on the box advert)
Its now Friday 18th Jan and after several phone calls to arrange collection and refund, nobody has collected the drive and I still have not received a refund!!
In short:
•Bad customer service
•Staraxe have lied several times.
•Had very little product knowledge.
•No urgency about them.
•Supplied a retuned / damaged item as new.
•Did not supply retail box, drivers and software.
Everything written here is true, but as you can imagine I’m a little angry. I have tried to keep it factual without expressing to much opinion but if I was ever asked would you recommend staraxe – my reply would be to steer well clear!!
Purchased ipad4
I wanted the ipad4 but didn't want to pay full retail price. After doing much research I came across their website. Was completely a smooth transaction, was given tracking number and item arrived earlier than expected. Love my ipad!! Thanks staraxe!!

superior iphone 5
I brought an Iphone 5 64GB from this company. I was unsure whether to buy from them. I was able to find them on ebay. They are top rated sellers with over 2000 feedback.
I really needed an iphone 5 and no one else was selling it, so I brought the item. Checkout was easy and simple.
After 2 working days my iphone was here and I am so happy. Great company, great service.
Cheers Guys.
Fantastic Service, Great Price
I brought a Sony Dualshock 3 controller from them and found their price to be the best in the limited edition scarlet red (£29.99). I was a little bit cautious at first, but when I saw that they have an eBay outlet with more than 2000 rating at 100% feedback and accept Paypal, I assured myself that this company would be safe and genuine. When I placed my order I checked out easily through Paypal on their website. I was very happy to find that the item was in fact genuine and arrived the next day. I would recommend this company.
